Chapter 28. The wounded heart

After hearing the husband's words, Riana was more silent. He tried to get closer to God and tried not to think too much about it. Riana was still hoping that it wasn't real. Or he just misunderstood like before.

That hope was still left in Riana's heart, until Fahry's arrival made everything clear in Riana's eyes. Back then, he wanted to serve warm tea to his sister-in-law who rarely visited their house. Riana heard the conversation of her husband and sister-in-law with a sad heart at the door.

"Mas Fahry, I can't bear to see Riana suffer" Rio said as they chatted in Rio's study.

"I think Riana is quite happy to be your wife. Maybe it's just your feelings. Better to talk carefully with Riana," advised Fahry while looking at Rio who looked hesitant and doubtful.

"How am I going to talk to him about it. I'm not ready to hear that bad thing yet" Rio said with a long sigh.

"You're prejudiced too soon. You've been married for two years, can't you understand your wife's heart? I could see Riana's sincerity. Maybe he doesn't love you yet. But I'm sure he's been trying to love you. Try to be patient" Fahry said again.

"I have enough reasons to divorce her" Rio said sadly.

Riana flinched in shock at Rio's words. What he once thought was just a misunderstanding, now it turns out to be a reality. Riana's legs felt limp and she was no longer able to think clearly.

Riana's footsteps felt heavy stepping. Look at her eyes empty. He placed a tray of two glasses of warm tea on the table. I don't know what he was thinking, he walked out of Rio's house aimlessly. What was in her heart, she did not want to be divorced by Rio.

The longer the longer the walk. His feet are getting tired too. But he didn't want to stop. She did not want to meet Rio and divorce him. He still wanted to live as his wife Rio despite being far away from him.

Suddenly, from the opposite direction, came a car that lost control. There was no time for Riana to avoid that collision. Fortunately, the driver still had time to bend the steering wheel, although still grazing Riana's body. Riana fell on the asphalt.

People immediately helped Riana and took her to the hospital. Riana immediately received treatment.

Meanwhile, Rio and Fahry were still continuing his chatter about Rio and Riana's staircase. Riana turned out to only listen until Rio wanted to tell her. Riana did not hear, the real reason Rio wanted to tell Riana.

"Mas, I want to pursue Riana normally. Like men in general. I want to remove the name five billion wife from Riana. I want people to know her as the woman I love. How happy and we won't have any more burdens" Rio explained. "Truly, it became a burden and an insult to my love for him."

"Yes, I agree. But you should also consider your wife's opinion. If he does not have a problem with that name, it is better not to talk about divorce. You've been lucky to have Riana, lest you regret like her ex-husband," Fahry continued to remind Rio.

"Mas Fahry is right. It should be more patient to face Riana. If he really wanted a divorce, my life would be ruined. I can't live without him" Rio said sadly.

"Mama is worried about you and Riana. My mom wants good news from you too. Tau himself, Mama already wants to have a grandchild. Lucky because you got married first. So, I'm free. Okay, I'll go home first" Fahry said with a big smile. She felt free from her mother and her mother would not force her to marry again.

"I also want to have children. Wait until Riana's condition improves. Sorry, no drinks. Maybe the aunt forgot," said Rio rather surprised because usually the aunt who served drinks for him and his brother.

Rio delivered Fahry to the front door past the guest table. Rio paused for a moment while looking at the tray containing two glasses of drinking water, lying just like that on the table.

"Try Mas Fahry look. Bik Ijah can forget like gini. Want to give her a drink until her guests already want to go home even in staying here," Rio muttered with a smile.

"Bik Ijah, Mas Fahry wants to go home," Rio shouted as he looked towards the kitchen.

"Udah, don't yell" Fahry said as he patted Rio on the shoulder.

Not long after, Bik Ijah came smiling. But when he saw the tray filled with drinks on the table, Bik Ijah was very shocked.

"Why is this drink on this table?" ask Bik Ijah to himself.

"Why, Bik, didn't Bik Ijah himself put it here?" rio asked with a smile. Rio and Fahry looked at each other. They want to tease Bik Ijah.

"Not Aunt, Mr. Rio, Mr. Fahry. It was Bu Riana who wanted to deliver this drink to Mr. Rio's room. So bibik wonder, kok is still here," replied Bik Ijah curious. "Then where's Miss Riana?"

"What does Bibik really say? Then where is Riana now?" rio asked in panic.

"Rio, don't panic just yet. Just look, maybe he's in the room" Fahry replied trying to calm Rio down.

Rio rushed towards his room. He looked to all corners of the room and to the bathroom. Rio grew even more panicked when he did not find his wife in his room. He rushed out and shouted to Riana.

"Riana, where are you? Rianna ...!" rio shouted in panic and he ran from one room to another.

Fahry and Bik Ijah help find Riana's whereabouts. However, Riana was not found anywhere in this house. They look panicked.

"What, lest Riana be kidnapped?" rio asked as he looked at Fahry.

"Who dares to kidnap Riana at your house. Or maybe, he heard what we were talking about earlier," Fahry said returning Rio's gaze.

"Where might he hear. Even if she heard, she should have asked me, instead of leaving the house," Rio replied while trying to calm down.

"That's it, we find him first. If you've met, we can ask what happened" said Fahry. "We'll see the CCTV in this housing complex first."

"Buk Ijah, please take care of the house. Who knows Riana's coming home. If he comes home, just say I go out for a while and call me immediately," Rio said, who was greeted with a nod by Bik Ijah.

Rio and Fahry rushed to the security guard post of the housing complex to see the CCTV. Rio was hoping, would be able to find out the whereabouts of Riana.
