Chapter 9

It was late at night.

It was time to sleep, but Diane could not sleep at all.

She's very nervous.

Although he feels there must be more good people than bad people in the world, he only knows Ethan for one day.

Ethan was lying on the floor and he could feel the anxiety in Diane's breath.

Diane's heart fell and she took her hand out from under the pillow.

She bit her lips gently. How did Ethan know he put scissors in there?

"He won't hurt me."

For some reason, Diane was becoming more and more convinced of this.

So he relaxed, closed his eyes and fell asleep.

The night went well.

Diane woke up the next day, and her sleep was pretty good. Ethan had eaten breakfast when he came out of the room.

April has red eyes. He obviously didn't sleep well.

"Hurry up and eat breakfast, I get up early to prepare it."

Ethan's really helping himself around here.

When she sees Diane heading for the bathroom, April quickly runs after her.

"Last night, did he ..."

"Nothing happened, Mom."

Dian blushed. "He slept on the floor, didn't touch me."

After saying that, Diane found herself thinking in a different direction.

Especially after they heard some gossip about Diane sleeping with the famous CEO of Foster, and purposely showing off to the Palmer Group!

Even CEO Steven, his uncle, had to beg him to go back to work!

It's exaggerated!

How could there be such a person?

The anger among the employees was enough to reach the sky.

"I heard he's homeless and has a mental illness. This Diane has a strong taste in men!"

All the employees started whispering amongst themselves.

And getting angry.

At first they did not believe that Diane was really such a person, as many of them had worked with her.

But now that Diane's useless husband was both arrogant and even dared to ridicule Steven, so surely Diane was more unreasonable right?

It seems like he's been acting all along.

Absolutely hypocritical!

Diane started crying. He's not deaf. The voices were not loud but were still heard in his ears.

He felt that this was unfair to him, because he did not do these things.

"Don't worry about what others think," Ethan spoke softly. "People who are not as good as you who will try all means and means to destroy you, understand?"

Diane looked at Ethan stunned, then she nodded.

Steven had arranged a new office space for her. He had it all to himself, bigger and more luxurious than his previous office.

This makes other employees even more unhappy.

Diane wants to reject this new office, but Ethan just opens the door and enters without a care.

For him, it was sad that his wife had to use such an office.

"Dad, I think the whole company hates Diane now."

Archie was very happy to think about this. "And that crazy guy!"

Steven smiled coldly. He had many ways to deal with such people. This was just little Diane, she didn't even need to think too hard.

"Is CEO Foster here yet?"

"He should be here soon."

Steven nodded. "Later we'll expose Diane's true colors. Do you think that crazy Ethan would go crazy and beat the CEO of Foster to death when he found out his wife had been tainted by the CEO of Foster?"
