The Billionaire God of War

The Billionaire God of War
Chapter 2 The Mad Son-in-law

Chapter 2

When she heard this voice, Diane trembled slightly.

He looked at Gerald who was standing in front. This grandfather had never seemed to worry about him since he was born.

Gerald never even looked at her when she was born, because she was a girl.

Now she will choose her husband and make a decision that will affect the rest of her life.

Dian breathed a heavy sigh. He was angry and frustrated and he opened his mouth to protest, but suddenly he saw William sitting on his wheelchair shaking his head at her, pleading with her with his eyes.

So he didn't say anything.

"Gentlemen and ladies, after the selection process by our family, among the ten outstanding applicants, we have chosen the best to be Diane's husband. I hope everyone here will bless the new couple!"

With that, everyone applauded.

To Diane, this applause mocked her. Or even pity him.

Her eyes turned red, and she struggled to hold back her tears from falling.

"Dad, this is the guy."

Steven took out a beautifully designed card and gave it to Gerald. Their last chosen name is written there.

They've checked carefully. This person had no background to speak of, an orphan, over thirty years old, poorly educated, uncultured, or, having no skills and homelessness – arguably he could be considered a completely useless man.

And he even experienced a disjointed onslaught of madness.

They heard that it was hereditary!

If so, then after this man married Diane, other than deciding on the family business from Diane, even her children could forget about taking a single penny from Palmers!

Steven looked at Diane and her family sitting in one area, and there was a moment of excitement on her face.

"Now I want to announce our final choice!"

Gerald was nearsighted and couldn't see clearly, so he narrowed his eyes and looked at the cards carefully before announcing, "This is a lucky young man, Ethan Hunt!"

When the name was announced, everyone turned to look at the back door of the hotel.

She was married to a family, so of course she could only enter from the back door.

The back door opened and a young man entered.

William and his wife could not bear to see him.

They knew that Steven would definitely choose the worst man to be Diane's husband.

But Diane turned to look. She wanted to see who would be her husband.

Ethan looked up and looked into his eyes, but no one said anything.

He walked right across the hall and everyone stared at him. Surprisingly his facial expression looked mocking, as well as somewhat evil.

"Ethan, congratulations on making her Diane's husband and marrying into the Palmer family."

Steven added, "You don't have to thank us, we just hope you'll take good care of Diane."

Ethan must be forever grateful to the Palmer family for giving home to orphans like him.

Steven walked over to Diane and gently grabbed her hand, his face attentive and considerate.

"Come, Dian."

He grabs Diane's hand and takes her in front of Ethan, then puts her hand in Ethan's hand.

All the guests started clapping again when they saw this, as if they were attending a happy engagement ceremony.

But William and the family knew that everyone was just laughing at them!

Tomorrow, all Greencliff will know that a man has married into the Palmer family as Diane's husband, and that will be the talk of the town.

Diane's mind went blank, as if she had been completely emptied.

He seemed to be unable to hear or see anymore, and did not even know what time the banquet ended.

After the banquet ended, April immediately left in tears, while William quickly rolled up his wheelchair following her.

At the entrance of the hotel, a cold wind blew on her face and Diane came to her senses.

He looked at Ethan standing beside him. His face was expressionless, but his voice was hoarse.

"Uncle, I don't blame you."

He quietly continued, "You should also be pitied."

Ethan was ten years older than him, so it seemed more appropriate to call him Uncle.

He didn't say a word all day.

The person in front of her was the little girl from fifteen years ago. He's still as good as he used to be.

She tolerates this situation and suffers from this kind of bullying just so that her parents can live happily.

"Oho, my dear cousin, congratulations!"

Suddenly a man walked out of the entrance and smiled with clenched hands while smiling, "Happy to have such an amazing husband!"

He deliberately emphasized the word 'extraordinary', and said it with incredible sarcasm.

Diane frowned and bit her lips. He looked at Archie Palmer and clenched his fists.

"My father and my family are working hard for your wedding," Archie sighed as he said. "Well now that everything is in order and you have found someone, my uncle can also calm down."

She doesn't care about Diane whose face is pale and turns to glance at Ethan.

This useless man was found by his father, Steven. When he thought about the information they had about him, he could not help but laugh.

So a man can be this useless.

"For my new cousin-in-law: now that you're married to the Palmer family, you better be nice to my cousin here," Archie continued happily. "Hurry up to have kids okay? That would make Grandpa happy too."

"No matter what your child looks like, or even if you give birth to a retarded child, the Palmer family is able to raise him."

Dian can't take it anymore. "Archie, are you done!"

"Diane, I only give you my blessing" replied Archie. "Grandfather also said that he hoped that you would soon have children. I thought you'd finish this mission tonight."

If they really had a retarded child, it would be even funnier.

"You!"

Diane raised her hand and Archie's face immediately darkened.

"What, you want to hit me?"

Diane bit her lips, angry and angry.

If he dares to hit the eldest grandson of Palmers, then tomorrow his family will be expelled from the family!

To his grandfather, only his grandson was a member of the Palmer family. He ... does not qualify.

Archie grew even more excited when he saw Diane lower her hand.

Ever since they were young, only he had to bully Diane. Diane could only dream about taking advantage of him.

"I'm doing this for your own good, but you don't appreciate my good intentions," Archie deliberately sighed loudly, "Your father has been crippled for years, and you've been a little bit crippled, and your family would have starved to death long ago if the Palmers hadn't supported you. Now we've tried so hard to find you a husband and you're not only ungrateful but you want to hit me too. If Grandpa finds out you tried to hit me, the consequences.”.

Dian started shaking.

He looked at Archie very angrily – how could someone be this shameless!

He turned to leave, but Archie blocked his path again.

"Diane, this is Grandpa's decision. If you're not happy, tell him."

Diane started crying from her anger and her anger had been pushed to its limits.

"What do you want to do?"

Ethan suddenly broke his silence.

Diane lifted her head and looked at Ethan, and said, "I want to slap him hard!"

He had just finished speaking and there was a loud slap. Archie held onto his face as he fell to the ground, and he didn't even have time to shout.

He only managed to react when he felt a burning sensation from his face. He's the one who got slapped!

Ethan slapped him!

Archie was dumbfounded, so was Diane.

Ethan dared to hit Archie?

He's just a guy who married into a family!

"You…"

Diane's face paled instantly from fear.

Archie's gonna kill Ethan!

"Why are you listening to me?" Dian muttering.

"That's because you're my wife now" replied Ethan.
