Bettor Mr. Nobles
Chapter 18

"Have you never seen a firefly?" ask Naeva.

"Either .. may have been, but I only remember his name, because it seems like what I've seen does not glow yellow like this." Abellard's forehead frowned within minutes, and then the man exclaimed enthusiastically, "yes, yes! I remember now! I saw it on a photograph. That's why I don't know if the color of the light is yellow."

Naeva immediately turned her head in shock, "do you remember?"

"Yes, I remember when someone showed me the photo" Abellard replied happily.

"Is it possible ... Your memory is beginning to return?

"It seems so ...."

Both silent.

The difference is, Naeva is silent in anxiety, while Abellard is fascinated by the magical beautiful animal.

The longer, the more fireflies come out of hiding, approach the flowers and land on the wet grass.

"It's really amazing, I really like it. How about we go back in the winter? Those fireflies will definitely look beautiful on the snow!" Abellard exclaimed excitedly.

"The fireflies don't come out in winter, they hibernate"

"Oh yeah? So we can only see it in the summer?"

"That's it, between the end of spring and summer."

"After this summer they'll hibernate back?"

"No. They ... will die."

Abellard looked shocked.

"You mean?"

Naeva took a heavy breath, from her eyes was a look of sadness. His helper and loving soul felt bitter considering the beauty of the fate of the beautiful animal.

"The fireflies were only able to survive for less than a month. Therefore they take advantage of the opportunity of their lives to breed. Before dying they will leave the offspring of larvae. That larva is what's going to be a firefly in the next year."

"So the larval process is turned into a beautiful animal this takes up to a year?"

"Yes" answered Naeva.

The firefly reminded the girl of her fate. For so long harbored a sense in the man sitting beside him, but once they had the chance to unite, that feeling had to die.

"I don't want to be like a firefly!" gusar Abellard suddenly. It was as if their hearts were feeling the same way.

The man stepped in front of Naeva and looked at her deeply. "I don't want us to be apart after holding back my feelings for so long!"

Naeva threw her face the other way.

"We'll probably be like fireflies. You and I are different castes."

"Enough! You taught me not to look at caste!" ketus Abellard is full of emphasis.

"Yes, but this concerns your family. The undeniable will choose the prospective daughter-in-law of the upper nobility who is equivalent to the position of your family," said Naeva bitterly. His heart feels sore. The chest feels tight. But Naeta was not used to crying. Until the feeling of tightness is increasingly whack and make it stingy.

Abellard ducked down and touched Naeva's delicate arm. He asked the girl to stand facing him. Then his hand came down to hold both of Naeva's hands.

"I won't let that caste keep you away from me. I don't want to make promises and make you judge myself a seduction. But you know, I'm the kind of person who'll fight for my will. How could I not fight for my love?"

Naeva lowered her face. Her heart was pounding again, Naeva was afraid that her cheeks would turn red again.

Abellard is so close to him right now. The man's eyes may be able to clearly see the bead strands of his pliable eyes.

For a while the man continued to hold her hand and look at her deeply.

Naeva can only hold her breath. Feeling Abellard's gaze not moving a bit from her face.

"Let me guess. This jar is to fill some fireflies that will light our way home, right?" asked Abellard suddenly.

Unknowingly Naeva breathed a sigh of relief. Then nod.

"Let's get some!"

Abellard let go of the delicate hand and took the jar.

"I just wanted to kiss you. But, you're not gonna let it, are you?" abellard asked as he walked to the flowerbed.

Naeva's feet stepped up to hear it. His heart was pounding again. "L-yes," he answered.

"I could've stolen a kiss from you, because I wanted it so badly. But Emma once told me that your religion is very sacred and forbids touching between men and women before marriage. The ban makes love all the more sacred, and I totally agree."

His lips then smiled. He was so grateful, God predestined Abellard to lose her memory and stay with her for five months. So as to know the real person of Abellard, not the powerful and cruel Abellard.

***

The second day of their journey.

The sky began to be orange by the twilight light. The coachman said they would be there soon.

Naeva hugged the glass jar she had been carrying in her carriage since last night. No more fireflies in it. With Abellard he releases the magical beast, when Marc and several messengers find the two with their torches.

Naeva's heart was beating hard at this moment. Imagine how the Countess' reaction saw her coming.

Two hours later.

Naeva could hear the sound of the waves in the distance. The wind also seemed to blow hard, visible from the cover of the train that is kembis.

The girl opened the cover in front of her, and instantly a strong wind greeted her face. Warm and smells of salt.

Naeva narrowed her eyes.

Up ahead stood a magnificent castle with several tall towers and a sturdy fortress.

The castle was built right by the sea. But because the land is quite high and is about 20 meters from sea level, making the castle look like it is at the end of a cliff.

Naeva touched her chest. The castle amazed him. The castle, built with distinctive white French stone, looks contrasting in the blue sea water that runs behind it. The twilight light that bounced off the sea water, created a luster that made the castle as if it were covered in sparkling diamonds.

Shortly after, the train entered a large gate. The pace began to slow down, but it felt fast for Naeva who was increasingly tense.

The girl sighed amid her nervousness. Then close the front of the train.

Oh ....

He has finally arrived. It really is in Abellard's castle. He should have come six months ago with the status of a slave or mistress.

"We've arrived, M'mselle!" marc exclaimed as the wheels of the train had stopped turning.

"Yes, Marc. I'll be right down" answered Naeva with a racing heart.

His fingers that suddenly felt frozen kept squeezing each other nervously.

Naeva did not get out of her seat for a while, until the cover of the train was opened from the outside.

It was Abellard who opened. Her dark blue eyes stared warmly, as if wanting to envelop the girl with her protection.

"Come down, they'll bring your stuff."

Naeva saw some servants coming to greet and immediately picked up the items.

Slowly, he stuck his foot on the foot of the carriage stairs.

"Abellard ... Your castle .. is so amazing!" his sigh.

Abellard glanced at the building. But focus on Naeva.

"Yes, maybe it is like that. Are you still worried?"

Naeva looked at the man for a moment, then sighed.

"Yes, I'm sorry. I'm ... really worried."

"I'll always be around you no matter what."

Naeva heard Abellard's confident tone, and her words made the girl's heart relieved. Then he felt his left hand being grabbed by Abellard's sturdy hand, which then held him gently.

The girl stepped her feet on the marble floor with an increasingly timid heartbeat. His head lowered without daring to look around. However he could feel the gazes of the people they passed by as they entered the magnificent building.

Naeva accidentally changes clothes with her best dress just moments before they arrive. But he realized, the dress was still unfit for a woman who was held by a Count Abellard.

Dupon stepped in front as a guide, while Marc followed behind them.

"Bonjour, Mme Countess! I have brought home Monsieur Comte before you!" dupon exclaims firmly but respectfully.

Naeva's steps immediately stopped, as well as Abellard.

Spontaneous Naeva releases her hand from Abellard's grasp.

Fear, that's what dominates it right now. The countess would not like to see a poor girl touch her son.

But he could not help his curiosity to see the Countess, so Naeva ventured to raise her face.
