Chapter 29. Disappeared

Rio and Fahry looked at each other, as they saw Riana walking towards the exit of the compound with a blank look. Getting further and Riana completely exited the complex area.

Rio panicked and rushed to invite Fahry to immediately catch up with Riana. It looks like it was just 15 minutes ago. It was not too late for them to chase after Riana.

Unfortunately, Rio and Fahry were late. The accident happened before they met Riana. But the traces of blood still appear to be soaking the road. Rio was getting more panicked seeing that. He got out of his car and asked one of the shopkeepers across the street.

"I'm sorry, was there a woman who had an accident in this place?" rio asked in panic.

"really. Poor thing, it's the driver's negligence" replied the store owner.

"Then, where are you taking it?" ask Rio again.

"To Makita hospital. Just check there" replied the store owner.

"Thank you, sir. Come on Mas," Rio's already impatient to find out who the woman who had the accident was.

Rio and Fahry rushed towards Medita hospital. When he arrived, Rio was already directly descending towards the IGD. He met one of the doctors there.

"Doc, did any female patients enter IGD due to this afternoon's accident?" fahry asked seriously.

"There is, but he is now undergoing surgery. The condition is very severe and there is almost no hope of life anymore" the Doctor replied with a heavy sigh. "You have to prepare yourself for the worst."

"Mas Fahry, let's go there!" rio was very panicked.

"Rio, you don't panic. Be careful," Fahry said as he watched Rio walk hastily and unfocused on the road. Almost hit someone else.

Rio walked quickly towards the operating room. There were already a few people waiting there. However, Rio did not know them at all. They looked sad and some women were crying.

Although Rio was shocked, but Rio imagined that right now, Riana's condition is not good. Fahry tried to calm down the restless-looking Rio. Turn back to make your head dizzy.

After a few moments of waiting, the operation was completed. One of the doctors came out to report the patient's condition in the operating room. Everyone has gathered including Rio and Fahry.

Everyone was waiting for the results of the operation impatiently.

"We're sorry. We've tried to do our best. But it is still God who determines" said the doctor slowly.

"What do doctors mean? In any case, you must save my wife," asked Rio who made the others startled.

"What, tell me if the doctor is lying. There's no way he's just leaving me" Rio said, struck by the reality.

"Rio, calm yourself. Maybe all this is fate. You are patient," said Fahry while looking at Rio and invite him a bit away from others who also want to know the condition of the patient.

Fahry was suspicious to see them. But he didn't want to make a fuss. They had to wait until the corpse came out of the operating room and see if it was Riana or not.

Suddenly a man approached Rio and directly hit him hard. Rio fell down and his lips were injured from the blow. Rio was also stirred with emotion. He returned the man's blow, so there was a commotion.

Fahry and some of the men who were there tried to break up. Fahry pulled Rio's body to the seat while the man's family did the same.

"Why did you hit my sister, what's her fault?" ask Fahry to the man.

"He dared to call my wife his wife. My wife is a loyal woman, there is no way she has two husbands" the man replied emotionally.

"There must be a misunderstanding. Is the woman in the operating room your wife, what's her name?" fahry asked trying to find out.

"Name Reni. He just had an accident" replied the other man.

"Rio, so we got the wrong guy. But let's be more sure whether it's Riana or not, we wait until the patient is taken out" said Fahry calm because if the patient is not Riana, if it's true, then there is still hope if Riana is still alive and safe.

Not long after, two sisters took the patient out. His entire body was covered in a white cloth. Rio rushed to run towards the patient followed by the others. Rio immediately opened the cover of his face, and Rio was startled, he was not Riana. Rio took a few steps back and immediately apologized to the family especially the husband of the deceased patient.

"Mas, should I be happy because she's not Riana. Or should I be sad, because we can't find Riana" Rio said after his heart calmed down somewhat.

"Don't despair, Rio. We're going to search all over the hospitals in this city" Fahry said casually.

They restarted the search all over the corner of the medita hospital. But they did not find Riana. They do not despair, they look for Riana to several other hospitals and the results are still nil.

The final solution, Rio decided to report Riana's disappearance to the police. In addition, Rio also paid the detective to look for the whereabouts of riana. Riana disappeared like the earth swallowed.

One week had passed, since Riana's departure from Rio's house. Rio could only blame himself because he couldn't protect Riana. He can't be a good husband to Riana. Rio felt like a failure as a husband.

Until one day, a lawyer came to Rio. The lawyer, named Antonio, got a power of attorney from Riana to file for divorce. The lawsuit that has been registered in the religious court is real, not kidding.

Rio felt shock and anger towards Antonio.
