The Gema Shahadah Aisyah
The Wind that Takes Umar

Before finishing the cake in his mouth, Umar rushed after Atalie to return the hijab he had accidentally brought earlier. Umar felt strange about himself, why he had to be upset when Atalie told him why he had participated in the study. Isn't that Atalie's right to study whatever the reason. Umar should not be upset but he could not control his own emotions. Just this time Umar felt the strangeness.

Umar is late because Atalie's car is no longer visible on crowded streets. Umar guessed that Atalie's house was not far from the mosque. It's just that maybe the children of rich people are used to carrying cars even though the distance is close.

Umar circled an elite residential area that might be one of the lined luxury homes that Atalie lived in. Although the possibility of Umar finding Atalie's house is very small. In contrast to Atalie who immediately found Umar's residence at that time. Thanks to the address Umar wrote in his book.

The houses in the complex have luxurious buildings with spacious courtyards and high fences. They must have spent billions of dollars to build a dwelling that is more worthy of being called a palace.

As the sun tilted further to the west side, Umar reduced his motor speed. The area is quite quiet so it is comfortable for an afternoon walk while enjoying the scenery. The birds are flying back to the fight. The breeze shook the palm trees along the complex road. As well as the aroma of the cake that might come from one of the houses and stop to the nose of Umar. Umar was not worried because he also had a cake given by Atalie in his bag. Umar involuntarily smiled as he recalled Atalie mentioning his full name earlier. I don't know why that sounds so sweet. Umar did not know how a sentence could be said to be sweet, before he only knew something sweet was only sugar or honey. The words Atalie says are almost the same as the sweetness of sugar, or the sweet Atalie.

"Astaghfirullah, what am I thinking." Umar shook his head strongly aware of his own stupidity. "It's like Daniel." Umar saw someone like Daniel from behind. The more the bike approached, Umar realized that not just like the guy was Daniel. The search for Umar finally found a bright spot, he did not need to circle the complex with ignorance.

"Daniel!" Call Umar.

"Eh, is it Umar?" Daniel smiled broadly at Umar. He was jogging in the afternoon around the complex because this morning did not have time to do it.

"Yes, what a coincidence that we met here, I want to return Atalie's hijab, please leave it to your brother."

"Hijab?" Daniel's forehead is wrinkled, since when did Atalie have the hijab. Ah Daniel remembers Atalie once showing a photo of her brother wearing a long outfit and hijab.

"Yes, I was unintentionally laughing." Umar thrust Atalie's pink headscarf at Daniel.

"Mas Umar will not stop by my house and return the hijab itself to Atalie."

Umar went awry, why he had to give the hijab himself when Daniel could bring it. Umar did not want to meet Atalie again, today it was enough that Umar was made dazed.

"I'm also tired of going around the complex, Mas want to boncengin me to the house." Daniel rolled his eyes trying to seduce Umar, his attitude as if they had known each other for a long time when this was only the second time Daniel met Umar. "Not far, six houses away from here."

"All right then." Umar could not resist the request considering Daniel had helped her deliver the cake to the boarding school some time ago.

"Mas Umar has known Atalie for a long time?"

"No, we're not friends either." Umar doesn't want Daniel to misunderstand his relationship with Atalie.

The six houses that Daniel said were not as close as Umar thought because the houses were spacious, probably equal to the neighborhood of one Adz-Zaidan boarding school or wider than that.

"I think my brother has a crush on Mas Umar deh."

Umar stopped the motor suddenly heard Daniel's statement. He even coughed a few times while his head was buzzing.

Daniel was shocked that Umar stopped suddenly.

"What are you talking about?" Umar turned his head to look at Daniel.

Daniel was silent for a while while while Umar could not wait for an answer. One second two seconds three seconds, silence.

But instead of the answer, Daniel just laughed to make Umar confused.

"I'm just kidding, don't think about it." Daniel shook his hand, and suddenly he felt guilty for telling Umar. Especially after seeing the expression of Umar who looked unhappy. Daniel is concerned for Atalie having to experience one-sided love. Daniel doesn't want his brother to be hurt later.

"Where are you from?"

Atalie had just set foot on the floor of the house but she had already gotten such questions from her mama. Atalie's body stiffened, did he not say that he went to the Mall with Ayana and Khanza. What did the question mean, Atalie's feelings were so bad.

"From the Mall, I told Mama." Atalie stammered a little, she was not a person who was good at lying.

"Look at you coming out of the mosque." Renata accidentally sees Atalie coming out of the mosque when she goes to her friend's house—Veve earlier. Atalie had never lied before, which was why Renata was surprised to learn that Atalie had lied to her. It's not like Atalie usually is.

A thread of sweat drenched Atalie's forehead, he was caught red-handed and couldn't lie. If caught, Atalie will let Renata down, she doesn't want that to happen. Atalie always wanted to do her best for her dad and mom. But Atalie also did not want to lie to herself that she felt comfortable sitting in the mosque listening to the study.

"That's why Mama always said don't hang out too often with Ayana and Khanza, Mama never forbid you to be friends with anyone but you should know Atalie's limits."

"Sorry Ma." Atalie lowered her head, fully aware that she was wrong. "It's not their fault." Atalie can't blame Ayana and Khanza. Actually Atalie could have rejected their invitation but he did not do it. Atalie left because she wanted to.

Renata went over to Atalie, "how many times have you been there?" He noticed Atalie's frightened face.

Atalie refused to count it even though she actually remembered exactly how many times she had gone to the mosque to study. Even Atalie remembered the first time he participated in the study, when Umar discussed about loving God.

"It's not like it's the first time you're there."

Atalie nodded faintly, she clasped her bag firmly afraid to imagine what would happen next.

"That's why you have some long clothes that aren't your style." Renata remembers when he discovered Atalie's long black robe.

"That would be Atalie's style."

"You mean?" Renata frowned.

"You likey?"

"It covered the scar on Atalie's leg."

"OK, Mama will not forbid you to wear anything but do not get out of the corridor that Mama and Papa have set for you since birth, and that's the last time Mama saw you there, don't let Papa know this."

"Yes Ma." Atalie nodded, she was relieved because this time Renata forgave her.

"What can Papa not know?"

Atalie's head suddenly dizzy hearing his papa's voice from behind, he was about to turn his head but his neck felt stiff. Even now Atalie's hands were wet from cold sweat.

"It's nothing Pa." Renata codes Atalie to leave.

Atalie immediately left from there before her papa asked again. Atalie is like a thief who was caught red-handed but strangely he was thinking of taking part in the study again. Though he survived his papa today was something extraordinary.

Atalie threw her body onto the bed, how she went to the mosque without being discovered. He envies Ayana and Khanza because they do not need to hide when their purpose is not purely to learn but all of them want to see ustadz who he said handsome.

"There is no need to hide because they are Muslims." Atalie changed the sideways position facing the almost full bookshelf, soon she had to buy a new shelf or move books that she did not want to read.

Atalie's uppermost shelf lays out her collection of recently read history books. Jemari Atalie felt every book lined up on the shelf, this was her way of healing herself from the chaos of her mind. Usually it always works but lately Atalie is always on edge. Only when in the mosque Atalie feel calm. According to Atalie, it was just an ordinary building.

Atalie had finished reading the history of the prophet Muhammad, now he kept a lot of knowledge in his head. Unfortunately it can only settle inside the brain without Atalie being able to take advantage.

Atalie replaced her long skirt and shirt with a home shirt, over-the-knee shorts and a black tank top. He can't wait to unpack his groceries after a short shower.

"Atalie." Renata's voice sounded from outside the room.

"Yes Ma?" Atalie stepped in to open the door for her mama.

"Where's your car key." Renata looked up at Atalie.

"What's Ma doing?"

"Mama just wants mastiin if you don't go to weird places anymore." Renata could not believe that Atalie would not go to the mosque again.

"That's not Ma's weird place." Atalie rectifies her mama's speech, just like Daniel, Renata also says it's a strange place.

"Mama's the place you shouldn't go."

"Should you give me a car key?" Atalie pursed her lips put on a pitying face seducing Renata.

"should."

"And Mama and Papa said I could take the car after 17 years, that's your promise."

"Only if you can be sure not to go there again, now give me your car keys first."

Atalie grabs the keys to the car hanging near the door, and the car is not the only vehicle that can take Atalie to the mosque. Even Atalie can walk there because it is not far from home.

"But tomorrow I have to go to Ma's college."

"Start with Papa." Renata held up Atalie's car keys as it passed from there.

Atalie can only resign when Renata brings his car keys.

Atalie had just closed the door and picked up a towel to take a bath. He had to refresh his mind with cold water. But the knock on the door sounded again.

"Why Ma?" Atalie saw her mother reappear from behind the door.

"There's something you're waiting for in front of."

"Who?"

"Your lecturer said."

Atalie frowned, she already had an appointment with her lecturer tomorrow at the campus instead of at home today. Why is the lecturer suddenly here.

"Which lecturer?"

"Lecturer Umar."

Atalie turns her back, lecturer Umar? There was no more lecturer named Umar at Atalie's campus except for the man who the last few months filled Atalie's mind. Umar introduced Atalie to Aisyah. Is that Umar? Atalie was suddenly upset when she did nothing wrong.

"But Ma, I'll change first." Atalie closed the door and threw her towel in any direction.
