The Prisoner's Wife Mr. Arogan

The Prisoner's Wife Mr. Arogan
Chapter 37: Too Dangerous

In the morning the Whale family went through the routine as usual. James, Zack, Catherine, and Laura had breakfast together at a table. They ate each menu in silence and there was no chatter for a few moments. However, a second later, James opened his mouth from saying to Laura.

"Laura, you're young. What if you continue your education?" james broke the silence that morning.

Spontaneous Laura chokes on her food. He immediately grabbed the drink glass before him calmly. If it is intended to tell him to continue his education, why not offer it first? Clearly this was all just an excuse to get rid of Laura's figure as soon as possible.

"Dad, isn't that too soon? It seems Laura is very surprised by your offer." Catherine who was still unable to read father's plan was currently rubbing Laura's back slowly.

The girl only smiled thinly behind her mouth at this moment. "What, Uncle wants to recommend the university to me?" He was trying to understand the situation. His view cannot be separated from the figure of James.

The man clearly understood that Laura was too intelligent to be lied to. He who had been plotting revenge for so many years couldn't possibly let his plan get charred away just like that. Last night's failure, obviously most likely done by Laura. Hence, James decided to get rid of the girl as soon as possible.

"No, Cathy. I would like to ask you the opposite, Uncle. What, Uncle has a good university recommendation for me?" laura replied relaxed.

This is what James really likes about Laura. Smart girl who easily understands the situation. Even when he intended to throw it away, the girl understood and even gave a smile. Of course it made him furious, his hands were getting stronger holding a fork and knife. The spotlight was also sharply glanced towards Laura.

"You can go to the best university in the Chameleon area."

"Dad, isn't that far away. The area is remote anyway. Why not just register it in the city?" Catherine's objection caused the clinking sound of the cutlery from James' hand to echo. The girl then fell silent and was no longer able to speak after getting a sharp glare from the father.

"I'll go there, Uncle. Cathy, you don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine there." Laura gently rubbed the back of the woman she had already considered her own sister.

"good. Pack your things and leave today. Zack, I'll take you." Without waiting for the refusal of Laura or Catherine, James then brought his wheelchair to leave the dining room. Of course followed by Zack pushing from behind.

For a moment James enjoyed the sensation that the grilled tobacco gave him. White smoke billows in the air spreading the distinctive aroma of active smokers. Meanwhile, Zack only stayed silent for a long time beside him because he knew James was not feeling well today.

A moment later, the middle-aged man began to put the cigar into the ashtray and spoke. "Zack."

"Yes, Dad."

"Make sure the girl won't be back in her entire life!" James's orders.

"Good, Dad. But what about Catherine?"

"You're an expert at playing situations and manipulating conditions. I don't have to teach you."

"I get it, Dad." Zack bowed respectfully and took a few steps back before leaving James alone.

As a senior in the dark world, of course he understood every development of his men. Including Zack, Catherine, and Laura. The girl had quite a rapid development beyond her two brothers.

Unfortunately, Laura was not on his side. He's too clever to fool a James Whale. Although it was the first time, but the play was so convincing that it left no loopholes and James would not let the girl become a stumbling block to his failure.

"You're too dangerous to keep, '" muttered James by quenching the cigar and smashing it to pieces.
