The Gema Shahadah Aisyah
God is Good

Up ahead Hamzah had opened the study that afternoon. Unlike usual, Hamzah asked Umar to come to discuss how great God's mercy is to the whole people. The existence of the two of them initially surprised the worshippers. Then they will use the opportunity to ask as many questions as possible.

Atalie and her two friends sat among other worshippers. Khanza wanted to ask why Atalie changed her headscarf again, but she already said the pink hijab matched her outfit today. But since the study had already begun, Khanza had abandoned his intentions. The main function of the hijab is to cover the head no matter what the color.

"In the hadith of Ahmad, when Allah ordains the decree of all beings, Allah writes in a book that is with Him above ‘Arsy, that is, indeed My mercy overcomes My wrath." Hamzah's voice echoed throughout the mosque while the worshippers heard it intently and Atalie was no exception, but she looked down until her face was nowhere to be seen.

"Looky right?" Ayana elbowed Atalie while whispering.

Atalie turned the eyeball back to Ayana, just started Ayana was already staring at the good looks of the Ustadz.

Atalie picked up the pen and wrote two words in her hand. Ayana glared in disbelief but she delayed to make a fuss with Atalie because they were inside the mosque.

According to Atalie, Hamzah like men in general, he could not say handsome. Of course the men beside Hamzah were more handsome, at least in Atalie's eyes. Atalie will not argue about the good looks of Umar or anyone else because he has his own views. What is the importance of talking about such a thing.

"If among us there are many sins to be ashamed to prostrate ourselves to God, we are among the losers, because even though our sins fill the heavens and the earth, god's forgiveness is so much more than that don't hesitate to return."

"When Ustadz Hamzah was my type, his skin was bright white." Ayana's not finished.

Atalie did not respond, brown skin like Umar more masculine and charming. If white is the benchmark, Felix also has snow-white skin but unfortunately Atalie is not interested. Anyway Atalie only likes Umar, ah stop Atalie, don't let that sentence out of your mouth.

"Our type is different." Atalie muttered softly almost inaudible but Ayana who was not serious listening to Hamzah's study, actually heard Atalie's speech.

"Your type is Koko-Koko?"

Atalie just shrugged reluctantly to answer a question she thought was too personal. Atalie has never talked about men with anyone including Ayana and Khanza. They have known each other for almost two years but Atalie rarely tells them anything personal. It was not that Atalie did not believe in the two friends, she was not used to telling something too personal.

"In the letter of Thoha verse 82 Allah says, And verily, I am Oft-Forgiving for those who repent, believe, do good deeds, then remain on the right path, man loves to sin, but God will always forgive." Now the voice of Umar was heard, the view circulated to all worshipers. Unintentionally Umar's view met with Atalie who was also looking at him and locked a split second. Then Umar looked in the other direction.

"Don't think that God is an angry Thing or that His emotions are fickle, not at all, maybe we ever think that if we sin, God will be angry, not at all, allah is the Al-Latif, which means the Most Soft, the Most Fine."

Atalie was stunned not by Umar but by what he said. Why is God so good?

"God is loving and compassionate, every time we call upon Him God will answer him immediately, what is My servant, what do you need this time?"

Atalie reflex rubbed her wet cheeks, she looked up slightly when the tears suddenly melted without her noticing. That's not a sad story why I'm crying?

The question sessions began, one by one the inquiring worshippers were answered by Hamzah and Umar alternately.

"Don't ask anything." Khanza held Atalie's hand preventing her from raising her hand because the last time she asked Atalie made the whole congregation laugh at her. Although according to Atalie is not funny but other pilgrims still laugh. Atalie asked purely because she wanted to know. But now that Atalie knew the genealogy of the family of Prophet Muhammad, she read a lot about it. So Atalie wouldn't embarrass herself in front of so many people.

One by one the worshippers left the mosque, Umar and Hamzah being the last two to leave.

"What's in Gus Umar's pocket?" Hamzah saw Umar's pocket bulging.

"Oh this," Umar felt his pocket, why should he put Atalie's hijab there. Because the hijab material is very thin, Umar so can put it in a bag. Umar wanted to reprimand Atalie for wearing such a thin headscarf but considering Atalie was not Muslim, he could not do so. Now Umar is confused as to how to return it to Atalie.

"It's a cloth." Umar continued after making Hamzah wait for his answer.

Atalie and two friends were on the terrace of the mosque. Atalie takes out one jar of her mama-made cake for Ayana and Khanza.

"Well, that looks good." Ayana can't wait to try the cake, "what's the name?"

"So much Aunt Renata made a cake." Khanza.

"You guys still here?" Hamzah stopped his steps at the door and saw three girls on the terrace of the mosque sitting in a circle.

"Eh Ustadz," Ayana immediately swallowed her cake that had not been perfectly chewed, she suddenly mistakenly saw Hamzah. "Ustadz will?" Ayana suddenly moved to throw a jar of cake at Hamzah and Umar who stood next to each other. "It's called cake—kue what Atalie, I forgot." Ayana looked towards Atalie.

"Almond Oatmeal Cookies." Atalie mentioned the word by word more clearly so that Ayana would not ask again.

Umar glanced at the cake, it seemed to taste good. Did Atalie make that cake? Umar was curious to taste it but unfortunately Ayana only offered the cake to Hamzah.

Ayana's manik sparkled as Hamza took one cake, without feeling he held his breath for a while waiting for Hamzah's comment about the cake that was not made. He was already like a competition participant waiting for the jury to judge his cuisine.

"Nob not Ustadz?"  Ayana finally asked as she impatiently waited.

"Son, thank you." Hamzah spread a smile, the man who was several years younger than Umar was indeed notoriously friendly at a cheap smile.

"Not cobain?" Atalie refuted the chin seeing Umar who had just been silent. Ayana and Khanza immediately threw a sharp gaze at Atalie, from that gaze they seemed to say, Atalie is not polite anyway call Mas had been like hanging out aja.

"I mean Ustadz Umar." Atalie hastily replicates, she is always confused to mention the nickname Umar. Different places, so the name is also different. Atalie wanted to have just one call so she wouldn't be confused.

"Please Ustadz." Ayana invited Umar to taste the cake in her hand.

"Make all of you." Atalie moved from her seat. "Make Ustadz Umar." "Zaidan Umar Kahfi."

Umar was stunned to hear Atalie mention his full name. His heart was racing along with a warm feeling that slowly infiltrated into his chest cavity. It was strange but Umar liked it.

"I'm going home first." Atalie glanced at Ayana and Khanza and nodded her head at Hamzah and Umar.

"It's Ustadz." Ayana gave a jar of cake in her hand to Umar. "we also paid, assalamualaikum." He took Khanza's hand after Atalie.

"Atalie." Khanza held Atalie's hand, who was about to enter the car. "His cake was given to Ustadz Umar all?"

"Tomorrow I'll bring you guys again."

"Tomorrow you to go to college?" Ask Ayana.

"Yes." Yeah."

"If it's not brought, I'm samperin to your house." Ayana pretends to threaten Atalie because she just ate one cake made by Renata.

"Samperin aja, Mama actually mengseneng if you go home." Atalie got into the car, she had to go home soon for afternoon worship. "Thank you for shopping today." Atalie waved at Ayana and Khanza.

Meanwhile, Umar sat on the terrace of the mosque to taste Atalie's cake. Hamzah went home first.

"Don't you know, he's good at making cakes." Umar murmured after spending the first bribe. He had never eaten such a cake before but Umar immediately responded.

Umar closed the jar and moved from there. He will share the cake with others at home.

"Atalie's Hijab?" Umar just remembered if he had not returned the hijab belonging to Atalie that he accidentally brought.
