"Jeff's? Is that really Jeff?" edrick said while frowning. He then approached the man.

"Jeff!" call Edrick, albeit with a little hesitation. The man then turned his body.

Edrick breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the man in front of him was Jeff.

"Jeff!" get Edrick back.

"Edrick are you here?" jeff asked while frowning. Edrick nodded his head.

"Jeff, I should have asked you! Where have you been all this time, Jeff? You always send money to Amber, but why don't you ever see us again?"

"You mean, I've been such a coward? So you mean Ed? I know that, I know that, Ed. But I don't care, I don't care what everyone thinks of me. I don't need recognition to look good in other people's eyes, even if the whole world hates me, I don't care, Edrick. All I need is comfort. Comfort life, Ed!"

"Then are you comfortable with your current life?"

Jeff smiled wryly at Edrick's words. "I'm comfortable, even though I'm unhappy, but at least I don't live on lies! The lies that Amber was lying about!"

"The lies? What's that lie, Jeff? You don't make it up, Jeff!"

Jeff smiled wryly. "Forget all my words, Ed. Then why are you here? "

"You alone?"

"I'm working on this hospital construction project. So I'm going home to Manhattan."

"Go back to Manhattan? Where have you been all this time?"

"I went to Ottawa. In this city, there are so many memories that I went through with Caitlyn. I can't live in this city, it's too sick."

"If you feel that way why did you choose to leave Caitlyn's life? Didn't you also know that Amber would marry me? You don't have to act stupid leaving Caitlyn, Jeff!"

"It wasn't me Ed, it wasn't me who asked to leave Caitlyn. But Caitlyn herself. Hearing Jeff's words, Edrick also fell silent while holding back the feeling that was so raging. 'Why did Jeff tell Amber his secret and attitude? What happened to Amber?' inner Edrick. Slowly he opened his voice.

"I really don't understand what you're saying, you said that if Amber had a secret, now you're saying that you know what Amber's true attitude is! What do you mean, Jeff?"

"Don't I tell you if you better not think about all that, Ed. You haven't answered my question. What are you doing in this hospital? Who is sick? Is Daddy sick again? Or Amber gave birth?" said Jeff.

"The problem? What's the matter, Ed?"

"Jeff, when Amber was eight months pregnant, she was diagnosed with blood cancer. So, Amber gave birth to your child early."

"Our son?" jeff said with a wry smile.

"Why is there something wrong with my words?"

"Nothing, nothing wrong with your words! What about Amber now?"

"His condition has improved, he's already had a spinal cord transplant surgery."

"Spinal marrow surgery? Isn't it usually the donor's spinal cord from the family or the closest person who has the same DNA match?" jeff said while frowning. Edrick was silent.

"Edrick tell me quickly! Quickly tell me who the donor is, Ed? It must be Caitlyn, right? Must be Caitlyn who did the donor for the transplant on Amber?" Jerk Jeff.

Edrick was silent. "You don't try to lie to me!"

Edrick then shook his head. "I haven't told you anything, Jeff! Why are you yelling at me like this?"

"Because I'm so upset, Ed! I'm upset and mad at Caitlyn! I'm tired of Caitlyn's love for Amber, and Amber? He's still being bad to Caitlyn, isn't he? Isn't that Ed?"

Edrick nodded his head. 'I know all this, Amber. I've known all this if you'd have acted like this with Caitlyn. That's your true nature, Jeff's inner self.

He looked back at Edrick. "Edrick, the operation's done, right? Then where is Caitlyn now? Caitlyn's healed, right? She must be okay too, right, Ed?"

Edrick closed his eyes, wanting him to tell Caitlyn the truth, but he was afraid that if Jeff found out about Caitlyn's true state, he would feel more devastated.

"I'm sorry" said Edrick.

"I'm sorry?" jeff asked while holding back the feeling that was so raging.

"Ed please tell me what really happened to Caitlyn? Please tell me the truth, Edrick! Tell me the truth!"

Edrick then exhaled his long breath, then slowly opened his mouth.

"Sorry Jeff, Caitlyn is currently in a coma."
