Chapters 12. Mother-in-law's message

The atmosphere seemed silent as Riana got into the car. Not a word came out of their mouths until they got home. Riana helped Rio down and immediately pushed him into the house. While all the items they have bought, brought in by Mr. Karjo. What they bought looks like a lot. For the Rio family, maybe it doesn't matter. But for Riana, shopping like that was a waste.

They were sitting casually in the living room, staring at Bu Elena and Tiwi's groceries.

"Rio, tomorrow we decide to go home" said Elena's Bu.

"Mama's not at home. Mama will come again after ...," Ms. Elena stopped her speech. She looked at Riana with a cold look. That was according to Riana, who already felt that her mother-in-law hated her.

"We go in and rest first. Later let Bik Ijah take her to the room," Rio said stopping Riana's daydream."Bik Ijah!"

"Yes, Mr. Rio," Bik Ijah replied obediently.

Riana brought Rio into the room and helped him lie down onto the bed. Bik Ijah followed them while carrying all the items.

"Just put down the couch, Bik," said Riana.

"Bibik go first, Mr. Rio, Ms. Riana. Assalamualaikum" said Bik Ijah.

"Wa'alaikum greetings," Riana and Rio replied simultaneously.

After the departure of Bik Ijah, Riana immediately threw herself beside her husband. He was curious about the things his mother-in-law had bought. But she was ashamed of Rio. Later he was mistaken for a duitan eye.

"You don't have to think about what Mama said. I won't force you to accept me that quickly," Rio said as he looked at Riana agitated.

"I didn't think of that. I ...," replied Riana nervously.

"What are you saying. My mom would never hurt you. If you're curious, why don't you see it?" rio replied somewhat disappointed by Riana's remark.

"OKAY. Let's see what it is" Riana said.

Riana moved out of her bed feeling nervous. While Rio continued to pay attention to Riana. Riana opened the first paper bag. He took out the contents slowly for fear of any surprise. It contained a very elegant black evening dress. He stuck it on his slender body. Fit for size.

Riana placed the dress on the sofa. Then he opened the second paper bag. He took out the contents casually. But, he was aghast when he saw the contents. Lingerie is a very thin black color and many holes. Riana put the lingerie on her body and she laughed softly. Riana felt embarrassed as she glanced at Rio who kept looking at her.

Riana put the lingerie next to her evening dress. He tried to look at the other paper bag without taking out its contents. Riana widened her eyes looking at the contents. Everything is there, complete. From casual clothes to underwear.

God, is this some kind of want to change me? But I won't change for anything. Riana is Riana. Although I am a poor person, it will not be that easy to change, inner Riana.

Riana put everything back in its place. He regained his senses and fell asleep immediately because he felt tired of heart and mind. Rio did not dare to bother Riana anymore.

The next day, Bu Elena and Tiwi were already preparing to leave. Riana who saw that, immediately woke Rio up. Riana did not want Rio to feel sad for being late to deliver her mother.

Rio took his mother and sister to the dining room for breakfast.

"Ma, let's have breakfast first. I don't know when we can eat together again" said Rio.

"Don't talk like that. The sooner you have children, Mama and the whole big family, will come to this house and Mama promises to throw a party for the first granddaughter of the Hutama family" said Ms. Elena.

"Sister, don't be sad. Try to be hardened again so that it can be quickly granted. Not last night, Mama and your sister, have chosen good things for you. Especially for Madam Riana, it's good, isn't it?" tiwi asked while smiling at Riana.

"Good-natured. Good yes, good," replied Riana nervously plus embarrassed and awkwardly.

"Let's eat," Rio said to make Riana unashamed.

After eating, Bu Elena and Tiwi left. He approached Riana who was standing beside Rio.

"Riana, Rio is indeed disabled and paralyzed. You, as a wife, are still obliged to obey your husband. Please grant your mother's wish to have grandchildren. Mama does not know how, try to have a child from Rio. After you have a child from Rio, whatever you want, Mama will grant you," whispered Bu Elena as she hugged Riana.

Riana was unable to reply to Bu Elena's words. His lips were cold and his tongue was twisted.
