In another country, a man sitting in a wheelchair laughed loosely at the news that appeared on television that day. Not only was the wedding party destroyed, but two people were declared dead. Argon Wilson and his son-in-law Laura Orca. Both died in a fire at a wedding that was supposed to be a happy moment for the Wilson family.
The man's laughter filled the room that morning. The cigar in his hand slowly sipped, thick smoke coming out of his mouth and billowing into the air. A cynical smile was on the old man's face.
"Look, I won!" Point it towards the screen at the man standing behind him and laughing triumphantly.
"Indeed the girl was very reliable." Laughter blared back there from her lips. "Argon may die grilled with pent-up pain. But, Michael will suffer his whole life beyond that man."
"Yes, Sir. Just one more step we can control the legal and illegal market."
"Where are they now?"
"On the way here, sir. Maybe we'll be there soon."
Sure enough, shortly after the conversation the two a car began to enter the residence courtyard. Encouraged by his men, the man began to move in welcoming the two people who had come.
"You're back" said the man to the two girls.
"Uncle."
"Dad" said Catherine and Laura.
"Welcome" greeted the man. "You must be tired after a long journey. Come inside!" They entered the house like a family. Even rooms for Laura and Catherine were available at the residence.
Laura and Catherine entered their room to put down the luggage. But Laura felt empty there. He threw himself on the bed with his hands together against his cheeks. "Cathy."
"Hmm, why? Are you tired?"
Only a nod could Laura give in response. He then changed his position to sit and look at Catherine who was arranging clothes. "thank you. Thank you for helping me all this time."
The two hugged for a moment. Until a knock on the door stopped the atmosphere of the two women. "Come in" said Catherine.
"Miss, Master is waiting for you in the room" said a servant.
"alright. I'll be there soon" replied Catherine. He looked at Laura for a moment. "Rest first. You must be tired after a long trip. I'll see you for a second."
Catherine went to follow the servant who called her, while Laura, who was left alone, stood up from her position. He stepped onto the balcony of the room, looking at the scene in front of the bright room while closing his eyes.
Laura's memory goes back five years. The moment where he walked his own panting in the street due to being chased away by his aunt. I don't know what it would have been like that night if he hadn't met Catherine and her father.
They brought Laura home and considered her like a family. However, after Laura rose from her wound and received training from James Whale. The girl chose to live on her own after finding out her aunt had found out about her life. Laura became a street sweeper at the time.
It wasn't easy for Laura to go through every training before she became independent. However, James Whale managed to provoke every sentence until Laura was not easy to give up. Although it was very difficult and painful, but they actually managed to turn the originally meek cheerful girl into a vindictive figure as well as cunning.
"Oh yes, I forgot to give something to uncle after my mission succeeded." Laura opened the suitcase she had not touched. He took out a box containing gifts for James and cheerfully stepped into the man's room.
However, Laura's hand that had been holding the doorknob came to a halt due to hearing the conversation inside between James and Catherine. "You've made sure Argon died there?"
"Already, Dad. Even Laura was in front of him back then."
"good. It must have been very painful for that man. After searching for so many years, he ended up dying at the hands of his own daughter."
"What does that mean?" inner Laura was astonished at every sentence that entered her ears. He immediately abandoned the intention to enter the room. His body trembled violently with the reality he had just heard. His brain was unable to think to digest James' speech. However, it was all like a lightning strike that instantly shattered him at that very instant.
