Arc 2 Chapter 6: The Pastor's Anxiety

[City of Freidburg, Year 735 Months 5 days to 16 ]

The next morning, Luciel and Liz were having breakfast at their place.

“So, this is the last time Liz has breakfast with me?” ask Luciel.

“Hey, it's not like I'm going to leave you for good Ciel,” replied Liz while eating a Bacon.

“Well..Liz when finished training for 1 year will definitely be a great Knight Squire,” said Luciel “After all years of being a Squire, he said, Liz will definitely be inducted into a Knight of honor and all attention will be on you. What is my day that is only an ordinary blacksmith in contact with a great person like you,” explained Luciel with a seductive tone intent on pranking Liz.

“I wouldn't be like that! You always help me Ciel, where might I ignore you!” liz exclaimed in a pout with Luciel's words.

“Hahaha. But seriously, Liz will definitely be a great person in the near future,” Ciel said looking at Liz with a smile.

“Yes. I am finally getting closer to my dream. And thank you for all this time for helping me Ciel,” said Liz while looking back at him and smiling.

Luciel then began to turn his face away and said.

“Hahaha... Don't think too much you know. There is no harm in having a friend of the best Knight candidate in the Empire hahaha,” Luciel said as he turned his gaze. “Maybe later Liz can give me a connection to some nobles to promote my products right.

“Really? So Luciel just used me?” tanya Liz who arrived – suddenly stood up to Luciel not let him escape from Liz's eyes.

Liz's face looked down and her eyes glued to Luciel's eyes sitting on the chair. Luciel was about to turn his face back but Liz holding onto Luciel's chin did not let him escape.

“Hey Liz, I just teased you a little bit and here's your reply to me?” luciel frowned his forehead looking unsatisfied.

“Do not treat me like a child continue, or I will repay you with – things more than this fufufu,” Liz cheeky laughs of being content to counterattack to Luciel.

They then spend their breakfast and then bring – items that will be carried by Liz to the front.

“You sure don't need a Potter to help you take him,” Luciel said.

Liz carries a carry bag and 2 suitcases that look heavy containing – items.

“Cuman this heavy for a knight is a trivial thing,” reply Liz. “Alright, I'm leaving. Visit me every week and bring me my favorite meal yes,” said Liz who then started to turn around and go to the Great Eagle Knight Academy.

After Liz disappeared, someone approached Luciel from behind.

“So, when will Boss with her get married?” ask Rono

“What do you mean by getting married? We're just friends,” reply Luciel.

“As soon as I get ready to open the store, I will go to the Hunter Guild to do some Quest,” Luciel said.

“Why is Boss still doing dangerous things despite already having a stable business?” ask Rono.

“To keep watch – guard. You won't know when you're in – situations unexpected situations,” Luciel replied. He then stopped for a while and said.”If I want to always be next to him, shouldn't I at least be a man equal to his ability,” Luciel added.

In an orphanage, there are several children aged 5 – 10 years old are learning to read accompanied by a nurse. An orphanage-led pastor was paying attention to the learning activities of – children. After the study was over, the pastor approached the nun who was teaching the child.

“Suster, how many children were present in the study?” ask the priest.

“Does it cover all – children in the orphanage?”

“Yes. I remember all the names of the children – the boy was the priest of Bath,” replied the Sister.” Is the pastor still investigating about the inaccuracy of data – data that we recorded in recent months?” ask the Sister.

“Yes. I'm afraid this is the act of magic people – the bad guy,” said Reverend Bath. “I have already reported this and are discussing with the Holy Knight headquarters in the center of the City. They said, there is no activity – activity from Devil Cult nor traces of dark magic in the area around the city of Freidburg,” he added.

After walking for a while, Liz arrived in front of the entrance gate of the Great Eagle Knight Academy. Liz then entered and walked towards the Academy hall building where the opening ceremony will be held. Inside the building, there are already a lot of new recruits who have been sitting on a chair that has been provided. Liz sat down next to a girl and greeted her.

“Can I sit here?” ask Liz.

“Of course,” replied the girl.

Liz then started chatting – talk with the girl so as not to get bored waiting for the opening ceremony at the beginning.

“Ahhh, so it seems. Every recruit who becomes number one will do a welcome speech,” said Liz.

“Yes. I heard that the best recruits are capable of injuring an instructor. This is the first time since the establishment of the Academy 80 years ago a participant can do it,” said the girl named Weila.

Moments later, a man using a military outfit began walking down the middle of the street where the recruit was sitting. He then headed towards the podium and looked towards the recruits.

“I am Headmaster Adalrich von Salian. I would like to congratulate the 250 recruits who successfully passed the selection of the Great Eagle Knight Academy,” Head Master Adalrich then said a few opening words.

“To close this welcome, I hope the best recruits will give a few words and advance to the podium,” said Headmaster Adalrich. “Elizabeth, the best recruits are please on their way to the podium.”

Liz then stood up and walked amid the gazes of the new recruits towards the podium.

“Beauty Once..”

“I heard he managed to injure the instructor in tes”

“He said, he is the best rated graduate in the history of academy”

Various whispers were heard by Liz. He arrived at the podium and looked at the new recruits.

Liz then gave a thank you and told her motivation to become a knight. The recruits heard his words were motivated, especially Leon who had not shifted his eyes to Liz.

“For that, I beg your cooperation so that we can develop to be stronger and graduate as a Knight of the pride of this Academy,” Liz said the word – closing words.

The recruits then began to clap. Liz then returned to her seat.

“Hey, you didn't say you were the best recruit that – people talk about,” said Weila.

“Hehehe... “ Liz just laughs shyly.

After the opening reception, they saw a demonstration of some of the techniques of the senior recruits. After the ceremony was over, the recruits just started leaving the hall towards their dormitories – each. The knight academy had two male dormitories and two princess dormitories. Each – room will contain 5 people except the 20 best recruit ratings. They have their own rooms as a privilege. Liz then looks at her room which has a better room than the one in her house with Luciel. Liz then starts tidying up her – items so that tomorrow she is ready to start her –-day day as a new recruit.
