Maria rushed to meet Abellard with smiling lips.
"Monsieur Count, you awaited the Countess in the music room."
Abellard. Naeva, Marc, Anne and Edward.
"Waiting me?"
"Yes, there's something to talk to you about .. Mlle Gaulle's problem," Maria took a quick glance at Naeva.
Naeva felt tense. What will the Countess talk about now? Must be about the woman's decision about her whereabouts.
"Well I'll be there soon!" answer Abellard.
The man then looked at Naeva for a moment. As if to say that everything will be fine. Then his tall body moved up and followed Mary.
Naeva stared at Abellard's back. It didn't matter to him if he had to return to Wisteria Castle and face the danger of the assassin. What he was worried about was that Abellard would definitely not be allowed to come with him. Because the man was the only son and heir the Countess had.
"M'mselle, your lips are so dry, are you thirsty?" Anne's voice surprised her daydream.
Naeva grimacing.
"Yes, I .. hesitate to ask for water."
"Yes God! Let me get M'mselle's water!" exclaim Anne. "How can they make a guest thirsty?!" gerutu.
The girl walked up to a male servant and asked him where the kitchen was in the magnificent building. The man showed his direction with a friendly look.
Anne was relieved, although they were not very attentive to the guests, but they were able to be friendly. At the very least, her miss would not be too depressed.
At first glance, he saw Abellard in front of him entering a music room that was meant by Maria.
Anne kept walking through the room. The door looks open. At first glance Anne could see a luxurious room with musical equipment that she had never seen.
As soon as she entered the kitchen, Anne found several maids sitting together.
"Sorry, can someone deliver a little drink for my Miss in the sitting room?" ask the girl politely.
The maids looked at Anne for a moment, and then looked at each other with laughter and sneering at Anne.
Then they went back to talking while pretending to be busy themselves.
Anne bit her lips to receive the treatment of the women. Apparently, the female servant was acting haughty.
Anne's heart was immediately agitated, remembering how her lady would live in the middle of a cynical person like them.
The girl then brought her own drink. No matter the tail of the eyes that were watching him intently, it was as if they were afraid that he would steal in that magnificent castle.
He immediately left the kitchen after getting a teapot full of water for Naeva. But as soon as his steps passed through the music room, the girl's curiosity loomed. He wanted to know how the Countess responded to her.
Beside the door stood a statue of a woman in silk robes like the figure of an angel. Anne immediately stood behind the statue and sharpened her hearing.
"You have to trust me, Ma Fils! That girl is just using you! Try to think, why didn't he try to find out about you suddenly coming with a wounded body?! Unless he does know who you are and knows that you will bring him profit!"
He vaguely heard the Countess slandering her.
"But Naeva is not a girl who likes to make a profit, Mere!" bela Abellard's.
"Like it or not, the proof is that he gave you a false identity and made you stay in his castle until you felt familiar and indebted to him!"
Anne clasped a pot of drinks with an upset heart. Miss Naeva is not like that! He could not accept his lady being so maliciously slandered!
With an annoyed look, the girl continued her steps into the sitting room.
"You're carrying a full pot, Anne?" greet Naeva with a smile as Anne comes.
"Yes, M'mselle. We can keep it in the room" Anne replied.
His head was still thinking about the words of the Countess. He feared that Monsieur Comte would believe his mother's words and abandon Miss Naeva.
***
Almost midnight, Anne still could not close her eyes. He was allowed to spend the night in the castle of Marseille. The girl sleeps restlessly beside her sleeping lady.
Slowly he got up from the bed, so as not to disturb the madam.
He must meet Monsieur Comte now according to his plan!
In front of Abellard's bedroom door, Anne stood with her heart racing. His face looks so pale. The timid girl was determined to settle in the dimness for the sake of her beloved miss.
He felt alone in that big building. Because all the inhabitants of the castle have been asleep in a dream, except for the bodyguards who are guarding outside. Electric lights have been partially extinguished, so that the atmosphere of the castle is no longer bright.
With a trembling hand, afraid of getting caught by the maid or even the creepy Countess, Anne knocked on her door slowly.
Several times knocking, Anne finally heard the footsteps of people from inside who approached the door.
The door opened and Abellard stood with a sleepy face.
"Anne?" ask the man confused. "Why haven't you slept?"
"Ma-sorry Monsieur .. I ..." replied Anne stammered.
Abellard's sharpness suddenly turned worried.
"Did something happen to Naeva?" the panic.
"No, Monsieur! I ... I just want to say something!" sela Anne was nervous.
"Deliver what?" Abellard watched Anne's nervous movements. There must be something important. Otherwise, there's no way a scared, nervous girl like Anne would have met her in the middle of the night.
"Do we need to talk in the sitting room?" make Anne more relaxed.
"No need, Monsieur. I'll say it straight away."
Anne breathed for a moment. But his eyes still looked agitated.
"Actually ... actually M'mselle deliberately gave a false identity to you because M'mselle had fallen in love with you from the beginning he helped you ...."
Abellard.
The gallant man felt his body freeze upon hearing Anne's words. His breath seemed to be restrained by a sudden taste filling his chest.
"M'mselle is afraid, if you know your true identity, you will leave after recovery" Anne said.
Abellard gripped her sleeping robe until her hand muscles were clearly formed. The feeling suddenly exploded. What a wonderful feeling of happiness!
Imagine the face of Naeva who loved her.
Oh ... This is truly a miracle!
Her chest seemed to be filled with flowers, desires, longings, and beautiful waves that then traced all her nerves.
"That's all I want to say, Monsieur" Anne said. Then quickly turned around and left the man who was sculpting in the doorway of that room.
It seemed to be drifting, and with half a consciousness Abellard closed the door again. Walk slowly towards the bed and sit on the edge.
His hand, which was clutching a robe, now moved to squeezing the blanket.
It felt like he ran to meet Naeva and grabbed the girl into her arms as tightly as possible. Dividing that oversized sense of happiness inside his chest.
But he can't!
One sentence that suddenly flashed in his mind made that happiness seem to be forcibly snatched away.
Yep. He can't.
After his agreement with his mother. For Naeva's sake to be allowed to stay in this castle, she already accepted the terms of her mother. He had to return to being the former Count of Abellard of Marseille and stay away from Naeva.
