Ask Me Before You Lose Me

Ask Me Before You Lose Me
Deliberation, lying, tyranny, greed, gossiping etc

Colloquy

Conversation is calm for you and exhaustion for others.

There is no helper like deliberation.

Will not get the truth of the one who leaves deliberation.

Advise everyone who asks for an opinion (to you), and do not ask for an opinion (consultant) except to a wise advisor.

Do not involve a devout person in your deliberation because he will derail your activity, nor a coward because he will frighten what you do not fear, nor is he greedy because he will promise you what is not expected, but fear, filiality, and covetousness are one disposition, all are united by prejudice against God.

Imam 'Ali a.s once said to 'Abdullah bin 'abbas r.a. who at that time he gave advice to the imam 'Ali a.s., but the imam did not approve his suggestion, "you have the right to give advice to me, you have the right to give advice to me, I also considered your advice. However, if I do not agree with your suggestion, then follow me."

If your enemy asks you for advice, then give him advice with all your heart (sincere). For, by consulting him to you, he has come out of enmity with you and has entered into love with you.

If you want to know the character of a person, then invite him to exchange ideas with you. For by exchanging that thought, you will know the extent of his justice and injustice, his good and his evil.

If you need deliberation in something that happens to you, then prioritize first to young people because they are sharper in mind and faster in intuition. Then return their opinions to the opinions of adults and parents so that they give comments and choose the good. Because they have more experience.

THE DESPICABLE NATURE

LIE

Honesty is glory, while lying is humiliation. Whoever is known as an honest person, then in trust in the lie; and whoever is known as a liar, then his honesty is not believed.

Lying is an insult.

Abandon lies for the sake of glory, if you will not forsake them for sin.

Never befriend a liar, for he draws near to you far away and distances you near.

Two things that never escape from lies, namely: many promises and strong excuses.

There is no wibaba for liars.

The greatest tribulation is the promise of a liar to a greedy man.

The greatest error (sin) with God is the tongue of the liar. The one who speaks with a lie and the one who holds out the same rope in sin.

I never lie and I am not lost, and I cannot be misled.

Stay away from lies because they keep faith away. The honest are on the edge of salvation and glory, while the liars are on the edge of destruction and humiliation.

The envy of the dead diminishes, but the lie over them increases.

Do not see who says, but see what is said.

Whoever has lost the primacy of honesty in his speech, then he has lost his noblest character.

TYRANNY

Tyranny of the weak is the most cruel tyranny.

Tyranny is the end of the reign of the king.

The most reprehensible tyranny is when you are in power.

As bad as the provision for the day of resurrection is hostility towards the servant of God.

Tyranny for man has three signs, namely: tyranny to those above him with disobedience, to those below him with mastery, and support those who wrong.

The most despicable person is the one who slanders the weak in the face of the unjust ruler.

For the wrongdoer tomorrow (on the Day of Resurrection) there is a (mark) bite in his hand.

There is no victory with injustice.

Do not be unjust, as you do not want to be wronged.

GREEDY

Greed is an eternal slave.

Greed will not produce anything.

Greed is a sign of fear.

Most disputes are caused by greed.

Greed is the cause of a person's struggle in the act of sin.

Greed reduces a person's worth and does not add to his luck.

Greed gathers all the ugliness of disgrace.

Greed forbids (the culprit of good), whereas cowardice is deadly. If you are not sure, pay attention to what you see and what you hear, what is killed in most advanced wars (in battlefields ) or who escapes from them ? And notice also the one who asks well and shows respect, is he more deserving of the favor of the day than you, or is he who asks well for gluttony and greed ?

Reply to greed with qana'ah (satisfied with the sustenance of Allah given to him), just as you repay the enemy with kisas (equal vengeance ).

There are so many disappointing hopes, and greed is belied.

Stay away from the vehicle of greed that shakes you.

TATTLE

Shooting is a field of despicable people.

The one who listened to the gossip was one of the people who gossiped.

Tossing is a weak man's effort.

Gossiping is an inner reproach.

Whoever sees his own disgrace will not take care of others.

Lucky for the one who is preoccupied by his own disgrace rather than taking care of the people.

O servant of Allah. Do not rush to reproach someone for his sin, for the sins of that person are forgiven. And do not feel secure over yourselves because of the little sins you have committed because of the times you will be punished for them. Therefore, anyone among you who knows the disgrace of others, let him restrain himself. And let him concern himself with gratitude for the health he has given himself, while others are tested with him (disease ).

A slanderer is an arrow that kills.

Slanderers are bridges of evil.

DANG KEDUNG RAGE

The beginning of anger is unwillingness, while the end is regret.

Let not anger cause you to sin because it only heals your anger, while you have made your religion sick.

Be careful of the anger of what drives you to him because he shuts down thinking activities and blocks proof.

A little anger is already too much in distressing the soul and the intellect.

Anger wreaks the deepest revenge.

Won't walk glory angry with humiliation apologizing.

Do not break the sentence when you are angry.

Set aside your pleasure from your anger; and if you fly, stay near.

The anger of the wise man lies in his deeds, while the anger of the ignorant in his words.

The tongue of the wise man is behind his heart, while the heart of the fool is behind his tongue.
