Chapter 52: The Purge

Two priests charged with exorcism in the area arrived. Father Vincent brought one of his seniors who looked older, with hair that had started to gray. The two enter the room accompanied by Nathan after getting a call. Even though Father Vincent had expected that this would happen.

Michael immediately moved from his position to approach the two men. Worry, despair, confusion and carelessness were clearly drawn on his face even though he did not explain it directly.

"Did he do anything weird?" ask Father Vincent to Michael.

Michael just nodded in small response. Without elaborating, Father Vincent understood what had happened seeing the marks of violence on Michael's neck becoming clearer. This is what happens when evil spirits take over the human body. He will hurt others, or himself by whispering unseen words to make the victim commit extreme acts, even to suicide.

"We're going to do a cleansing ritual. No one comes any closer let alone make any physical contact whatever happens!" father Vincent warned as he lit some candles around the room.

Meanwhile, one of the priests moved closer towards Laura and began to ask while provoking. "What's his name?" ask the pastor to Laura. The two gazes met so fiercely. The priest was listening to a mysterious whisper. However, he calmly handled his patients while saying a prayer.

Seeing the peace of the priest, Laura shook her head as if she was rejecting the man now before her. However, the priest did not give up easily and continued to say prayers while asking. "You know who he is? Tell me what his name is!" resolute again.

As if reacting to what happened, Laura began to show back the changes in her. The woman's eyeballs suddenly spun and revealed a completely white part, her mouth was gaping, giving off an unusual foul smell and looking like there was a monster inside her, until a voice like an animal was heard coming out of him.

Laura's body began to fidget and tremble violently, something within her now turbulent began to show her true form that was trying to break away. His hands did not stop moving from earlier adding to the gripping atmosphere in the room.

The priest immediately began the exorcism ritual. He reached for the scriptures and holy water that was brought, as well as implying it to Laura's body while chanting a prayer. "You know who he is! Tell me!"

Instead of answering, the woman turned to Michael who was at the side with a grin. A very horrible smile for anyone who looked at him, especially Nathan. A second later, Laura changed her expression.

"Michael, they hurt me" said Laura. He moaned as if the priest in front had just tortured him.

The woman also cried, causing anxiety in Michael to become more and more so want to stop this ritual. However, Father Vincent beside him also made Michael aware of what was going on. "Don't listen to what he's saying! The devil is taking over your wife's body and trying to provoke her."

The pastor who does the work then says a prayer. He put a cross on Laura's forehead and asked, "What's your name? Say now!"

"Michael, sick!"

Unceasingly the Pastor recited the prayer in the book. However, Laura continued to answer, deny, and insult every word that the priest said. "He's not here! He won't hear you. God is dead!"

Without listening to the devil's chatter the priest continued to say a prayer. However, Laura also unceasingly messed up. "Basic sinner! You're just a liar! Michael, help me this is so painful!"

However, again the devil fouled it not because of. Instead of answering, he mentioned every past sin that could cause the pastor to become weak. The devil does not even hesitate to give a picture of the pastor to waver.

Unfortunately, the faith in the pastor is quite strong. The more the devil incited the priest, the louder the prayer. "Tell me what your name is!"

Under intense pressure, Laura finally opened her mouth while shouting a name.

It was the name that was eventually used by the priest to order the devil away from Laura's body.

Laura screamed in pain, and she thrashed and finally spewed out tiny hairs, pieces of wood and metal and nails. Complete with thick black blood and foul-smelling. A moment later, Laura was helpless and her face and body returned to its original state.

Satan sometimes appears through possessed people. As much as possible no one gets touched when he provokes a human, especially when there is physical contact during a ritual.

When he is sick, the possessed man will scream, jitters and vomit. That is why exorcisms are performed in closed rooms.

"Thank God the devil that is embedded in you, Madam can already be cleansed. We'll check a few days later the change in him. Whether he needs a ritual or not. But, if the spirit was completely unclean, he would show back other symptoms later on. You can contact us right then and there" the pastor explained.

"What should I do next?" ask Michael.

"You can focus on healing Madam, sir. Once the evil spirit is clean of its body you can call in medical personnel and therapists to focus on the trauma that occurred before. And also the healing of internal wounds, Mistress at this time."

Michael nodded in understanding. It was such a relief to be able to get through such a thrilling ritual that he had never even imagined before.

The two priests withdrew, and Nathan called some servants to clean the room.

Michael took off the rope that bound each side of Laura's body. Without feeling a warm circle flowing in the corner of his eyes. "If only I could replace you with all that pain. I must have changed it a long time ago," he said as he gently stroked Laura's cheek which now began to show hue.

In Michael's heart, he promises to find out who is behind Laura's mother's true death. In various ways, Michael will prove that he and his father are innocent and try to gain Laura's trust. Show the girl if she's not alone in the world. There are still people who love him wholeheartedly and are willing to do anything to help him.

He would no longer let Laura hold a grudge alone, as well as trying to take the girl's heart. Any way. Although he had to accept rejection after this.
