The Gema Shahadah Aisyah

The Gema Shahadah Aisyah
Back to Home

After a month of living and learning many things in the boarding school Adz-Zaidan, today Aisyah decided to move. It was a month that Aisyah had gone through with no ease. The main reason was because Aisyah had to live without her parents. Many new things also that previously did not Aisyah know, especially cooking. Although it was difficult but Aisha was endowed with the love of God which was endlessly filling the entire space in her heart. The path is facilitated by Allah to explore Islam. The anxiety that had been haunting Aisyah instantly disappeared. Aisyah did not expect that she could calm down even without the luxury that she had been familiar with since childhood.

Another reason Aisyah steadied out of it, she heard Umar was going to propose to Hilya. Aisyah should not be sad even though she had to give up her love. He already has a greater love and will always side with him, a love that always pays attention to him and suffices him.

"You can stay here longer." Maryam heavily took off Aisyah because she was used to the presence of the girl. But Maryam also could not force Aisha to stay here.

"I will come to visit Ummi, thanks Ummi for giving me so much, I will never be able to reply."

"Where will you live?"

"I'm going home but if Papa and Mama haven't accepted me back yet, maybe I'll find a boarding place near campus."

"This boarding school is always open to you, Ayesha."

"Thank you Ummi, I'll study again and develop myself out there."

"Ummi can only wish you the best." Maryam embraces Aisyah, since the first time Ayesha came here, Maryam already likes Aisyah.

Aisyah refrained from crying, they could still meet but Aisyah was very heavy to leave this place. Here Aisyah is surrounded by good people who want to help and understand her ignorance of many things.

"I will always remember all Ummi's advice." And Umar of course.

"Come to study Ummi shubuh if you have time."

"Good Ummi." Aisyah had already cleaned up her things which were only a little because when she left first she was forbidden to bring anything. Most of the clothes he had at home also can not be used anymore because the model is less material. Now that Aisyah's appearance was much different, people could only see her hands and face.

Aisyah had said goodbye to everyone last night, she would always remember them as people who had their hard times.

"I'll drive you." Umar suddenly appeared when Aisha and Maryam came out of the room.

Aisyah simply nodded quietly without making a sound.

Umar took Aisyah's bag and placed it in the front seat while Aisyah sat in the back.

"I go first, assalamualaikum." Aisyah waved one more time at Maryam and Khawla who drove her to the front of the house.

The sound of car tires grinding pebbles in front of the house began to sound farther and then disappeared behind the high gate of the boarding school.

The atmosphere in the car turned awkward, Aisyah usually talked a lot while with Umar but this time she could not make a sound. Aisyah was afraid that tears would escape with her voice.

Every now and then Umar saw Aisyah from the upper spy, the girl who always made him smile and even laughed with her behavior was about to leave. Should Umar express his feelings now? Then how is his match with Hilya. Umar can hurt everyone, especially his brother. Hilya also seemed to be able to accept the match with full sincerity.

"I thought you'd stay longer." Umar broke the silence between them.

"I miss Papa and Mama." Aisyah's voice trembled, deep down she wanted to say that she was in love. Falling in love with Umar.

"But I can be more calm because you have learned many things, even can read the Qur'an."

"Thanks to the good lodge sisters, oh yes—I just found out that tattoos are haram."

"Yes." Yeah."

"You know I have a tattoo but you never talk about it as much as I do."

"Because you made that tattoo before you became a Muslim."

"I have to delete, right?"

"God is dear to His people, the tattoo is illegal because it causes pain when making it, if you think to remove it is too painful then you may let it go."

"I want to do what's best for God, what if I'm looked at one eye?"

Umar laughed, "God is not so."

Seeing Umar's laughter made Aisyah even sadder, she would never be able to see that laughter again. Soon Aisyah will also complete her master studies, they will not meet even on campus. However, Aisha did not have to worry about this because God had arranged everything.

"God looks at you completely."

Aisyah lowered her head not daring to meet with Umar even though through the rearview. It will only make it harder to leave. They're halfway through.

"I heard you were going to propose to Ning Hilya." Aisyah's voice was very slowly muffled by the sound of other vehicles.

"True, everything has been determined by Abah and Kyai Abizar including the date of his application."

Umar not have no right to refuse, it is a form of devotion to parents. They had raised and educated Umar so there was nothing Umar could do but serve his parents.

Aisyah intends to pretend strong and say hopefully they are happy but she can not. The sentence only stuck in his throat and made his neck even more suffocated.

"What's wrong?" Umar saw Aisyah holding her headscarf on her chin. "Which is it?" Understandably it is an old car that has not used AC so there is no cooling except from a window that is only opened a little.

"His safety is too tight." Aisyah.

"You can wear a hijab that doesn't need to wear a safety pin to be more comfortable."

"You said don't wear a thin hijab so I wear a thick hijab that makes me suck, now wear a safety pin too."

Umar chuckled again, only Aisha dared to speak with him.

"You can definitely find a comfortable hijab style for yourself."

After this Aisyah will look for or make a hijab that is syar'i at the same time comfortable to wear. Aisyah's ideals are not far from the fashion world.

Aisha gasped when Umar opened the car door for her. Inevitably Aisyah got down from the car carrying a small bag while Umar carried a bag of Aisyah clothes.

"Thank you take me, you can go home Gus, Mas, Ustadz." Aisyah spread a contagious smile on Umar.

"I'm waiting for you to come in."

Aisyah stepped hesitantly pressing the bell near the gate, she could have unlocked the gate and entered the house but she was not sure if they could still take it back.

"Papa may have gone to work, Daniel must have gone to school."

"Okay, if that's it." Umar walked into his car but he did not leave immediately because he had to make sure Aisyah entered the house safely.

Aisyah pressed the bell once again, a few moments later the gate opened and a security guard appeared who immediately recognized Aisyah.

"Bigg!" The security guard was a little surprised to see the appearance of Aisyah, it turns out that it is true news that is often rumored by ART in this house that Aisyah has changed beliefs. "Please Ci." He opened the gate wider, allowing Aisha to enter.

Aisyah's steps came to a halt when she found Jaya standing behind the gate.

"Ma,"

Jaya's gaze was sharp like a sword piercing right into Aisyah's heart. Jaya can paralyze anyone with that look.

"You dare to go home— with this appearance?"

"I'm still and will continue to be the son of Papa and Mama."

"You think we're expecting you?"

"Who do you expect?"

"Papa has Daniel, forget about the company, you can't get it."

"I'm fine as long as Papa and Mama forgive me."

"Don't dream." Jaya slightly pushed Aisyah with the back of her hand then immediately closed the gate.

Seeing that Umar immediately got out of the car and approached Aisyah. Aisyah's shoulders seemed to rise and fall rapidly, now she could not hold back her cries anymore. Her tears did not stop her cheeks.

"Sir Jaya!" Call Umar immediately bangs on the gate loudly hoping Jaya can hear him. Through the gap of the gate Umar can see Jaya turning over and walking towards them. "Sir Jaya, please listen to me."

As Umar hoped, Jaya opened the gate again.

"Why are you here?" Jaya frowned looking at Umar, she thought Aisyah came alone.

"Sorry sir, all this time Aisyah—I mean I Atalie live in the boarding house owned by my parents, please forgive Atalie, however Atalie is still the son of Pak Jaya."

"Why is he staying at your place Umar?"

"Atalie studied Islam there."

"Is it because you too Atalie decided to convert?"

"It's not Pa, it's entirely my decision." Sahut Atalie fast, he did not want Umar affected by the anger of Jaya.

"May Pak Jaya be pleased to respect Atalie's decision and accept it back, who else can accept it if not his own family?"

Jaya's gaze slowly warms, in fact she and Renata worry about Aisyah as long as the child leaves the house. Their anger has faded away eaten up time. No parent hates his or her child even if he or she has made the most fatal mistake in life.

"Come in, your mom's sick." Jaya took a step back to make room for Aisyah to enter.

"Mama's sick?" Aisyah was surprised to hear her mother was sick, all this time Daniel did not tell it. Aisyah immediately ran into the house, she even left her clothing bag outside.

"Let's talk." Jaya invites Umar in, he believes Umar has a big influence on the change of Aisyah.

They sit in the front garden chair, when the morning scenery there is able to refresh the eyes. Various types of ornamental plants are so well maintained plus a fish pond in the middle of the park just like in the back garden.

"Atalie's staying with your family?"

"True sir, it happens that my parents run an Islamic learning institution, there Atalie also studied with the students."

"Why would your family accept Atalie, Atalie never told you she was close to your family before."

"After becoming a Muslim, Atalie was part of us, she was our brother."

"Just because he's Muslim?"

"That's enough for us."

Jaya was not inexhaustible with the Umar family who could accept and accommodate Aisyah as easily as that. For a very simple reason Umar said that Aisha was part of them.

"Then now I have no reason not to accept Atalie back, she's the child we raised so attentively."

"I'm glad to hear it." Umar smiled widely as if the burden on his shoulder had been released instantly.

"I'm relieved that Atalie stayed with you for a month." Jaya knew exactly if Umar was a good man, the main reason Jaya liked Umar was because Umar was good at Mandarin. Simple enough reason for Jaya.
