Lukas goes down to the lobby and immediately sees the reason why Darla told him to come down quickly.
Joan is seen forcing one of the bellboys to ride calling her.
"Joan, Erich" Luke calls them to prevent violence. Joan can be very reckless if she wants to.
She's usually a gentle woman, but you don't want to be with her when she's in a state of flutter, like she is today. Joan walked with wide strides towards her, followed by an anxious-faced Erich.
"Where is Lana?" joan asked without further ado or hello, but this was the first time Luke had met Joan, for almost two years.
"Who's Lana?" Luke asked back in surprise.
Luke thinks Joan's here, because there's a problem with her farm. But he asked about people he didn't know.
"Lana, the woman you brought here!" Joan cried out impatiently.
Unaware of his words made all the hotel employees who were there, looking at him with interest. The news of Luke bringing women here is, of course, a warm news, well worth hearing.
"Lana? What do you mean is Solana?" ask Luke, in a quieter voice.
Luke finally understood, Joan must have known Solana because they were neighbors.
Joan nodded with satisfaction. "Why did you bring him here? What the hell is going on?"
Again, Joan asked without giving Luke a chance to answer.
Erich, realizing his wife was in a state of turmoil, put his right hand on his shoulder, Joan to calm down, and amazingly it worked.
Joan's breathing immediately slowed down, "I want to see Lana!" he still sounded demanding, but in a quieter voice.
"Come here, we can't talk about it in public!"
Luke invites the two of them back into the elevator. The office is located on the 3rd floor.
"What's really going on? Meier refused to explain anything to me. He said, you forbid him to tell anyone, just say you brought Lana"
Erich's hand touch effect had already disappeared once the elevator moved up. Joan returned impatiently and leaned on Luke with a question.
"Because I think that's the best thing. I don't want cheap gossip to spread about Solana. You know for yourself how quickly gossip spreads in the village. And the longer it takes, the more absurd the rumors will become"
Luke explains with thin lips. That regret was not without reason, he had once suffered just from some of those cheap gossip.
"Is that what he's doing?" this time it was Erich who asked, more calmly.
Luke nodded grimly. It was as bad as Solana was and she had to make them understand, in order to be able to behave properly if she met him later.
"But it's fine now?" Joan sat down on the couch as soon as they reached Luke's office.
And according to Luke it was better, they became far apart. Joan's hands can be very light if she's irritated. Being out of the reach of his hands, was the safest position.
Luke took a deep breath and dropped his body on the sofa that was in front of Joan, "He is fine according to the doctor, not seriously injured. His body is fine, but maybe not with his soul"
"What.." before Erich solved the question, Luke interrupted him.
"One of Melina's officers tried to rape Solana, two days ago" Luke said, gritting his teeth.
Joan screamed and jumped up from her seat.
"What?!! What did you say? Oh ... Oh God. Lana..?"
Joan flinched and walked back and forth in front of the sofa.
He was whining with a loud voice full of anger, before finally his tears came down and sobbed. Erich pulled her to a seat and Joan cried in Erich's arms.
"Who would do such a dirty deed? Lana--the girl won't be able to fight anyone. His body is thin dry"
Erich was slightly choked up while saying that, it was obvious that he was also holding back anger.
Lana may not talk much and is always clumsy.
But Erich and Joan knew, Lana was a good girl, as well as a hard worker. They both often praise how brave Lana is to live alone in the land of people, even though it seems clear she is not an easy person to get along with.
Lana was not the type of girl who could lure someone to do such a cruel deed.
"Petra" answered Luke in short. Because I don't want to add another word behind that name.
"I'll kill him!! Where is he now? I'll kill him!!" Joan rose with a tearful face and shouted at Luke demanding an answer.
"Maybe it will be difficult, because he is in the hospital. And the police are keeping it tight. You won't be able to get near him"
"Why is he in the hospital? And you said he tried?"
Erich, who was thinking more calmly, asked what Joan should have realized easily.
"What does this have to do with you?" Joan now asks another question, before Luke can answer Erich.
"I'll tell you the whole story"
Only then will they be satisfied and stop asking questions.
So the next few minutes Joan and Erich listened to Luke's story with serious faces.
"Oh my God, thank God..." Joan was immediately relieved to hear that Petra had not done that to Lana.
"Yes, but I think Solana's still very scared, she tried to attack me just now. I think his mind is still shaken" Lukas said.
"Of course, he doesn't know you. You may have helped him, but he's passed out and hasn't seen you" Joan said.
"We've met before in Melina, Joan. We talked long enough. He helped me when I needed a Spanish translator. He should have remembered me"
"Oh....Lana can speak Spanish? " Erich replied in amazement.
Lukas nodded.
"You heard it was Erich, I told you before, that she's a smart girl. I know that!" Joan replied with satisfaction when she heard that fact.
And Lukas agreed, Solana's eyes did look smart. And considering she's from America, she's in three languages, because she speaks German to her.
Luke himself ruled Germany, France and England.
But he would not count German and French as achievements, because the two languages were widely spoken in Grindelwald.
He acquired those skills in his daily life. But Lana lives in an America that only uses English, her achievements count as achievements.
"I want to see Lana!" Joan is back.
"Of course, but I beg you to keep what really happened to others a secret. I don't want Solana to be treated differently from the villagers just because of this incident. He has suffered enough. Right now who knows exactly about this, it's just me, Meier and the cops"
Lukas is worried about how the villagers will behave towards Solana if they find out.
Most will probably feel pity, and Luke doesn't mind this, but there will surely be some people with a strange mind-set, who will regard Solana as a cheap woman. This is what worries him the most.
"Marco, I think Marco knows too. Him
refused to meet me when I asked. He was obviously avoiding me, when we met this morning at the market" Erich said.
Luke nodded, maybe Meier told him. He knows Marco quite well, and knows Marco is not one of the big-mouthed. The secret will be safe with him.
"Solana's on the exclusive block, I'll drop you off" Luke said as he got up from his chair and led them out.
For a moment Joan and Erich looked on in wonder.
The exclusive block is the most expensive room in the resort, and Lukas is allowing it to be occupied for free?
That was a bit awkward, because the Luke they knew was very careful in taking profit and loss into account.
Luke may not be stingy because he always gives his employees bonuses with royal, but Luke almost never gives anything that does not produce reciprocity. This time, his actions were out of habit.

"Include my name Darla, and first, trust me, no one's gonna hurt you here"
The girl waved her hand stiffly. Lana could see that she was a little nervous.
Lana nodded while fixing her position. The bed he was sitting in was very soft, his body was not used to receiving such luxury.
"Where's this? How did I get here?" tanyakanya.
"Hmm. You're at Merian Resort, and for how you got here, I'm not too clear. I think the one who can explain that better is Luke"
"Merian Resort?? The Merian Resort?" exclaim Lana.
The name of the place made Lana doubt her ear's ability to hear.
Darla nodded again, she was aghast at Lana's scream. But the call made sense to Lana. Merian Resort was a place where he couldn't be.
Merian Resort is the most luxurious resort in Grindelwald.
He had seen the resort from a distance while walking around, and knew immediately that this was a place he would never be able to enter in his entire life.
Lana knew from Joan, to stay here overnight, it cost almost a thousand dollars. It was for ordinary rooms, Lana did not want to know what the most luxurious room here was worth.
How am I supposed to be here? Lana went back to asking that question in her heart.
"Who's Lukas?" Lana finally remembered the name called Darla earlier.
"Oh, he's my brother-in-law. He brought you here. After you. mmm I mean--" Darla's being misbehaved now.
Lana squeezed the blanket in her hands very tightly, preventing the crying and nausea from invading, and making her lose control.
You have to be strong Lana, this is nothing. You're gonna be fine! It's all over, you just have to forget it.
Lana sat down the sentence repeatedly as she continued to look towards the Eiger mountain that was in front of her.
Darla who saw Lana go silent for a long time, became guilty, was I too frontal in explaining it earlier? regret in the heart.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have offended that bad event" Darla said slowly.
"What's? Its alright. I'm fine, no need to apologize" Lana said with a cheerful smile.
Maybe the smile was a little forced, because her cheeks were now sore.
Darla shook her head, "You can't be okay. What he did to you---" Darla looks like she wants to curse, but hold him back.
She finally just shook her head while smiling at Lana. "It's better we don't discuss that further"
"I agree" Lana said with the same smile.
It's not Lana's nature to show her emotions to the average person.
"I'll call Luke, wait a minute"
Darla gets up to the door without waiting for Lana's answer, the sound of her shoes beating on the floor echoing in the spacious room. Of course, this luxurious room is larger than the living room of Lana's house.
Lana then heard Darla gasp as she opened the door.
"I'll just call you!" darla's voice sounded surprised.
Lana turned her head towards the door, but could not see clearly who was there, because of the location of the bed that was far away.
"Thank you for your help Darla" a firm and heavy voice echoed Darla's words.
Then there was the sound of feet galloping into her room, and it didn't take long for Lana to see who it was.
Joan, with a face full of tears slid towards the bed and hugged Lana tightly.
"Lana-Lana, are you okay? Oh, my God, how did this happen?" Joan sobbed while whispering her worries.
The rain of emotion from Joan, made Lana's defensive walls almost collapse.
This was the hardest time for him. Lana was eager to give up, and took off all the masks on her face, then welcomed the comfort and warm embrace given by Joan.
But that's impossible, though,
Lana again tightened her grip and smiled "I'm fine Joan. Stop crying!"
Joan took off her embrace and looked at Lana's face carefully.
Once again Lana tried so hard to smile, she could not make Joan cry. And Lana was relieved when Joan finally smiled and wiped away the rest of her tears.
"We're glad you're okay Lana" Erich finally approached, and rubbed Joan's back. He smiled at Lana with a concerned face. "You calm down, the depraved man will get a severe punishment" he continued.
Once again Lana's self-defense is tested, Petra's mention in the conversation makes her tremble. Lana had to hide her hands in a blanket so Joan wouldn't see them.
"Yes, I hope so too" Lana was finally able to make a sound and raised her face to look at Erich at a glance.
Then he saw if there was another person in the room. The man stood next to Erich and kept looking at him.
"Who--"
"You don't know him?" Joan cut the question.
Lana immediately shook her head while looking at the man once more. And Lana still can't recognize him.
"We met in Melina . You helped me translate a contract with my Spanish counterpart"
The man frowned, and looked annoyed that Lana had forgotten about him.
"Ow...really?"
For a moment Lana recalled the incident that had felt to her for a very long time. He remembered helping someone after meeting the spirit of the wet little girl.
But to be honest, Lana did not pay much attention to the faces of the two of them. His mind was busy thinking about the embarrassing incident in the bathroom that night.
"I'm sorry, but my memory was a little messed up that night. I remember helping someone, but I couldn't remember his face" Lana said, eventually giving up.
The man took a deep breath and approached the bed.
"I see, it doesn't matter anymore. I'm Lukas Merian, we haven't had a chance to meet that night"
The man extended his hand towards Lana.
Lana reflexively reached out her right hand, but then stopped her movement halfway through, as her hand was still shaking.
Lana watched the hand in surprise, she did not feel that her hand was still trembling.
Joan caught Lana's hand and held it tightly.
"Don't push yourself Lana, you just experienced something really terrible. You may feel fine, but it's impossible" Joan said.
"But I'm fine" Lana now starts to laugh amusedly, because Joan shouldn't be too worried.
Joan was about to say something, but Erich's hand on her shoulder made her stop.
"Stop that!"
Luke suddenly exclaimed at Lana, making her smile disappear.
"Stop what?" ask Lana wonder.
Luke did not answer, but he closed his eyes tightly while closing his mouth. Cancel whatever he wants to say.
"Oh, Darla said I had to ask you. How did I get here?"
Lana was finally able to ask what was bothering her.
"I found you in that hallway. The police and ambulance took you to the hospital. After all the business is done, I can't keep letting you stay in the hospital with that depraved man. I wanted to call your family so they could take you home, but Meier thinks you're living alone. I don't think it's a good idea to leave you alone when you realize. That's why I brought you here"
Lana tried to digest that long-shortened explanation.
"They're in the hospital?" Lana took great pains to mention that name.
This time he could feel his hands shivering, but he had already hidden them under the covers earlier.
"He had a heart attack and then fainted, I found you when he was half conscious. But maybe I knocked him out, 'cause I hit him once"
Luke sounded sorry.
"You should've smashed her face" Joan said fiercely.
"Joan!" Erich scolds Joan softly.
"I'd love to, unfortunately the police came too soon. I think they're a little too excited. This is the first criminal act after 5 years" Lukas said, smiling bitterly.
"Thank you, you saved me" Lana said, this time sincerely.
Luke shook his head, "You're very lucky, because Petra had a heart attack before she could do anything to you. I just found you guys"
Luke refused the thanks because he felt unworthy. After all, Lana survived because Petra had fallen ill.
"D-he hasn't done---?" lana's voice was slightly stammered as she said that.
"Yes Lana, she hasn't done it yet, but she has hurt your face" Joan rubbed a soft bruise on Lana's cheek.
"Good, that's good" Lana said as flat as possible.
Lana lowered her head to hide any emotions from the three people before her.
Joan sighed in annoyance knowing Lana shut herself down.
"Are you hungry, said Luke, you fainted for two days. You have to eat a lot"
Joan eventually shifted the discussion to a more neutral realm, so that the gloomy atmosphere was unsustainable.
Lukas walked over to the phone and called the room service to order food. But Lana didn't pay much attention to it.
"I'm fine, Joan" Lana smiled, once again trying to convince Joan. Because from earlier Joan's hand was incessantly rubbing Lana's cheeks, and also her back.
"I think we should let Lana rest" Erich said, "According to the doctor's orders" he added, seeing Joan want to argue.
Joan could finally take a deep breath, "Alright, but you have to promise to call me when you need something" she said, standing up, ready to leave.
"Eh-I also want to go home" said Lana, she already feels quite well.
"What kind of empty egg is that?" Luke immediately replied to the riled up. "You'll be here until you get back to normal"
"I'm normal!! And why do I have to be here? I can do it in my own house if I want to rest!" sergeant Lana, who was beginning to wonder.
Why does this man look so determined to keep him here?
"Because you're safer here. You live alone on a hill, and the police will come looking for you here anyway. They gave you permission to be here, and they'll also arrange when you can go" Luke argued.
The noisy tone of the phone calls, cut off Lana and Lukas' quarrel.
Erich nervously apologized immediately and stepped out toward the window answering the call.
"Police?" Lana asked more slowly, feeling that she was too emotional.
"Yes, they have to ask you for information, in order to make a claim on Petra"
Lana's question is cut once again by Erich who approaches back to the bed.
"Sorry Lana, but we have to get home soon. Tourists from Paris who booked a place have arrived"
Erich looked very sorry when he said that. Complaints also sounded from Joan's mouth.
"You go home, I'll be fine" Lana started to feel bad, as it hindered Joan and Erich's work.
Accompanied by a series of messages of comfort, and also a hug, Joan and Erich finally came out of Lana's room.
Leaving it with Luke in an awkward atmosphere. They were fighting with their mouths earlier. Actually Lana already felt defeated, she could not argue if Lukas carried the name of Police.
Lana finally resigned and leaned her back to the head of the bed.
"How long do I have to stay here?" Lana started to calculate in her head how much she should spend.
The savings have been slightly increased, but Lana is hesitant to be able to pay the bill for this room if you stay more than three days.
"A week, or maybe two. Until the doctor says you're healthy, and the police allow it" Lukas answered quickly
"WHAT!!"
Lana immediately felt this situation was very absurd, maybe she had to sell her house in order to pay all the bills later.
"It's gonna be very expensive! Can't the police put me in the usual hotel?" Lana tried to negotiate.
"What do you think of me? You don't have to pay a dime while you're here!" Luke said rudely, could no longer hide his anger.
Luke's words made Lana aware of something,
"Merian, are you Lukas Merian, owner of Merian Resort?" lana asked in amazement, again feeling stupid, for not realizing this from earlier.
His brain is working slowly.
"Yes, you won't take the bill for as long as you stay in this room"
"But why? You don't have to do all this----Mr. Merians"
Lana begins to understand and tries to be more polite.
After all, the man was the one who helped her, and had given this luxurious room away for free, but Lana had even invited him to argue.
"Luke, call me Luke, Solana. And what do you mean why? Of course because I want to help you"
"Lana, Lana's enough" Lana calls Luke automatically, because she still can't figure out why Lukas has done so far for her.
"Take this as a thank you for smoothing my contract with the Spaniard. You did the perfect job as translator, Lana"
Lukas has lowered his tone now, because Lana also seems to no longer want to argue.
Lana just nodded small with her face down. And thankfully, the awkward silence was broken by a knock on the door.
The room service officer delivered the meal to Lukas' order.
But Luke restrains the man at the door and brings himself the meal inside.
"Eat, and then rest. The doctor said that you can't do much" Lukas said as he placed a tray of food on the table.
"Thank you, for everything" Lana once again said sincerely as she stared at Luke's face for two seconds then sat back down.
Luke could only nod slowly. After saying a stiff saying, Luke finally came out of Lana's room.
