The Mystery Red Umbrella
All Because of You!

The situation in the hospital seemed chaotic, the police were already at the location when Anna and Barrow arrived at the place. The denseness of the streets made it difficult for them to arrive and once they arrived, they knew that a woman had jumped from the room on the twenty-seventh floor.

As the crowd draws their attention and once they know someone has committed suicide, Anna looks on and looks relieved that the corpse is not Lucia.

Anna doesn't care about the body being evacuated, she goes to find Nick to find out what happened to Lucia. He had assumed the amulet was not very guarantee, but he did not want to return to the hospital again due to the terrible events that night but now he had to return again.

Officers were already inside the room where Lucia was being treated, Anna did not find the girl in her room anymore. That's because Lucia's condition is being critical due to the poison given by Marion, precisely the spirit of the red umbrella.

"What's going on?" anna asked the officer in the room.

"Please don't come in, Mam," a female officer held her back so she wouldn't come in.

"I'm Anna Baker" Anna points out her badge and identity so she's allowed in.

"What's really going on?" ask again.

"A woman named Marion poisoned a patient named Lucia Devan and after that, she committed suicide" the officer said.

"Poisons?" it must have been the spirit of the red umbrella because he said he would do anything to kill Lucia.

Anna looked down, where Marion's body was being evacuated. Poor woman who should be a victim. Another victim who died as a result of the arwa. Hopefully there are no more victims but as long as he has not been able to solve the case then he is sure, the spirit will always take its toll.

The messy food becomes evidence, blood spots are also evidence because Lucia vomited blood before Nick returned to the room.

"Where is the girl now?" ask Anna.

"He's being handled in the emergency room for being critical."

Without wasting any time, Anna ran out because she wanted to know how Lucia was doing. Barrow follows him, both of them looking for Lucia's whereabouts until they finally see Nick in front of a room and look so depressed.

"Nick, how's your brother?" asked Anna, moving closer.

Nick looked at her, Anna could see if the man's eyes looked puffy and red as if they were crying. Nick grabs her waist suddenly, leaving Anna shocked. The man hugged her tightly, he could feel if Nick's body shook then something wet his shoulder.

Barrow stopped his steps, somehow he felt that he shouldn't be there. Barrow stepped back, so he had better go help the other officers than be among them.

"What's going on?" Anna rubbed Nick's back, she did just that to calm him down.

"I should have suspected, I should have known that it wasn't Marion because we hadn't seen each other for a long time but she suddenly came to see me. I even left them together, everything that happened because of my mistake, Anna," Nick said.

"There's no need to blame yourself like this, you just let your guard down."

"No, all because of my stupidity. I was too negligent and now, Lucia is on the verge of dying from the negligence I committed!"

Anna did not say anything more, her hands were unceasingly rubbing the young man's back. Nick must have been devastated because he had already caused his sister to be almost killed when he was there. Nick is very sorry to have left Lucia with Marion.

"All because of me" Nick said again.

"No, it's all because of that goddamn spirit!" now he's really angry. What a petty spirit but really what he must blame is the person who has made the spirit die filled with revenge. Whoever did this thing that made the red umbrella's spirit that way, he won't let go.

"What should I do, Anna. That spirit will keep chasing my sister."

"I don't know, Nick. I told you not to rely too much on the amulet I gave you but you won't listen to me!"

"I'm really stupid" Nick let go and sat back in the chair.

The two of them are silent, Anna searches for Barrow's whereabouts but the man is nowhere to be seen. He's not feeling good about Barrow.

"Other times, take good care of Lucia" Anna said.

"If Lucia were still alive, I would no longer neglect to look after her," was deeply regretful to her for being truly sorry.

At that moment, Nick's parents came. His mother looked worried but not with his father. The man showed a dislike expression when he saw Anna. Everything that happened after Lucia got involved with that agent.

"Nick, how's Lucia doing?" ask mother.

Nick moves on, and so does Anna. Nick's father's gaze could not be separated from Anna even the man approached Anna and stood before her.

"You, right? It's all because of you!" said it.

"Dad, what do you mean say that to Anna?" Nick looked unhappy.

"Don't defend himself, Nick. From the beginning everything happened to Lucia after meeting him. He is the source of the disaster in our family so Lucia has to experience unpleasant events many times!"

"Wow, Mr. Devan. Please don't accuse me recklessly" Anna said.

"Yes, Dad. Don't accuse Miss Anna of that. He was the helper who had saved Lucia several times" his wife said.

"Help? I told you not to trust this woman too much, but you still believe her!" galen Devan shouted loudly.

"Shut your mouth, Dad. Don't talk carelessly about Anna when Daddy doesn't know anything because Daddy only cares about Daddy's business!" nick said in a dislike tone.

"Hng, that's amazing. My family has dared to fight me. Is this what you want, Anna Baker?"

"Dad!" Nick shouted loudly, Anna tried to break up.

"No need to make a fuss because of me. I'm just a law enforcement officer. If Mr. Devan doesn't like me being here, then I'll go" Anna said.

"Go, don't ever bother my family again because of everything that happened to Lucia because of what you did!"

"Can you shut up, Dad?" nick's two hands were clenched tightly. It felt like hitting his father who blamed people carelessly.

"No need to be angry, Nick. I'm leaving first," Anna held Nick's hand and then she went back and said, "Let me know if Lucia's okay."

"Sorry, Anna. I'll call you later, "Nick's not feeling too good.

"Let him be well," after saying so, Anna stepped away. He didn't like any commotion caused by him. He could see Nick's father didn't like him and he didn't bother about it.

"Why are you talking like that to Anna, Dad? Don't you know how many times he's helped Lucia?" nick said annoyed.

"I told you, it's all because of him that we depend on him and believe in him. He also deliberately approached you, he wanted to seduce you so be careful!" said father.

"Why did he do that? Daddy don't just talk if you don't have proof!"

"Of course he wants our money, he pretends to be good with a spirit subterfuge that we can't see. Are you not suspicious at all? Don't let the spirit send it!" said father.

"Enough, Dad! Once again I heard Daddy say bad things about Anna, even if you were my father, I wouldn't forgive him!" nick said as he walked away.

The mother tries to prevent him but Nick leaves. They did not know if their conversation was heard by the figure in a red dress standing behind the door. A wide grin adorned his torn face. It could be used to get rid of Anna Baker so as not to bother him again.
