"Estane!"

Diane yelled at him, "You can't talk about my father like that!"

His eyes were all red and his tears could not stop flowing.

No one was allowed to talk about his father like that!

Ethan just ignored it. "If you're more assertive, or if you stand up against all this, you think Mum and Diane will be bullied so badly?"

"Mom's been wearing that dress for a couple of years now, hasn't she?"

"Does she still buy cosmetics at all?"

"Diane could have continued her studies, but why did she enter the Palmer Group immediately after getting a foundation degree?"

"He goes out early in the morning and comes back late at night, works harder than anyone else, works more tirelessly than anyone else, but is his salary higher than anyone else?"

Every word from Ethan will tear William apart!

He did not leave a shred of sympathy, shredding William's pride with a few words.

William can't look after his wife or protect his own daughter – what kind of man is he?

"Ethan.I beg you, don't say it again."

Diane pulls on Ethan's sleeve. "Don't hurt my dad again, please?"

Ethan looked at Diane, then parked his car by the side of the road.

"I didn't hurt him. The one who had hurt him all this time was himself."

Ethan continued, "His feet lost all feeling, and physically, he couldn't stand up. But now? He can't even stand up emotionally."

"Ethan's right."

William laughed bitterly. "I've been kneeling for too long and can't stand anymore, it's not because of my real legs."

"I can make sure your legs heal and you'll be able to stand up again. But if you don't get up and stand up in your mind, then there's no meaning in taking care of your feet" Ethan replied without hesitation.

William looked up and looked Ethan in the eye.

"Mom chose you - can you bear to see him as a loser for the rest of his life?"

William suddenly felt his head wanting to explode.

Let April be a loser for the rest of her life?

He had married a weak man like himself, a weak and flawed man. She had been laughed at by her own family many times, but April had never nagged about it in front of her before.

He pretended not to know about all of this, but could he continue to pretend?

"No!"

William suddenly clenched his fists and his expression became fierce. "I won't let him be a loser for life! She's my wife, and I won't let anyone laugh at her because of me!"

"That's enough. Prepare yourselves, our families will rise from the ashes."

William and Diane were both confused. Will their families rise from the ashes?

What does Ethan mean by that?

But Ethan did not elaborate.

When they got home, William's eyes were all red. She says nothing and goes straight to sleep, and April is a little worried.

"Dian, what's going on?"

Dian shook his head.

William became like that after what Ethan said. He's also worried, and he's glaring at Ethan. Why would he have to say such sharp things?

"Mom, don't worry, I'm just tired. Tomorrow he'll be a changed man."

With that, Ethan went into his room.

Meanwhile, in the clubhouse of the hot spring.

John Howard's face was very evil.

He looked at Steven and coldly said, "CEO Palmer, it's very unethical for you to hide so much from me."

"Why didn't you tell me that the project was related to Tom Foster?"

"Brother Howard, what are you talking about? The project belongs to the Palmers family, what does that have to do with Tom Foster? He just sold us a few things, and it's all right."

Steven grunting. "But Diane was really something, I suspect she slept with Tom Foster and served him very well, and that's why he was so brave."

"I don't care about any of this."

John Howard waved his hand. "Because of this task I'm running for you, I still have 68 brothers stuck at the construction site. 100k per head - You tell me, how are you going to solve this?"

Steven smiled calmly and did not speak.

How is he going to finish this?

Damn, John Howard had taken five million from him, still had not succeeded in fulfilling his mission and now asked him how he would accomplish this?

John Howard's men are useless scum!

When he saw Steven looking as if this was none of his business, John Howard cursed in his heart.

He knew that Steven wouldn't give him any more money. After all, he had taken his money but had yet to finish what he was supposed to do, so it would not be easy to earn any more money.

"Now that Tom Foster is involved, it's going to be hard to finish."

John Howard continued, "Again, I've been looking for Tom Foster. He said there was someone who supported him, and it was someone I couldn't hurt!"
