The Prisoner's Wife Mr. Arogan

The Prisoner's Wife Mr. Arogan
Chapter 40: Nine Lives

The car in which contains Laura alone, plunged freely into the ravine followed by a box car behind her. On the threshold between life and death, Laura was still trying to brace herself and her survival instinct made her immediately look for the best position.

The sitting position in the back is a little advantageous for him because it can still survive shocks and can avoid broken car glass fragments. The vehicle was continuously sliding down. Not even once had to hit the steep rocks.

Lucky even though the vehicle was damaged quite badly, but not to the top of it because when it began to roll over, it soon ended up stopping after being blocked by two trees at the bottom of the gorge.

Laura tried hard to gain consciousness. Fresh blood flowed through her head and the girl's body felt crumpled.

Repeatedly Laura blinked her eyes and shook her head. Shortly after, he vaguely saw a man walking towards him in an equally wounded condition. However, it looks better than him.

Surely the man did not have good intentions with just one look. Laura decided to pretend to be unconscious. However, behind his body is stored a gun to protect himself.

The man tried to open the back door by breaking the glass. However, when his hands tried to check the condition Laura was still breathing or not. The girl opened her eyes and fired her gun several times until the man was killed instantly.

"You guys really intend to get rid of me," murmured Laura heavily feeling pain all over her body.

The smell of gasoline then stings more and more makes Laura immediately escape, leaving the dead man alone. With limping legs and a body full of injuries Laura tried to get away from the vehicle. Before long, the sound of an explosion from behind instantly knocked Laura's body several meters forward.

Laura was rolling on the ground. He fell deeper because he could only fall. The steep soil conditions of course dragged it further and further to the bottom until it ended at the bottom of the ravine. The girl looked up at the high sky. The thick billows of smoke and flames far from her current location made the girl breathe a little sigh of relief. Expect no more attacks from them as it is indeed very weak condition at the moment.

Before long, the girl finally lost consciousness and could only hope that God would still give her a chance to live.

It was different with Laura who was either alive or dead. Zack and Catherine immediately returned to the residence after what happened. The woman immediately ran to hug the father when she arrived at the residence and cried as much as she could.

"A–dad, Laura—" Catherine did not until the heart continued its sentence. However, James gently calmed the woman down.

"Calm down. You know Laura's a strong girl. Go to the room and clean yourself first."

Catherine nodded obediently, with the help of the maid she went to her room. Meanwhile, Zack follows where his father is going.

"You're sure he's dead in there?" ask James.

"His car fell into a ravine and ended up exploding, Dad. It's impossible if the girl survives unless she has nine lives like a cat" Zack replied confidently.

"Don't be too sure of speculation! Keep monitoring the progress and make sure that Laura really has become a corpse. Without the body, you'd have to keep looking for it. But don't let Catherine know! He loves that girl too much."

"All right, Dad."

"Go! You can rest."

Zack bowed respectfully before stepping back and turning to leave James alone.

"She was too often lucky and lived nine. I hope that the descendants of Argon really do not exist anymore, so that no one would dare to block my path. There's only one more mouse that I have to get rid of" James muttered grinning as he played an iron ring in his hand.
