Blue Light

Blue Light
FOURTEEN

Lana is facing a very bad situation!! Probably the worst.

Being in a crowd with dozens more people, was a disaster for Lana.

Not everyone has a ghost attached to it, but with the growing number of people nearby, the chances of a ghost appearing multiply.

During this time, the spirits of the dead who are bound to humans, can only look at Lana from a distance or maybe follow her for a moment, because they can not be separated too far from the humans, even if they want to approach Lana.

But Lana of course knew they were actually very interested in approaching her.

But now he is locked among a crowd of people who are jostling. Any one of them may have a spirit attached to them. And the spirit will wake up soon.

The blue light would look like lanterns in their eyes, and the spirits would act exactly like moths looking at the light, swarming around without caring what the consequences would be on Lana.

Lana's body won't be able to bear it.

The last time Lana experienced it while working part-time at a baseball stadium. He still did not know what the consequences of his actions were of standing among thousands of spectators at sunset.

Hundreds of transparent shadows appeared, approaching him almost at the same time.

His body instantly felt like it was drowning in a sea of icy cold and frozen. Lana fell down without being able to move away from them.

Lana would have died from the cold if one of the guard officers had not seen her, deftly taking Lana away from the audience seat.

Lana survived that moment, even being allowed to go home quickly.

Lana doesn't want to repeat it.

According to his calculations, they would already be out of the field when the sun set.

He misunderstands Luke's words saying they will enjoy the fireworks after watching, Lana does not know if they will do it from the same place.

He also mistakenly thought about the time because of that damn lamp.

Lana knew the opera was going to end before sunset, so she thought there was still enough time to get out of it.

Lana enjoys the show too much so neglects to check the time.

You're stupid Lana! he swore in his heart.

Lana ignored the annoyed cry of someone she hit, and continued to advance against the current. He hears Luke's voice, but Lana doesn't have time to give an excuse, she'll take care of it later.

"Achh---!!"

"Didn't you have eyes?--Haaa" snapped someone who glanced at him fiercely before passing by.

Lana was not lucky, she hit the man earlier, but Lana instead bounced because of her smaller body size. He fell down.

"Lana--thank God!" a relieved cry sounded from behind, Luke managed to catch up with him.

As Luke helped her up, Lana's eyes looked in horror at how the red color was slowly disappearing from the sky.

"Oh--no"

Lana is still among the sea of people. It's even worse than before, because they're now stopping moving because the fireworks are about to start.

With a reflex Lana lowered her body, as from the corner of her eyes a transparent figure started popping up and surrounded her body.

They not only looked at her, but some of them, holding Lana's body without hesitation and rubbing her back and hands, sending an increasingly biting rush of coldness, on Lana's body.

"Don't!"

Lana pleaded softly. A pointless deed, for the only way out is to get away from the place.

Lana's body began to jolt violently, as it experienced an extreme drop in temperature all of a sudden.

His hands and feet were numb and he could no longer feel the pebble beneath his knees.

"Lana!!!" luke's panicked voice that shook his body, made Lana slightly able to open her eyes.

"Bab.bring.a..aakuu.per...gi!!" lana's blue mouth said it with great difficulty.

A second later, Lana could feel Luke's hand lift up her body.

"Surge..... I have to take her to the hospital!!" He could also hear Luke's exclamation driving away the crowd that was blocking his path.

Lana's body slowly warmed up as soon as they walked away from the crowd. Luke carried him running with all his might.

With her head attached to Luke's chest, Lana could hear the sound of heartbeats pounding and also her breath wheezing.

"Lana--you can't faint. I'll take you to the hospital soon!!"

"Sstop....!!" Lana can't let Luke take her to the hospital, they won't find anything wrong with her body.

Lana was relieved that Luke was following her, her footsteps began to slow down.

Luke slowly lowered and sat Lana down on the chair in front of the closed cafe.

The surrounding streets could be said to be empty, as everyone stepped aside to the side of the road where the scenery was not blocked by the building, to enjoy the fireworks.

"Your bodies are so cold, I have to take you to the hospital"

Luke began to busily rub Lana's still shivering hands. She also took off the coat she was wearing and snuck it at Lana.

Lana shook her head, rejecting Luke's offer, "I'll be fine for a while"

"No way, your lips are blue and your face is pale. You can't be okay" Luke continued to rub his hands.

His face clearly described his overwhelming worry.

"Lana's gonna be fine, dad. They couldn't hurt her anymore, don't worry too much" Lana's familiar voice made her look up.

"Diell, why are you here?" lana asked still stammered, shocked to see the figure of Diell behind Luke.

"Where do you know that name?! And what do you mean it's here?"

A heavy sound as sharp as a cold knife as if piercing Lana's ear, because all this time the voice always greeted her warmly.

Lana found Luke had already let go of his hand, and stood up while looking at him with a mixture of angry, hurt and confused faces.

"No!!! No!! It's impossible" a shocked shout came out from Lana's mouth.

Reality hits him like a train, fast and painful.

His eyes looked at Diell with nanar. Lana could see Diell's little hand clutching Luke's right hand.

"Your father is---"

Lana could not continue her sentence, and looked back at Luke who looked more and more scary because the frown on her forehead deepened.

"What did you say Lana? Who are you talking to?" luke's anger began to look unstoppable again.

Lana closed her mouth, only to realize that she said all those conversations out loud.

"A.k-I-I....." Lana stood up in panic to occupy her mind, she could not give a clever reason, and again the fact that the poor little girl was Luke's daughter, as if erasing her skills in making excuses.

Lana can't think of anything.

"Sorry.I'm sorry. I better go!"

With quick steps Lana ran towards the road. Luke, who had not expected, failed to catch Lana's hand.

"Wait !!!

"You can't just run away after saying that name. You have to explain it to me!!" Luke's screams drowned in the frenzy of tourists who walked back, after the fireworks show ended.

"Damn!!" Luke cursed with annoyance, as his pace to catch up with the running Lana, was also blocked by the huge crowd.

After painstakingly penetrating it, Lana's figure was already nowhere to be seen.

"You fool, Lana! You're so stupid" cried Lana, as soon as she was inside the house and closed the door.

Lana curses herself on the way home. He was lucky enough to get through the crowds of tourists on the road quite quickly. After reaching a fairly deserted road, Lana continued to run non-stop, all the way to her house.

Lana was relieved, the coldness because the ghosts that swarmed her did not last long. His body, which had been stiff, quickly warmed up, as if spurred by pure adrenaline as he ran home.

Lana's cry broke out with her scream earlier.

He felt stupid for calling Diell's name in front of Luke. He could see how Luke's cheerful face had turned scarred. And Lana can understand why.

Diell's death was a sad tragedy, and he rashly mentioned Diell's name before him.

"Lana, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" The sound and coldness of Aubrey could be felt by Lana.

But Lana can't explain anything. Lana bent her knees and buried her face there, continuing her regretful cries.

How could he do such a reckless deed?

But he had never seen Diell while with Luke at Merian, not once.

Fifteen nights there, Lana met Diell and Luke separately. And again he met Diell for the first time in Melina alone.

"Oh my God" Lana realized something.

Sometime after meeting Diell, he met Luke, not far from where he met Diell, in the hallway where Luke and his friend were arguing.

He should have realized this sooner. Lana swore again because of her stupidity.

Now what's he supposed to do? He may have run away, but sooner or later Luke will come asking for an explanation. And what's he supposed to say?

It is in Lana's mind how the family of Hans' daughter accuses her of being a liar and a deceiver. Luke would have behaved the same.

No sane person would believe his explanation.

I have to go!!

Lana got up from the floor, and ran towards her room, then did her usual ritual.

Passports, wallets, and important papers are all poured in a small, compact bag. Then he pulled the butut suitcase he had been carrying and began to fill it with a few pieces of clothes.

She doesn't have to carry everything, Lana can get other clothes in the recycling bin.

"Lana, where are you going? I beg you to calm down, explain it to me for a moment" Aubrey followed him upstairs and asked for an explanation.

Lana's movements halted for a moment, as Aubrey's coldness penetrated the bones of her right hand. Aubrey tried to stop the movement of her hand.

"I'm sorry, Aubrey. I've made a big mistake, and so I have to leave immediately. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have hurt her"

Lana's tears came down again, remembering how Luke's eyes looked at her angrily.

He also feels guilty for Aubrey for not being able to explain the truth.

Regardless of the coldness that was about to strike her, Lana hugged Aubrey's half-dense body tightly.

A grateful embrace, regret and pain, knowing she would never be able to meet Aubrey again. Lana could not hold back her tears.

"Oh. Why do you have to go? You can stay as long as you want. What's the matter"

With all her feelings, Aubrey returned Lana's embrace. Makes Lana's body shiver.

And Lana was so sorry to see Aubrey begin to shed tears. He doesn't like to make ghosts cry that well.

"Aubrey, enough!  lana's body wasn't that strong" Barnabas who had caught up, pulled Aubrey into a hug. And Aubrey continued to cry there.

"I'm sorry, and thank you for everything" Lana said as she bowed once more to Barnabas.

Barnabas continued to hug Aubrey, but he nodded his head in response to Lana's words.

After forcing a smile on Barnabas, Lana quickly pulled her bag and suitcase down. He must hurry.

BAGH!!!...BAGH!! BAGH!!

"Lana!! Open the door, I know you're inside. You have to explain everything to me!!"

The pounding of the door and also the sound of Luke's loud scream, echoed in the old house.

Lana dropped the suitcase and also the bag she had in her hand. He was late, Luke had already caught up.

Panicked, Lana looked around, looking for another way out.

But impossible, he could walk out the other door. But the only way he took to the street, was through the street in front of the house. Luke will see it.

"Lana!!" Luke again banged on the door and called out to him.

Lana walked back and forth in a frenzy. Don't know what to do.

If he opens the door it means having to explain everything to Luke. But what would he say?

KRAAAAKKKKK!!!! BHUUM!!

Lana looked on in horror, as the door of the old house was shattered by Luke's body.

Luke fell to his knees following the door, but he quickly got up and his eyes combed the room looking for Lana.

"Gosh, what's this about?"

Aubrey appears behind Lana, "Lukas?? Why is he here?? what is this Barnabas"

Aubrey's confused voice had no effect on Lana, as she was focused on Luke and the door was shattered.

"I'll fix it later, but you have to explain to me first where did you hear that name?"

Luke with wide steps approached Lana, who automatically retreated away from him.

The two of them stopped as Lana's back hit the wooden wall of the house. "Explain now!" Luke raised both his hands next to Lana's head, and looked her right in the eyes.

"Elmza!! What's the matter?"

Lana could hear Barnabas trying to find answers, by asking Diell, who was seen holding back tears behind Luke.

Diell shook his head, "Dad is suddenly angry at Lana, I don't know why" he quipped.

Lana shook her head loudly, she could not say anything, Luke would not believe it.

Lana kept her head down while looking for a way out with her eyes.

His eyes fell on the figure of Diell who was now crying in Aubrey's arms. What's he supposed to say?

"Does that headband mean you refuse? Don't expect you to dodge Lana. You have to explain right now!!"

BRAAKKKK!!!

Luke hit the wall with his palm.

"Lana!!" he nodded impatiently.

"Diell--Diell is everything to me. You have to explain this!" Luke's voice is now laden with desperate pleas.

But Lana's back to shakes.

"You can't do this to me, Lana!" Luke grabbed both of Lana's upper arms and shook the body slowly, trying to find an answer..

"Lana!!"

"I can't Luke!! I can't explain anything to you!!!"

Lana finally broke her silent attitude with a hysterical cry.

Desperate cries and panicked wails blurted out, leaving Luke aghast, and managed to make Luke relax his mind.

Realizing that he had done a little rough on Lana, Luke took off his hand.

"You h...kkkkkk" Luke's sentence stopped and turned into a giggling sound.

His body collapsed in front of Lana helplessly.

"Don't!!!!" lana screams, as soon as she sees what happened to Luke.

His nightmare with Aaron is back, Luke is struggling to breathe, in a blue light all around him.

"No!!! No!!"

"Take him off"

"Let go of my father!!" Lana's screams were mixed with Diell's voice, who was also worried about Luke's condition.

Without thinking, Lana slammed into Luke's body.

The cold that Lana had never felt, stung her entire body mercilessly. A cold that freezes every cell of his body in seconds.

The cold he felt earlier, when coming into contact with the spirits, was not comparable to what he was feeling right now. But Lana doesn't care.

"Please don't hurt him. I admit, I'm guilty of loving her, but I promise I won't see her again! I beg you to let him go" cried Lana, trying to help Luke breathe more easily by making a repelling motion with his hand.

Which of course does not produce anything, Lana's hand just touches the air.

"Lana!!"

Lana hears Barnabas' panicked call.

"Please help him, Barnabas!! Lukas won't be able to survive!!" Lana pleaded with a stamped voice.

Lana's cries and lamentations were heard more and more miserably.

Just as Lana's consciousness was at the tip of the horn, the attack suddenly stopped, and the blue light enveloping Luke disappeared.

"Hhhhhhh...." Lana struggles to breathe, as the oxygen rush back in with her breath.

Lana needs a few minutes to gather her strength.

Barnabas, Aubrey and Diell looked at him stunned without daring to move, afraid of what would happen if they tried to get close to him.

With her face still filled with tears, Lana shook Luke's body.

"Wake up!! Lukas, do you hear me?"

But Luke's body was still silent

"Luke, please wake up. I can't if I lose you too!"

Sedu sedan Lana again heard when he saw no reaction from Luke.

"Luke!!" repeat it while continuing to shake Luke's cold body

"Dad's alive!" diell's tiny voice jolted Lana, Diell had already returned next to Luke, and was holding his chest.

The words made Lana realize that she must call for help immediately. Lana fingered the bag of the jacket she was wearing and found a cell phone there.

With trembling hands Lana touched the phone screen, and waited for the answer across.

"Lana? It's surprise! You've never called me before" Neff's voice sounded cheerful, in stark contrast to Lana's still trying to stop the crying.

"Neff, help me" Lana said.

"Lana, where are you?"

A line of words from Lana, spoken sobbingly made Neff turn wary.

"In my house, please send an ambulance here"

Among her cries Lana managed to bring up the most important thing.

"All right, calm yourself down. Ambulance is coming in a few minutes! I'll be there too"

Neff, who had gotten used to emergencies, cut off the call. It was free for him to ask for an explanation to Lana who was panicking.

Hearing Neff's soothing voice, Lana's common sense grew stronger.

His hands touched Luke's neck and face to better confirm Diell's words. Lana was relieved when she could feel warm and also her pulse.

Lana then runs into the room, picks up her thickest blanket and wraps Luke's body like a cocoon to make sure it stays warm.

After doing that, Lana momentarily fell silent while staring at the body lying on the floor, and the pain came back to her heart.

He must keep his promise, he will leave and will never see Luke again.

"I'm sorry!" whispered Lana, then lowered her head and pressed her lips against Luke's lips.

Lana kissed those cold lips while her tears drenched Luke's cheeks.

"I love you"

After whispering it away feelingfully, Lana wakes up and grabs her suitcase and bag.

"You can't leave! Dad will be sad" Diell's tiny cold hand held him.

Her big eyes looked at Lana intently.

Lana shook her head violently, then jerked that hand regretfully, Lana slammed into the door and dashed out before her determination to leave collapsed hearing Diell's request.

"Lana, are you still going to leave without giving an explanation? Lana!"

Lana kept walking out of the house without caring for Aubrey and Diell's calls.

With eyes blurred as it filled with tears, Lana ran down the path that would lead her down the highway.

Lana glanced at Joan's house as she passed by. She'll make Joan sad too, but she won't have time to say goodbye. And Joan would never let him go.

"I'm sorry" Lana muttered, wiping away the rest of her tears with her sleeves.

She had to stop crying before it caught the attention of the person she met on the street.

You can do it, Lana, as usual. Lana's inner voice was encouraging. He will start a new life in another city, as usual.

Grindelwald has given her fond memories, and Lana will continue to keep them in her heart.
