Chapter 31. Make an effort

Riana decided to make a deal with Anwar, related to her treatment for several months in this hospital. Surely, the costs incurred by Anwar are not small. And Riana would not be able to possibly replace it.

"Mas Anwar, I'm sorry. Whatever happens to me now is the result of your past actions. Five billion is not a little money. Don't you feel guilty for what you did?" riana asked trying to hunch a little. He's still not well, and he still needs money for his hospital fees.

"Riana, you mean, you want a share of the money?" anwar asked in shock.

"Can say that. If calculated, the money would have grown by now. Think of it as compensation for what I experienced. You can see what my life is like now" Riana replied.

"Compensation, you'll even get everything I have, as long as you're willing to refer back to me. We'll both enjoy everything I've got" Anwar said proudly.

"Sorry, Mas. Right now, I want to be free of you all selfish men. I just want to live with my son without you guys" Riana said sadly.

Anwar finally let Riana choose her own life path. As long as he was not with Rio, Anwar's heart was already quite relieved. Anwar does not want to hurt Riana again after what he did, making Riana a widow.

As compensation, Anwar will pay all the hospital fees as long as Riana is treated and will give Riana money as a fee for her son. Riana refused the money. Riana just wants to, live a normal life back after getting divorced from Rio. Riana did not want to get involved with Anwar anymore.

Anwar keeps hiding what happened to Riana while Riana is in a coma. Anwar hopes that everything will be fine so that Riana does not hate him. As time goes by, Anwar hopes to get Riana's heart back.

After Riana is allowed to go home, Riana asks Anwar to take her back to Indonesia. Not wanting to go back to Rio's house or to Anwar's house. Riana wants to start a new life in her hometown, in a small town away from the noise of the city.

Since then, Riana has been living together with her little son, named Ryan. They live as they are and are simple. Until, Riana met her mother's sister who turned out to have been looking for the existence of Riana.

Riana finally went with her Tantenya to the house of her mother's extended family. Apparently, his mother was the son of people. However, her mother ran away with her father because her parents and extended family did not agree to get married.

Although his mother had left his family, but his extended family still left a part for his mother. Aunt Mega was very nice to him. So long looking for the whereabouts of Riana and her mother tirelessly.

Getting a legacy that is not small, makes Riana like getting the lottery. He and his son eventually decide to move in following his Tantenya.

Riana felt, God is kind to her because she has found her mother's extended family. That way, Riana and Ryan can escape from Anwar completely.

Riana started a new life by opening a small business. Opening a simple restaurant. The business that was once his dream was to marry Anwar first.

Actually while getting married to Rio, Riana wanted to make a restaurant, but Riana did not want to be too busy so she could not take care of Rio's needs well. Hence he preferred to open a cake shop because he only worked as a supervisor only.

While taking care of Ryan who is still 2 years old, Riana's business began to develop. The cuisine he made, he loved the people. Even those from outside the area also tried to taste after hearing the story by word of mouth.

As she gets busier, Riana leaves Ryan to a daycare service. Besides Ryan being able to play with his peers, there are caregivers who will take good care of him.

Riana will take her child to the restaurant, only after the stall closes will the peacock go home. Because that afternoon, Riana had not made any more dishes. Just stay to spend the food stock that Riana had made a few hours before.

That afternoon, Riana picks up Ryan from daycare. Everything looks as usual. Ryan seemed a little quiet. Usually Ryan will smile more and full of joy every time Riana comes.

At first Riana did not suspect because she thought Ryan was tired of playing. However, Ryan's tight embrace and reluctance to let go, made Riana a little suspicious. Riana did not want anything to happen to her son.

"Darling, what's up. This is mom coming. Ryan's gonna stop by the park first?" ask Riana curiously.

His little son did not answer. He simply shook his head while continuing to hide his face on his mother's chest.

"Darling, tell mom, did anyone bully you? If anything, let the mother go forward and be the sailor moon. I will beat up all who have dared to make the mother's child sad," said Riana acting like a child hero.

"Mama, I want papa" Ryan replied in tears.

Riana was like being stabbed by a dagger hearing her son's words. Papa, how will he be able to give her papa, if now she's a widow?

"Ryan baby, what are you saying? Are you not enough mama? Mama can be a papa too," replied Riana nervously.

"Mama, all of Ryan's friends have Papa. But, why is it that only Ryan doesn't have a papa?" ask Ryan again. Riana's heart was getting sad.

Riana's confused. What kind of answer should Riana give, so that Ryan is not sad anymore.

"Darling, papa Ryan is going into space. Papa wants to get a star for Ryan. Hence, papa has not been able to go home yet," replied Riana making up the story.

It occurred to me to make up the story if my father had died. But Riana was afraid that her words would become a prayer. Even if they have separated, Riana wants Rio to stay alive and happy.

"So, papa's definitely going home, right?" asked Ryan plainly.

"Why did Ryan want me so badly, did something happen while Ryan was in this daycare?" inner Riana

"Of course, hon. Pray, I hope you can bring a star to Ryan soon. Let papa can come home soon," said Riana if hugging Ryan back.

Riana looked sad, seeing her son grow up without the affection of a father. During this time, Riana assumed that she would be able to be a mother and father figure at once for Ryan. But apparently, he still can not replace the father figure in Ryan's heart. Should he be honest with Ryan, if his dad's in town?
