Arc 2 Chapter 1: City of Freidburg

3 Years have passed after the Conjunction disaster that occurred in the Rhine Duchy of the Kingdom of Bavaria. Several Countries such as the Holy Empire of Isenburg, Grand Duchy of Bradenburg and the Kingdom of Swabia also helped in overcoming the damage caused by the monster –.
Until now, Rhine Duchy is still a Red Zone for – people due to the high concentration of Monster hordes.
The estimated recovery of the situation in the Rhine Duchy is 3 years away. Therefore, – refugee refugees are still struggling to get homes and jobs.
This resulted in the Bavarian Kingdom's economy deteriorating. Rhine Duchy is one of the highest producers of staple foods and mines in the Kingdom of Bavaria. With the current state of the Rhine Duchy, the Kingdom of Bavaria was limping and it was difficult to recover its economy.
King Conrad II was forced to make a contract – contract that was less profitable for his country so that the Kingdom of Bavaria could still survive until the disaster in the Rhine Duchy was completed. One of the Contracts that King Conrad must take is, the marriage of Princess Frederica who this year aged 17 years with the Heir of Freidburg Duchy Hans von Freidburg.
In this contract, Freidburg Duchy would lend the Kingdom of Bavaria 200,000 Gulden at 1 percent interest over 40 years.
The Freidburg Duchy region was the most prosperous and wealthy territory of the Holy Isenburg Empire. The city has a sizable population of about 250,000 people. Among them about 200,000 indigenous people of the City.
This is caused by its strategic location on the border with the Business Country of the Florentian Republic and has access to the Mediterranean which allows them to easily connect with other countries – countries located in the Asgardia Continent.
Therefore, Duke Ferdinand von Freidburg had so much money that he could pair his Son with a Foreign Princess. Even during this time, King Konrad was very difficult to get a suitable partner for his only – daughter.
However, because the state of the country is very coercive, King Conrad must give up his daughter who is loved by the inhabitants left his country to become the wife of foreign nobles.
After the Death of the Legend of Camillus, the Devil Cult and the Devil – demons began to more actively terrorize mankind. They took advantage of the momentum of the morale slump and the flurry of the Holy Knights dealing the Conjunction disaster to deal a crushing blow to the Humans.

Little did they know that the events of – this event would trigger a much larger conflict that would cause the Asgardia Continent to again experience a period of great war like 700 years ago.

Tang! Tang! Tang! Luciel was forging a sword ordered by his customers. After taking refuge in the Holy Isenburg Empire, Luciel and Liz traveled to the City of Freidburg and lived there for the past 3 years.
1 year ago, Luciel managed to raise enough money to open his Equipment Shop. He also has 2 employees who help him produce herbs and drugs – drugs that are sold to Herbalists. He also occasionally did activities as a Hunter and reached Rank Cooper.
On the other hand, Liz was already a Silver Rank Hunter and had a rank of 321 in the Holy Isenburg Empire.

Luciel then wiped his sweaty forehead.
“Well... Order for the sword I guess just wait for the reinforcement process,” murmured Luciel.
Tirling! Tiriling! Luciel's shop bell rang, a sign that a customer had entered the store.
Luciel then washed his face and rushed to see his customers in the front room.
“Welcome to the store..”
“As usual, your face always looks ridiculous after doing your forging work,” said one woman in a mocking tone cutting Luciel's greeting.

The woman had long straight black hair and had a beautiful and white face. However, with her Assassin gear she was seen letting out a dominant woman's air in contrast to her face like that.
“Ahh, Izzy. You just finished your Quest Hunter?” ask Luciel.
Izzy then sat on the available chair in front of a wooden display case.
“Yes, today is faster than usual because the Quest we took was only a C level,” said Izzy in a bored tone. He then held his face with both hands and looked at Luciel.
Luciel began to know Izzy about 2 years ago. He often did a triple Quest with Liz as well as just the two of them.

Luciel then took a box and put it on the storefront in front of Izzy. He then opened it and revealed a Dagger that looked like it had just been forged.
“I have fixed the crack using a Metal mixture that matches the original metal material of your splint,” explained Luciel.
Izzy took the dagger and examined the Dagger that Luciel had repaired. Luciel sat in his chair and drank a tej while waiting for Izzy to check his weapon. Izzy then began trying to do some slashes and punches using his new Dagger.
“Yes, there was no difference at all when I tried it back,” Izzy said.
“But, how can you fix my gun for just 10 Gulden?” ask Izzy “I came yesterday to the Blacksmith Elminha, she even asked me for up to 30 Gulden!” he added.
“Well..I did use a more inferior metal material however, I used a wetting method using Erizona powder so as to cause the inferior metal to be better,” explained Luciel.
“I don't understand what you're sayingyou know,” said Izzy.
“Hahahha. So, you satisfied with the result?” ask Luciel.
“Of course,” says Izzy.”Here, your money,” Izzy gave 5 gold coins to Luciel.
“Hey, you're kidding aren't you?” ask Luciel
“I'll give you a date all day if you want to cut down half the pay. How, are you interested? ” Izzy goda.
“Hahh.
“Seriously? I don't know your taste is mom – married mom!” yelled Izzy surprised.
“No! You misunderstood me! If I was seen walking with a woman who is too young, I'm afraid she wouldn't talk to me all day!” refute Luciel.
“Ah.. Liz, huh? Seriously, what is your relationship?” ask Izzy.
“Friends,” says Luciel briefly.
“Friends who live at home?” ask Izzy doubt it.
Luciel then nodded – nodding his head.
“Stop bye,” Izzy then threw 5 more gold coins to Luciel.”And Luciel, occasionally do a Quest with me later. I've started to get a bit bored today – today,” added Liz.
“Alright, I'll find you later,” Luciel replied with a smile
Izzy left Luciel's shop after he got the answer. Luciel then saw the clock stuck on the wall ‘He still hasn't returned, should I pick up?’ thought Luciel. It starts in the afternoon and enters the evening. Luciel then tidied up his shop and closed his shop for the day.
Luciel then walked – streets in Freidburg City and headed to where Liz used to train. Freidburg was one of the largest cities in the Holy Isenburg Empire.
In addition to being the busiest trading center in the Empire, Freidburg also became the focus of developing – young talents in the field of fighting and magic.
It is because Freidburg City has a famous Knight Academy called the Great Eagle Academy of Freidburg and One of the best Magic Towers in the Asgardia Continent, namely, the Hannover Magic Tower.
Luciel then went through a large Arena where Knight training and Knight tournaments were held. Not far from there, there is a building - the building of the Great Eagle Knight Academy Freidburg.
‘The place is huge, of course Liz really wants to get into this academy ’ thought Luciel.
After 20 minutes of walking, Luciel arrived at a small forest near the City. After entering the forest for a while, Luciel saw a red-haired girl sleeping under a tree.
Luciel approached Liz.

“You train that hard to get into the Academy, Liz,” Luciel muttered with a smile.
He picked Liz up and carried her to bring her back to their home.
“Emm.. Ahhe.. Ciel,” Liz then woke up.
“Sorry always bothers you Ciel,” Liz who is in a cradle and then apologizes.
“Heh... Are you really – really sorry? All I see is that you're very comfortable sleeping on my back,” Luciel said.
Liz who was leaning her head on Luciel's back could only smile.
Liz was used to being carried by Luciel when she was exhausted after training. Liz found comfort when leaning her head on Luciel's back and shoulders were warm.
“So, Liz will take her entrance test tomorrow?” ask Luciel.
“Yes. And in a moment, I'll be closer to my dream, Ciel.”
They then enjoy walking while watching the sunset on the horizon.
