HUMBLE
Meet people when they need you with cheerfulness and humility. So, if you are exposed to a calamity and a bad situation befall you, and then you meet them, then you are safe and in spite of the danger of humiliation because of your humility.
The upper classes, if they are educated, are humble; and if they become poor, they attack.
Imam Ali said to someone who praised him excessively, while his loyalty to him was doubtful, "I am not what you say, and 'above' what you hide in your heart."
A humble man is like a ravine in which there are other raindrops, while a proud man is like a hill that does not dwell in his rain and other rain.
If you have done everything, then do not be like one who has done nothing.
FAIRNESS
The Imam 'Ali a.s. was asked about the word of Allah Ta'ala: Verily Allah commands (you) to be just (al-'adl) and to do good (QS 16:90), so he replied," Al-adl is fair, while 'ihsan' is a soft-tempered (tafadhdhul)."
Justice is one form, whereas injustice has many forms. Therefore, doing injustice is easy, while being fair is difficult. Both resemble the target in guessing, that is, in terms of hitting the target and not hitting the target, then all that is not needed.
Fear the weak if he is under (protection) the flag of justice, with a fear greater than that of the strong under the banner of injustice. For victory came to him from a direction he did not know, and his wounds would never heal.
Pay attention to what is in you, and do not put it except in its place; and what is in others, so do not take it except by its right.
It is wrong to give to an unauthorized person, while he does not give to a entitled person.
Imam 'Ali a.s once asked, "What is more important, justice or generosity?" he replied, "justice means putting things in their place, while generosity means removing them from their front. Justice is the general ruler, while generosity of something that happens sometimes and is temporary. Thus, justice is nobler and more primal.
Justice is more important than courage. For if men were to use justice in general, they would no longer need courage.
Will not worry a just man in his law, feed from his staple food, and save from his world for his hereafter.
There are three classes of men who will not ask for justice from the other three classes of men, namely; the filial one of the disobedient, the wise one of the ignorant, and the noble of the despicable.
Choose to be the loser, but you are just; and do not choose to be the one who wins, but you are unjust.
Be yourself as a balance of justice in terms of what is going on between you and others.
The reign of the unjust is shorter than that of the just. Because, the unjust person damages, and the just person makes repairs, while the destruction of something is faster than the repair.
Whoever is fair to those below him (in social status), he will get fair treatment from those above him.
DO GOOD AND AVOID EVIL
Kindness is not by increasing the number of possessions and children. But goodness is the increase of your knowledge, the increase of your patience, and you rival others by your worship of your Lord. So, if you do good, you praise Allah 'Azza wa jalla; and if you do bad, you will beware of Allah.
There is no good in this world except for two classes of men, namely: (first), a person who sins, and he quickly straightens his actions by repenting. (Second), a person who hastened in charity policy. It is not in view of the little deeds done with piety, so how can we say a little of an act received (God )?
Opportunity goes on like the way of the clouds. Therefore, hurry quickly you take all good opportunities (before they pass from you).
Genuine generosity is about doing good to everyone.
Among the most important virtues are: donating in times of distress, acting rightly when angry, and apologizing when able to punish.
The good that there is no evil in it is to be grateful when it is enjoyed, and to be patient when it is lost.
Do good and do not underestimate it. Because, the small is big and at least is a lot. And let not one of you say, "someone is more important in doing this good than I am." And by Allah, his words will come true. Verily for good and evil there is a possessor (the doer). So, however you leave between the two, there is someone else who will do it.
If a man dies, his deeds are cut off except three; a science which he teaches to men and they benefit from it; and a godly child who prays for it.
Forgive the faults of those who have a noble character, for every one of them, if they make a mistake, surely the hand of God is with his hand that lifts up his error.
10. Do not forsake goodness, for the times are always turning. Lots of people who day expect the good (gift ) of others to turn into people who are expected by others, and the person who follows others yesterday turns into the one who follows.
The beginning of goodness is seen lightly, but finally viewed heavily. Almost at the beginning it is considered to be just obeying the imagination, open the mind; but in the end it is considered as a fruit of the mind, not a delusion. Therefore, it is said that maintaining a job is harder than starting it.
With kindness, free people can be enslaved.
There must be a friend in your grave. Therefore, make your friend a friend who has a handsome face that smells good. He is a godly charity.
Starting a job is a sunnah, while maintaining it is mandatory.
There is no trade like pious charity, and there is no profit like reward.
If you feel tired in virtue, then the fatigue will be lost, while the virtue will be eternal.
Spend your wealth in the right things, and do not be a treasure-keeper for other than yourself (others).
