The Twin Bed (Wrong Bed)

The Twin Bed (Wrong Bed)
The Story of One Night in Brooklyn

Jeff and Caitlyn are seen coming out of his house while holding hands towards their garage. In the garage, Alice appears to be putting things that belong to Caitlyn. When they were in the garage, Jeff hugged Caitlyn's body while kissing her shoulder.

"I'm going to miss you so much" Jeff said. She loosened her arms and looked at Caitlyn's face and then held her face.

"Miss you too, honey" replied Caitlyn. He then brought his face closer to Jeff's face and began to kiss the lips of Jeff who was meted out by him until their tongues intertwined with each other.

"Jeff, Cat! How long do I have to look at a scene like this? Didn't you guys sleep together last night, wasn't that enough?" alice protested while putting both of her hands around her waist and shook her head while letting out a sneer from her mouth.

Hearing Alice's words, Caitlyn then released her kiss from Jeff, now they both seem to smile.

"Aren't you married for five years? Why are you still acting like this? Like a newlywed! Then, don't you think about how I feel? I've never even dated but you guys easily make out in front of me? Really sucks!" it was Alice's nagging that made Jeff and Caitlyn laugh out loud.

"I'm sorry Alice, I'm so sorry," replied Caitlyn with a smile and sulk.

"I'm sorry!" alice grumbled into Caitlyn's car.

"She seems angry?" jeff said with a smile.

"He wouldn't dare be mad at me if he didn't want to lose his job" Caitlyn replied then laughed out loud.

Jeff then kissed Caitlyn's ranum lips back while stroking her face. "I don't want you to be late, leave now and then come back to me, I'm sure to miss you a lot."

Caitlyn hugged Jeff back before getting into his car. After the car drove out of the house, Jeff then took his phone to call someone.

[Hello, have you found an apartment for my friend?] ask Jeff at someone on the other end of the line.

[Already, Boss. I'll send you the address later.]

[Good, send me the address right now!] jeff then hung up the phone.

He then fiddled with his phone back to call Amber.

[Hello, Amber. You where?]

[I'll be there soon, Jeff.] replied Amber.

[Okay, I'll pick you up now.]

Jeff then hung up the phone and got into his car and drove the car to a subway station not far from his home. A few minutes later, he arrived at the subway station.

Jeff then approached a woman standing in a pink dress near the exit of the subway station. The woman also seemed to smile so sweetly at him.

"Yes Jeff," replied Amber, a feeling of happiness was so deep in her heart. His heart now felt racing as he faced the handsome man now before him.

"How are you doing?"

"As you can see" said Amber, holding back the feeling that was so raging, the longing that for one month was so tempestuous in her heart was felt to settle.

"Good then, are we going now?"

"Yes" replied Amber and followed Jeff into her car. Then they got into the car. Jeff then drove his car out of the subway station to a simple apartment building not far from downtown Manhattan.

"You stay in this apartment, tomorrow you'll start working at the cafe of one of my friends."

"Thank you, Jeff."

"Let's go down now" Jeff told Amber. They then got out of the car and entered the apartment building then climbed the elevator and stopped on the fifth floor of the apartment.

Jeff then took Amber out of the hallway to an apartment located in the corner on the floor of the apartment.

"Come in, and get some rest, tomorrow I'll pick you up and I'll take you to my friend's cafe."

"Thank you Jeff" said Amber and entered the apartment. However, Amber's steps stopped when entering the apartment because Jeff was just standing in front of the apartment door.

"Jeff, why don't you come in? Come in, I'll make you drink first."

"Did you miss me?" jeff asked, which made Amber blush.

"I'm sorry, Amber. I should know my limits as a married man, didn't I tell you back in Brooklyn that I loved my wife so much and didn't want our happenings to happen again? The story between us is quite a one-night error in Brooklyn, and I hope there's no repetition of the same mistake. I just want to keep my boundaries and keep my promise to you, that's all. You understand, right?"

Amber nodded her head. "Yes, you do have to keep your limits" replied Amber with a forced smile.

"Thank you, I have to go to the office right now."

"Yes Jeff, be careful."

Jeff then nodded his head then left Amber just like that, while Amber stared at Jeff's departure with a look that was so poignant.

'Am I selfish or my heart illogical? Logically he has to leave but my heart wants him back. But has the heart ever been logical?' amber murmured as she looked at Jeff's back who walked away from her until the figure disappeared from her sight.
