To be the Second

To be the Second
The Rare Hugs

You don't have to conceive, give birth and breastfeed to make yourself a good mother. As experienced by Anna. God did give her destiny a disease that made her unable to conceive. But that doesn't mean Anna can't feel how happy she is to be a mother.

These few days, Anna was so grateful for her destiny. Maybe God loves him so much. Until he does not need to feel how nausea like that hit most pregnant women. He also does not need to feel the pain during labor and postpartum.

Anna doesn't need to feel all those sensations in order for her to earn the title of mother. Because even though she can't conceive to breastfeed a baby, she can still be a mother figure.

Now, Anna is holding haru while holding Arkana in her cradle and helping Mutiara with her schoolwork. How could he not feel so happy and grateful. She does not need to go through stages like most women to become a mother. She even has two children at the same time.

It's been three days since Meyta was unconscious. For three days Anna took care of Pearl and Arkana.

Every morning the woman prepared breakfast for Pearl and her grandmother. Anna did not even forget to leave her husband's provisions to Meyta's biological mother, when the middle-aged woman took turns to look after Meyta when Wirra went to work.

Every night Anna always wakes up and gives a bottle of milk that she concocts lovingly to her stepson— Arkana.

Anna is truly happy to live out her days as a mother of two. Even though the child he was raising was the biological child of his younger sister, Anna still felt happy. Especially the pearls that were so spoiled to her.

Anna truly felt deeply loved by the two children. The hassles he experienced from opening his eyes to closing his eyes again at night, once he enjoyed. Anna did not consider him a burden. Being a housewife who takes care of the house and the children alone, is her dream. Anna is really happy with her new role as a mother

But that happiness doesn't seem to last long. Because Meyta had miraculously regained consciousness on the fifth day. Even the condition of the woman was declared to have been stable.

“Where are Arka and Rara?” meyta asked as soon as the woman came to her senses from her long sleep and found her husband and mother by her side.

Meyta felt so worried. If her husband and mother were nearby, who would look after her two children? Where is his son? At home is it? Or is it outside the room where it's being treated?

“ You're a total break and don't mind much, dear. Rara and Arka are already in charge. You take it easy,” said Wirra.

“Who?” ask Meyta curiously.

Did the husband hire a nanny to look after his two children? Why are her husband and mother so careless as to let a nanny work unsupervised?

Wirra tells Meyta about the woman who took care of her two children.

“Anna?!” peekit Meyta's.

Meyta looked at her husband. Instead of hiring a babysitter, Wirra asks Anna to look after her two children.

Wirra was stunned to hear Meyta's words. The man actually did not accept the woman's words. It could be that Meyta is making fun of the person who has taken care of their child. Moreover, that person is Anna, the woman who is now very much loved. Wirra is so cocky. But Meyta's condition made him unable to refute the words of his second wife. Wirra could only take a deep breath so that anger would not overwhelm her.

“I don't want to know, Wir. As long as I'm still in intensive care at the hospital, you'll have to hire a professional babysitter to look after my children. Let mom watch over him. So, I don't have to come here to take care of me. Can't you keep me here alone until I have to ask my mom for help?!”

Wirra took a deep breath. He did not want the emotions he had been holding back to explode and make Meyta's health decline. The woman had just regained consciousness after five days of unconsciousness. There's no way she's gonna get Meyta to argue, right now.

“I've had too much time off. My cut is over. And projects in the office are many. So, I cannot accompany you from morning to evening,” explained Wirra.

“Mey, you just realized that you were even taking your husband noisily, anyway. Children's business, let Wirra take care of it. You just focus on your recovery. Anyway, Anna takes care of Rara and Arka very well kok.”

“Where can you know? My mother was always in the hospital. It could have been when there was no one he tortured Arka who was a baby,” Meyta denied.

“Mey! Enough Mey. You don't overdo it that way. Anna's been very kind to help take care of our children when you're sick like this. You should thank him, not even slander him,” Wirra said. The man really could no longer hold back his anger as Meyta continuously insulted the woman he loved.

Meyta looked at Wirra with anger. The woman recalled the incident she had experienced before becoming unconscious. Before he became a hit-and-run victim.

Meyta recalled Wirra looking at Anna with a look of love and regret.

She should have been in a religious court at the time and arranged for her divorce from Wirra. But, with her current condition, it is impossible for her to sue for divorce from her husband.

The doctor said if there is a part of his leg that is broken so he must completely rest his leg. He doesn't want Wirra to take responsibility for him. Didn't he have the accident because Wirra lied to him?

Wirra must take responsibility.

“I'm sorry I received your application, Wir. Because of being married to you, I have to endure the heartache of every time you stay at Anna's house. And now, I have to have an accident. It's all because of you, Wir,”.

Wirra, who had been overcome by anger, now suddenly said. The man admitted it. He was the cause of the accident. If he had kept his promise to Meyta not to meet Anna, the accident would have never happened.

Wirra clasping Meyta's fingers, “forgive me, honey. I really feel guilty about this accident. I will take care of you until you are completely healed. I will continue to be next to you, until you recover,”.

Meyta smiled faintly. Wirra's guilty feelings will she use to take advantage of the man. Isn't Anna like that? When the woman was sick, she asked Wirra to accompany her until her husband ignored her. And since then, Wirra's attitude has slowly changed.

Meyta took advantage of the opportunity. The woman will use Wirra's guilt to keep the man next to her and forget Anna.
