Bettor Mr. Nobles

Bettor Mr. Nobles
Chapter 40

"M'mselle, I feel .. there is a conspiracy behind this matter."

Naeva looked at Marc with a frowning forehead, curious as well as tense. Because he also felt the case was a hidden conspiracy.

"I saw the man who put down the poison. And that woman doesn't look like a waiter."

Naeva came straight to Marc and sat right in front of him. The girl's eyes looked excited.

"Did she wear a nice silk dress and jewelry?"

Marc scratched his nape while grimacing, "I didn't pay much attention to him, M'mselle. You know, I'm .. not used to watching women."

"Can you imagine what his face looks like?" naeva was very curious.

Marc is back. "But if I saw him, I would definitely know him."

Naeva breathed. His shoulder that had been straight and stiff, now looked down in disappointment.

"It's okay, once you're properly healed, we'll investigate."

Marc looked at the worried lady. She was actually afraid that Naeva would deal with such a dangerous matter. But this problem comes to them. Although they have never faced such a life-threatening scandal, they must be prepared.

"Are you still going to help her brother Amily?"

"Yes. I'll keep trying" he said. Naeva is truly pitying, imagining Amily's condition being lamented by the only sister who protected her all this time. "Oh Marc, what a pity on Amily. Perhaps she was being frightened to accompany her brother who was being punished," his sigh bitterly.

Naeva back pacing. "I can't stay here, Marc. I can't imagine Amily facing her alone. I have to go there to accompany her."

Marc sat straight up with an anxious look. "Don't M'mselle! You are traumatized by such punishment."

"I'm not traumatized. Just scared and uncomfortable. But right now there are people who are more scared than me. God willing I can, Marc." Naeva tried to convince Marc with her spirit. "You don't have to worry" the girl continued before leaving.

The dungeon, which had not been used for a long time, was again a frightening specter for the servants. They flocked to peek at the door leading to the basement. But none of them dared to go there.

Naeva stepped through the stone-walled passageway that felt downhill. The atmosphere was dimly lit because it was only lit by fire from a few small lights stuck on the wall.

Naeva's body immediately goosebumps, feeling the cold and moist air there.

Not far away, the girl saw Amily sitting curled up in front of a detention room.

"Amily!" naeva shouted while running over.

"Mlle Gaulle's. Why did you come here? It's so horrible in here." Amily looked at him worriedly.

"Amily, you're worried about me coming, while you've been here all alone since," Naeva crouched down before Amily with a sad look. Then keep it warm.

Amily's cry instantly broke on her shoulder.

"Mlle Gaulle, he .. he could no longer even cry out in pain. But not begging for mercy at all. My sister was so firm in her stance," wailed Amily with shaky shoulders.

Naeva's eyes turned to stare into the detention room.

Behind the bars, her brother Amily lay on his stomach on the floor.

"Oh my God, did your brother faint?"

"No M'mselle. He just fell asleep tired of enduring the pain. He slept so because his aching back was lashed."

Naeva immediately closed her eyes tightly, grieving and horrified at Amily's explanation.

"Oh God! This is so horrible!" He unknowingly spoke the name of God before Amily. But the girl did not respond to anything.

Slowly Naeva let go of her embrace. Then swept away the tears flowing down Amily's cheeks gently.

"I'm not gonna let this go, Amily ..." Naeva shook her head with teary eyes. "He should be treated immediately. How could they bear to let someone suffer like this?!" Tears were growing in his eyes. He really can't stand it.

With a chest that felt tight, the girl got up. He had to quickly treat the woman's wounds.

Amily looked at the golden-hearted beautiful girl before her with an anxious heart. What if Mlle Gaulle was expelled from the castle by the Countess for defending her brother?

But Naeva's move could no longer be held back. He stepped out of the basement.

The servants who were still clustered in front of the door looked at him with hostile gazes. They thought Naeva was rejoicing over the capture of the culprit who poisoned her food.

That girl doesn't care. He was used to the hostile attitude of the servants. Until he keeps walking to his destination.

Buk up!

He accidentally hit someone. Naeva still doesn't care. He stepped back with a heart that had been rounded by determination.

Then his arm was gently intercepted. "Naeva?"

Naeva's steps stopped immediately. That's Abellard's voice.

The girl immediately looked over.

"Oh, thank goodness you're here!" Naeva exclaimed with an unfriendly face. He looked at Abellard with eyes glistening furiously. "I want you to see the result of the punishment you gave that woman."

All the servants exclaimed in shock at how brave an ordinary girl rebuked a Count.

"Naeva, what's wrong with you?" Abellard frowned. "Did something bad happen to that woman?"

"Do you think someone who gets such a heavy sentence can still be said to have not experienced anything bad?!"

Abellard touched Naeva's arm gently. "Naeva, I really don't know. What punishment did the guards give? I ... I just told them to punish. I thought they just locked him up."

Naeva looked at Abellard disappointed. "You should first check the laws that apply in your castle!"

"I'm sorry ..." - Abellard was full of regrets. He no longer asked what punishment it was. Seeing Naeva's anger, of course his punishment caused the servant to be injured.

Abellard's blue eyes then turned to look at the servants. "I order someone to call the Doctor right now! And bring the wound medicine to the holding room!"

"Gratch the leaves of Serapih, it is very efficacious to treat wounds," said Naeva.

During her life in Wisteria Castle, Naeva and her servant family always tried to treat the sick with ingredients that nature produced. So that he knows what leaves can be medicine.

One more thing that Naeva always practiced, namely reading Surah Al Fatihah. He got his knowledge from his mother.

*** Slight sharing:

Why are hospitals in Mecca empty of patients? They do this when they are sick.

First: performing two rakaat prayers asking for healing to Allah SWT.

Second: reading the letter of Al Fatihah and other letters in the Quran and then blown into drinking water for them minimal.

If it does not heal, the next effort is, alms with the intention of being used as a way of healing the sick, and they multiply istigfar.

If after giving alms still does not bring healing, then they consume foods or drinks that are useful, such as honey or habbatussauda.

And the last effort is to go to the hospital. Subhanallah, sickness comes from God and God will give it its healing. ***

"Yes, get those leaves!" support Abellard with a firm tone.

The servants immediately dispersed and carried out the command of the Count. But their views on Naeva changed. No more hate. Now they are amazed at the ordinary girl that they have been ostracized.

"You see? It was this ordinary girl that Comte loved who cared about the lives of little people like us. He could guide the Count to become a good leader. We're so stupid, supporting Lady Angelia who only knows about jewelry and silk dresses."

"Yes, right. And we did bad to him. I feel guilty" another whispered.

Such whispers are then the topic of discussion of the servants while doing their duties.
