The Mystery Red Umbrella

The Mystery Red Umbrella
The Agent, Anna Baker

The driver who hit the victim to death has been brought in for questioning. The driver who did not know why the victim suddenly appeared seemed confused when asked by a police officer. The answer he gave was unacceptable to the officer so a table shake he got.

"Just answer me, are you drunk or on drugs?!" ask the police while shouting.

"No, I don't drink and I'm not an addict either" the driver hoped the policeman would believe him and not arrest him because he had a family waiting for him at home.

"No need to cheat!" yell at the police again.

"I really accidentally hit him" the poor driver looked down and looked resigned.

The officer wanted to ask again but his intention came to a halt as two agents entered the room. The woman placed the map she was carrying on the table, while the man approached the police who were interrogating the truck driver.

"The rest leave it to us" the agent said, patting the officer on the shoulder.

The officer nodded and walked out of the room leaving the two agents to interrogate the truck driver. Indeed, the case is like a collision case in general but the presence of a red umbrella that is always on the side of the victim makes the agent Anna Baker want to explore the case further because she felt, she felt, she was, the cases he's dealing with are interrelated.

The driver was getting scared, he did not want to go to jail because of it even though he had hit the victim to death.

"Mam, I really don't see it. The woman suddenly appeared in front of my eyes so I couldn't avoid it!" said the driver.

"There's no need to be confused, do you think that woman could appear suddenly like a ghost?" said the male agent.

"Barrow, let me talk to him" Anna asked.

Twenty-nine-year-old Anna Baker has been an agent for six years dealing with complicated cases but this time she is faced with a serial case that killed many young women. He forcefully comes to interrogate the driver in person and Barrow is assigned to accompany him.

"Alright, somehow you were so determined to interrogate him that I wanted to know," the male agent he called Barrow pulled up a chair and sat down in front of the driver.

"Thank you for the cooperation," Anna also pulled up a chair to sit down.

"Now I want to hear, what's really going on? Didn't you see that woman crossing the street?" ask Anna to the driver.

"Mam, I could have sworn that the woman appeared all of a sudden" the driver said.

"Please explain in detail" Anna said.

"I took my car as usual because it was green and the street crossing was red but she wasn't on the road before I started. Somehow, I don't know either. Suddenly the woman appeared before my eyes. He was like screaming and scared, the umbrella he was carrying was also trying to throw him. I was shocked and could not avoid it anymore so without me wanting the car I was carrying hit the woman" explained the driver, looking down.

"Didn't you see anyone else next to that woman?" ask Anna.

"Nothing, Mama. It was just that woman who suddenly appeared."

"Alright, Anna. It's just an excuse to avoid being accused" Barrow said.

"Whatever the reason, we should know Barrow. What if the explanation he gave gives us clues to the case we're working on."

"Where is it, Anna. It's a collision case whereas the case we're dealing with is a serial murder" Barrow said.

Anna Baker was silent, it sounded strange and absurd but she had a premonition that the murder was related and related.

"Have something to do or not, we'll see, Barrow" Anna said.

"Alright, continue!" Barrow sighed. I don't know what Anna was thinking, she felt that what she was doing right now was just a waste.

"Thank you, now answer me. Is there anyone else besides that woman?" ask Anna again to the driver.

"Nothing, only that woman looks scared like she's running away from something" the driver replied.

Anna Baker looked at the driver, took out a few photos and placed them in front of the driver.

"Look, why do I say that these cases are interrelated" the photos are compiled one by one showing several cases of women who also victimized young women.

"They all died horribly, this one died hanging on top of a tree in the forest," Anna showed the photo she meant, "And this one was found in the sewers and you could see it all" he said.

"Then what does this have to do with me, Mom?" ask the driver.

"Correct?" Barrow moved from his seat to look at the photos Anna was referring to. Sure enough, in each photo there is a red umbrella. Strange, he just realized that.

"Did you just realize it? Last night I also saw the umbrella not far from the scene."

"Damn it, so you saw that umbrella when I came to you?" ask Barrow to know.

"No, I saw a mysterious woman in a red dress at the scene."

"Don't make it up, there's no woman like the one you mentioned even we've seen cctv but there's no woman like that!" said Barrow.

What truck drivers say is very different from cctv footage. The victim was seen crossing the street and the truck passed by and suddenly hit him. The driver could not be released and was considered the prime suspect.

"I saw it, Barrow.  Didn't you see it?"

"No, Anna. I don't see any red umbrellas I mean, let alone that woman."

"Any," said Anna softly. He had actually seen the mysterious and monstrous woman but why was his partner unaware of her existence? Somehow it got more complicated, it felt like I really wanted to be on the side of the victim before the victim died so that she would know what was going on.

"How, Mam. Am I going to be released? I really didn't want to hit him but it was that woman who showed up all of a sudden" said the driver.

"I'm sorry, I'm not the one who decided on your case. I came just to interrogate you but you don't have to worry, the cctv footage is being studied by the authorities" Anna said as she tidied up the photos on the table.

"What, I'm totally innocent. Release me now that my family is waiting at home!" yelled the driver.

Anna couldn't do anything because she didn't have any evidence to free the truck driver, so hopefully the cctv footage can provide evidence that the driver is innocent. It was a very strange incident but he was sure that everything that happened had something to do with the mysterious woman carrying the red umbrella that he saw at the scene but what made him not understand was, why didn't Barrow see the woman and why on the cctv tape was there no whereabouts of the mysterious woman?

Somehow the case is getting more complicated plus the information that the truck driver gave is very unreasonable. Lest the driver was sleepy so he thought the victim had suddenly appeared as indicated by the cctv. Although he wanted to deny but what happened was difficult to express with logic and he was also sure if he did not see the mysterious figure wrongly.

Anna and Barrow walked out of the place without getting any satisfactory results.

"I told you, you won't get anything" Barrow said.

Anna sighed heavily, right what Barrow said. He thought the driver could give him a clue but he didn't get anything. Does the mysterious woman he saw really not exist?

"From the dizziness, what if it's a date in my room?" bring Barrow.

"Ck, instead of going on a date in your smelly room, I'd rather eat" Anna said.

"All right, let's go eat!"

Anna made no sound, thinking of the mysterious woman she saw. Barrow takes his car a little fast so they can quickly arrive at the restaurant but a woman who is about to board a bus catches Anna's attention. The woman was seen carrying a red umbrella when it was not raining.

"Stop, Barrow!" his yell.

"What's wrong?" Barrow doesn't seem to understand.

"Stop I said!" Anna shouted back.

The car was suddenly stopped. Anna got out of the car in a hurry to see the bus that started walking away. Anna was surprised to see the mysterious figure of the woman she saw at the scene now behind the woman she saw earlier.

"What's wrong?" ask Barrow as he approaches her.

"Follow that bus, Barrow," Anna ordered.

"For what, Anna?" Barrow really doesn't understand.

"I have a feeling there will be casualties!" Anna pulled the colleague and asked him to hurry. He hoped that he was not late but that vengeful spirit would not let go of the victim he was targeting and he would not hesitate to kill the person who would disturb him later.

Anna hopes she can stop the mysterious woman so that no more victims fall but unfortunately she does not know if what she is facing is not human.

Relax guys, actually this is the story of this Anna agent solving the case caused by the Spirit and finding out who the spirit is and what the reason is so he always kills. Not very mystical, if you are afraid of reading it in the morning, wkwkwk....
