Chapter 33. Meet Papa

Anwar fled in his car. He felt confused and panicked when he saw Santi's blood. But he has no regrets at all. Anwar felt that it was a punishment for Santi. The one who took all his possessions.

Anwar stopped at a bar. He wanted to relax for a moment after experiencing the reality that had left him devastated. He ordered a drink because he wanted to forget about today's incident. Anwar wants everything to come back to him, when he wakes up.

While drinking, Anwar reminisced about the past. Nothing is eternal in this world. It turned out that the life choice he chose was a fatal mistake.

A righteous wife is our most precious possession. More valuable than anything. It cannot even be exchanged for money or treasure of any size.

Anwar now realized, if only this regret was able to restore his life in the past, he would be very happy. Unfortunately, he has nothing left. His wife is missing, even the treasure is gone.

Two policemen came and arrested him on Santi's report. Anwar was charged with abuse that resulted in the death of the baby in Santi's womb.

"Good night. We are from the police, please come with us" said one of the police.

"I have nothing to do with the police. You go!" anwar was drunk.

"This is your arrest warrant. We hope you are cooperative" said another.

Anwar began to panic, he rushed to escape. But quickly the two policemen managed to catch Anwar. The court sentenced Anwar to 4 years in prison.

That regret is no longer useful.

Five years later.

Rio was on a business trip to a small town. He wanted to buy a hotel in the city. He came with Yuda. Her mood was still as cold as it was five years ago, when she and Riana divorced.

Rio's face, looks different as he has undergone surgery to remove the scar on his face. Although Rio looked cold, but the religious aura was very visible on him. He has changed a lot.

"Yuda, let's take a short walk around the hotel. I want to see and observe the prospect of the hotel in front of him" Rio said as he looked out his slightly open car window.

"Well, Mr. Rio," Yuda replied briefly.

Yuda did not want to talk much so as not to make his Boss' mood bad. Ever since Rio decided to stop looking for Riana, Susana Rio's heart was very fickle.

Rio surrendered after Anwar sent photos of Anwar and Riana's closeness while in Singapore. Anwar says that he and Riana have been reunited. Anwar asks Rio to accept sincerely Riana's decision to marry Anwar again.

Rio was heartbroken and almost desperate. But, when she found the item Riana left for her, the sarong, the peci and the prayer mat, Rio promised to be what Riana wanted while living with her.

If someday, they meet, Rio will be able to stand tall in front of Riana. He could be the man Riana expected. It is possible, Riana hopes that, even if they are not together anymore, Rio can become a better man.

Suddenly, Yuda braked his car suddenly to make Rio daydream stop.

"Yuda, what's wrong?" rio asked in shock.

"It seems, we bumped into a child," Yuda replied frantically who immediately came out followed Rio.

Sure enough, they hit a boy who was now fainted. Rio also panicked and immediately picked up the boy. Rio took her in the car and asked Yuda, to immediately take her to the nearest hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, the little boy who turns out to be Ryan, Riana's son, immediately gets treatment. Rio and Yuda waited anxiously. They kept praying, so Ryan wouldn't take things seriously.

"How's he doing, Doc?" rio asked in panic.

"Mother just calm down. My son only had a small impact when he fell. He was just in shock. Later can also be taken home immediately," replied the doctor calmly.

"Alhamdulillah. Thank you, Doc," Rio said with a happy heart. His heart was calm when he found out that Ryan was fine.

"Where's next?" ask Yuda worriedly.

"We'll just take her home. We will apologize to his parents," Rio replied with a long sigh.

Yuda immediately took care of the maintenance costs because after realizing later, Ryan was allowed to go home. Rio accompanied Ryan and a few minutes later, Ryan was already unconscious. Rio immediately called the doctor and the doctor stated that Ryan was ready to go home.

"Father," murmured Ryan softly.

"Who are you calling, son?" rio asked in shock.

"Papa. I want to have a father like Uncle" replied Ryan stammeringly.

"Are you really not having a father?" ask Rio again.

"Ryan only has Mama. Can I call Uncle, Papa?"ryan was sad.

"Alright, you can call Papa. Come on Uncle drive home," Rio replied with a smile.

Rio carried Ryan's body and took him in the car that Yuda had prepared. They want to take Ryan home. But Ryan didn't know the way home.

Rio and Yuda finally decide to take Ryan towards the hotel. They'll do their job first before looking for Ryan's address.

During the meeting with the hotel management, Ryan kept following Rio and sat on his lap. Although everyone looked at her question mark, but no one dared to ask Rio directly.

Ryan looked tired and finally he fell asleep on Rio's lap. Rio led Ryan towards one of the hotel rooms prepared for him. Rio wished Ryan could sleep comfortably. After that, Rio continued his work.

After work, Rio rushed to take a bath and rested for a while. Rio was saddened to see Ryan continue to call him papa, just because he has no father.

He did not know that not all men could be called Papa, the inner Rio.

Rio was anxious to wake Ryan up because since this afternoon Ryan had not eaten anything. But Rio paused his intention, after seeing Ryan sleeping soundly.

Two hours later, Ryan woke up and he was very happy when he found Rio sleeping next to him.

"Father," murmured Ryan softly. She was afraid of waking Rio up. They'll take him away to find his mother.

Suddenly, Ryan thought of getting Papa and Mama together. That way he'll have a full-fledged parent. However, he was still confused as to what he would do next. His mother seems to hate his father, but sometimes, Ryan sees his mother crying alone and pretending that there is nothing.

Sure, mama still loves papa, inner Ryan.
