Chapter 8

Archie was so angry that his teeth were grinding.

He humbled himself and begged humbly, and this is the attitude Ethan gave him?

He had already given them a way out and they did not know how to take it!

"You ... Just wait!"

Archie yells this and runs away, afraid Ethan will go crazy and hit him again.

April exchanged glances with William, then they both looked at Diane.

"Are we making too much noise?"

Archie's last words before leaving were clearly a threat.

Diane couldn't help but feel a little worried.

He knew very well what kind of person Steven and his son were.

He never saw William as his own brother, so of course he did not treat the William family as brothers.

If they upset him, this man is capable of anything.

"Not everything."

Ethan calmly cut. "He told us to wait, so we'll wait."

With that, Ethan starts cleaning the dishes. April rushes to do it instead when she sees him start cleaning.

"It's hard for you, Mum," Ethan smiled as he said this.

He quickly adapted to the role.

William was still uncomfortable, but he did not know what to say. After all, he was not the one who had the final say in this family.

So he could only hide in his room again and timidly close the door firmly behind him.

"Now you have really offended them."

Dian sighed.

It's not bad that Archie came to apologize. He had never seen Archie humble himself before.

An hour passed.

April has finished washing the dishes. When she sees that Ethan has gone to take a bath, she quickly runs into Diane's room.

"Smute?"

"Diane, who exactly is Ethan?"

April whispered, "Somehow I feel she's treating you differently."

Dian blushed.

"What are you talking about, we don't know each other at all."

He bit his lips. From the first time she sees Ethan, she constantly protects him and his family from being bullied by Steven and his son.

"You're really gonna let him sleep here tonight?"

April was worried about this.

Ethan is Diane's husband on paper, but they don't want to accept this just yet.

"He has a mental illness!"

She's afraid Ethan will hurt Diane.

Diane hesitated for a moment, then she thought of the clean and clear look in Ethan's eyes.

"He won't hurt me."

The bathroom door opened and April quickly walked out, saying to her daughter: There's an iron rod in my room, just yell if anything happens!

Diane's face was red and her heart was pounding very hard.

Is he really going to let Ethan sleep in his room?

Someone banged on the main door again.

William was like a frightened cat, all his hair standing.

April's face was as pale as ever.

He's right here!

Given his temperament, there was no way he would tolerate this!

They're destined!

Even Diane couldn't help but be nervous. He walked into the living room and stared at the door, as if there were a dozen gangsters with baseball bats behind that door.

The entire family behaved as if they were going to meet a formidable enemy!

"Open the door."

Ethan was using a towel to wipe his hair as he smiled and said, "We have guests."

Diane really did not know what to do with this casual attitude. Is this guy really not afraid? Or does he just not care?

He walked to the door and opened it. Steven stood there with Archie behind him.

"Diana."

Steven's face looked rather evil.

But he can still hold back a smile. "Your uncle came here specifically to apologize to you!"

Dian frozen.

The two eavesdropped by ear to the door of their room as well as froze.

Steven actually came here to apologize?

"Solving you is a misunderstanding, it's all Archie's fault and I've taught him a lesson."

Steven pointed at his son, and Archie immediately lowered his head, "I'm sorry Diane, I was wrong, please forgive me."

"Some of this is my fault. I didn't check properly before firing you, it was my fault."

Steven continued, "I hope you can forgive me. The company needs you very much."

His tone was as smooth as possible.

If Diane still did not agree to return, there was nothing else she could do.

"Tomorrow, I'll be at the entrance of the office to receive you and return you, then I'll also explain what happens to everyone personally so that you can do justice," said Steven.

Dian closed the door.

Steven came personally to his house to apologize!

"My brother actually came to apologize?"

His family has been bullied so badly by Steven all along!

For Steven, William is a disgrace to the Palmer family. If they had no blood relation, Steven would have driven them out of the family long ago!

"He came to apologize!"

"He came to do that!"
