Blue Light

Blue Light
EPILOGUES

Winter in New York is not as bad as he thought, Luke can still feel the warm air when walking towards this building earlier.

But maybe he felt warm because of the number of students who were gathering. The campus is very busy, after a long year-end holiday.

But Luke is happy, the person he will meet is willing to take a moment, after knowing he came all the way from Switzerland.

"Please enter Mr. Merians. The lecture will soon be over, the Professor will meet you afterwards" said the blonde woman, who had greeted him.

The girl may be two or three years younger than Lana, Luke guesses she's a final-level student at this university.

The girl boldly glanced at Luke several times, and of course Luke understood what the purpose of the eye glance was.

But Luke did not respond, his hunting days were far behind.

Before long the figure he had been waiting for appeared from the door. Luke instantly recognized his pale gray eyes. He came to the right place.

"Professor Fayra?" greet Luke while extending a hand.

"Yes, and I'm sorry I forgot your name" the man greeted Luke's hand with a shy smile.

And again Luke could see the resemblance of Lana to her father. Their smiles are exactly the same.

"Let's talk inside"

Lana's father walks into her office, which Lukas immediately follows.

"I didn't know the design I was making got someone from a faraway place to be interested" she said, after putting her handbook to the table.

Luke knew, he had to say everything now.

So Luke pulled his card from his wallet and handed it to Lana's father.

"I'm sorry, because I've lied before. Introduce, I am Lukas Merian, as written in the card. I am a hotelier, but I did not come here to see the design of the building you made. I'm here to hand this over"

Luke pulls out his wedding invitation with Lana from inside the coat, which is again accepted by Lana's father with a confused face.

"What's this?"

"I'm getting married to Solana a week from now"

The room was silent as soon as Luke finished speaking.

Professor Fayra looks like a robot that was stopped by force, as his hand is still raised in the air receiving an invitation from Luke.

Those gray eyes blinked softly, looking at Luke in disbelief.

"Lana...Lana?" after successfully mastering himself, he was finally able to make a sound.

"Yes, Solana Fayra, your daughter. I hope you can come. It would be a lie to say that Lana expects you to come, because Lana doesn't know about me being here. This act is my own initiative"

Luke explains in detail.

And again, he only got a reply of silence.

After a few minutes without a word, Luke finally decided to leave. He grabbed the coat he had put on the chair. The goal has been achieved, even though it does not get the results it wants.

"Do you know about------"

Lana's father doesn't continue the sentence, but Luke doesn't need it to understand either.

"Of course, I know everything"

"And you believe it?" lana's father's voice was trembling a little now.

"It's hard, but I believe it and learn to accept it. I love everything Lana has"

Luke was a little awkward, as he was again left in silence. He finally decided to ask first

"Why don't you ever look for Lana after she ran away from home?"

Professor Fayra lost his composure after Luke asked that, his eyes wildly shifting to look at Luke and his surroundings.

Luke recognizes the behavior as guilt.

"Sorry, if my question is presumptuous, but you are the only Lana family left. Your abandonment hurt Lana a lot"

"I know, but what can I do? To believe all that nonsense is impossibility!"

Finally Luke got the rebuttal as he should have.

"Lana is your daughter, wouldn't it be natural that you should try harder to accept her special situation?"

Luke dislikes how he still calls Lana's abilities nonsense. Lana's father must have seen that blue light when his wife was attacked. The evidence was strong enough to accept the fact that Lana was telling the truth.

"You're really pretty sure about that"

Now he questions Luke's beliefs.

"You've seen that blue light come out of Lana's body, proof of what else you want?" That stubbornness reminded Luke of Lana.

Professor Fayra was beaming as Luke called out the blue light.

"You saw it too?" tanyanya doubt.

"Yes, very clearly, when I was almost killed by it. But at that time I probably deserved it"

"You almost got killed by her, and still want to marry her?" exclaims father Lana.

"Of course, because I chose to learn to understand Lana's circumstances, not leave her alone in loneliness. And I'm grateful for never wanting to ignore Lana"

Lana's father was silent again.

"If you want to try a little to believe in Lana, you will understand that everything that happens to your wife is an accident. Maybe all this time you blame Lana, even though she's completely innocent"

Luke says too many things, not his right to explain them to Lana's father. It was Lana's business with her father. But Luke couldn't bear to see his passive nature.

Luke finally stood up, there was nothing more he could say.

Lana's father had to think for himself what to do after this. He could not interfere any further.

"In the invitation, there are tickets for flights to Switzerland. If you decide to attend, I will be very happy"

Seeing no reaction from his interlocutor, Luke bowed his head in respect, "I'm sorry"

"You're just here to give me this invitation? Shouldn't you ask for your blessing before you give your invitation?"

If you don't remember who he was talking to, Luke might have cursed.

"sorry. I'll thank you for taking care of Lana until she's a teenager but the wounds you inflicted on Lana's heart make you no longer entitled to give us our blessing. " luke said in a cold low tone.

Profs. Fayra was flabbergasted at Luke's words, but did not refute, because everything Luke said was true.

Without bothering to say goodbye. Luke turned.

"Is Lana okay?" he asked, as Luke's hand touched the doorknob.

"I will easily answer yes. But why don't you see it for yourself? You can judge when you see it later"

After believing there would be no further questions, Lukas walked out of the room.

He could only wait until the moment his wedding day arrived, to know if his mission this time was a success or failure.

Of course he hoped it would work out, so Lana's excitement would be complete.

"Lana!!"

Aubrey comes back to him, when Lana shows up at his house again. Even the usually cold Barnabas smiled to see Lana back.

"You're fine, thank God you're okay. You left crying Lana. You worried me"

"I'm sorry. At that time, I had no other way"

"You have to explain everything or I'll be very angry" Aubrey threatened, with a trembling voice.

"Of course you can ask about anything, I'll answer it" Lana nodded honestly. He's gonna be frank with Aubrey.

Lana is now really sorry, as Aubrey begins to tear up. He must have been very agitated when Lana left Luke who was fainting.

"What about Luke?" ask Barnabas.

"I'm here for that too" Lana waved towards the door.

Luke entered with doubtful steps, his eyes glancing in all directions, behind him Neff, followed with a much more cautious attitude. He is still not as comfortable as Luke when involved with something related to ghosts.

"Oh-thank goodness she's healthy. Neff also looks much more handsome after his diet is successful"

Aubrey walked up to the two of them. Excitedly, he circled around Luke and Neff, who of course did not know about it. They were still looking timidly at the corners of the house.

"Dance!!" Barnabas exclaimed, as he saw the wet figure of Diellza creeping in behind his father.

"Grandfather!!' This time Diell hit his grandfather with joy. Their second meeting was quieter, with no drama as it used to be.

"Aubrey, Barnabas. Luke and Neff want to talk to you"

The two of them pitched Lana in confusion. "I'll be the intermediary" continued Lana.

"They know about your abilities and our whereabouts?" exciting Aubrey. "Yes, they know" said Lana.

"That's amazing. And they believe? Neff is so rational, he couldn't possibly believe things like that"

Aubrey looked at the two of them in amazement. And apparently he knows Neff well.

"According to Luke, Neff had a little trouble accepting it. But he has no doubt now" Lana replied.

Luke smiled at Lana's strange conversation, but from Lana's answer, he could guess what her grandparents were talking about. Neff nodded uncomfortably.

"Sit down, this conversation will be long" Gleefully Aubrey waved towards the sofa.

"Come-" Lana pointed to the sofa, taking the two of them to sit down.

"Oh-- whereas this morning was still fine as I sat on it" Lana looked at the hole in the old sofa in disappointment.

"Lana-age of this couch is older than me. It is natural that if it is broken, what is unnatural is your desire to keep it" Luke said patiently.

This is the umpteenth time Luke has to remind Lana of her already outrageous frugal lifestyle.

"Alright-we're sitting on the dining table" Lana said, but her eyes still glanced at the broken sofa unwillingly. If allowed by Luke, he still wants to fix it.

Neff precedes them sitting there.

Barbabas and Aubrey followed slowly. Barnabas still said nothing, he just looked at Luke and Neff alternately, as if he were composing the right sentence. While Diell had explored the house with the typical indifference of his children.

"Can you tell me where they are? I don't know which way to talk" Luke whispered. Meant to keep his request secret, which of course did not work, because Aubrey was right next to him.

Aubrey laughed crisply at Luke's words, "He always tried to be polite when he wanted to say something important. I wonder what he wants to say"

"Aubrey is right next to you, and Barnabas is next to Neff"

Neff immediately nodded away. But misdirected, he leaned closer to Barnabas.

Lana enjoyed their shock and helplessness with a crisp laugh. "Oh-Lukas, Aubrey is very curious now. He wants to know what you want to say"

"Eum..." Luke turned his head towards Aubrey, according to Lana's direction. This time his face was much more relaxed.

"First, I want to apologize for selling this house. I shouldn't have done it"

"Oh--Luke, you don't have to apologize. I know you did it to forget the memories of Ellza. You two spend a lot of time here" Aubrey said, stroking Luke's head fondly.

"But it should be rigid not to sell it for granted" said Barnabas, his mouth sharp as usual, but his head nodded in understanding.

Lana conveys Barnabas and Aubrey's answer to Luke as is.

Luke told Lana the reason she sold the house. Luke sold it because he wanted to forget all the memories that hurt him. Not only this house, he also sold the house he used to occupy with Anja.

Luke hopes to start a new chapter while doing so.

"I'm glad you look healthy and happy, especially you Luke. We look forward to the time when you will come to this house again. We want you to come back as cheerful as ever" Aubrey sobbed as she said.

He misses Luke and Neff. At this moment, Aubrey is trying to hug Luke, but of course Luke feels nothing.

Lana again spoke Aubrey's words, her eyes watering to see Aubrey moved.

"I'm sorry. This house has many memories of Diellza. I can't come without feeling broken" Luke said. He tried to smile, even though he looked miserable.

"I was nodding fondly-we understood" Aubrey glanced at Barnabas who looked up at the ceiling. He tried to hold back the tears.

Losing Diell was certainly also a heavy blow for the two of them. Especially Barnabas.

Lana could see, Barnabas eyes rarely separated from the figure of Diell who continued to walk around could not be silent.

"I also want to apologize, for visiting you so rarely, after Ellza-I couldn't comfort you back then-" Neff suddenly replied in a soft voice.

Lana's heart was getting fuller seeing that. Neff is usually cheerful and a little indifferent. But he looks really sorry. Her eyes are red.

"Don't be stupid Neff, we know you're busy. And again you're also in trouble with your father. I'm pretty glad you handled it well" said Aubrey, who also tried to stroke Neff's cheek.

Lana just said what Aubrey said, she didn't ask about Neff's father's problem, because it was their personal business.

A quiet atmosphere surrounded the dining room. Aubrey tried to calm herself down. Luke and Neff are the same. They took a few deep breaths.

"Oh-good news.I bought this house again. This house is now mine and I promise I will not sell it again" Luke said, in earnest. He's calmer.

"Oh-- why? Does that mean Lana will move on from Grindelwald?" Aubrey suddenly panicked, even Barnabas seemed unwilling.

Lana conveys Aubrey's question with a flushed cheek, knowing perfectly well what Luke's answer is.

"Don't worry, Lana will stay at Grindelwald. Because we're getting married in a few days" Luke said, grabbing Lana's hand and holding her warm.

"You what??" Barnabas and Aubrey cried out together.

"It's amazing-it's incredible" Aubrey immediately bounces like a balloon out of joy.

"I know something happened between you after that day. But I didn't know it was going to be this fast" Barnabas said. He asked on the day Luke lunged at the front door to speak to Lana.

"I love Lana, and Lana doesn't refuse either. So there's no point in waiting any longer" Lukas said.

"Goodbye" Aubrey hugged Lana tightly.

And Lana retorted, she lasted a little longer. But Lana is shocked, as Barnabas follows Aubrey in his arms. He's never done that before.

But the two spirits together were too heavy for Lana. It only took two minutes before Lana's body finally shivered.

"Sorry-forgive us" Aubrey again sobbed happily, moving away.

"Thank you for accepting Luke. And please make her happy" whispered Barnabas, before moving away.

"Surely" said Lana, wiping her tears.

"What did they say?" lukas asked him, puzzled that Lana had only answered briefly.

"Don't!!' isak Lana, grabbed Aubrey's hand that felt lighter.

Lana felt as Aubrey's body hugged her earlier. Aubrey's density is decreasing.

"I'm sorry we. But our desire is to see Lukas happy again in this house. And we can feel she's very happy Lana. He is happy because of you" said Barnabas.

"Don't go!!" Lana pleaded stupidly. He knew very well, their departure could not be prevented.

"Lana what's wrong?" Luke grabbed Lana who was now in tears.

"They're going?" Neff replied with a trembling voice. His hand rubbed the setets of water that escaped his eyes.

In Luke's arms, Lana nodded.

"No!! Why?----- We just met!" Luke was the same, his normally steady voice, now faltering..

"Their wish-is to meet you in this house" Lana tried to explain between her cries.

"Don't be sad, we'll be fine" Aubrey said as she hugged Luke and Lana together.

Not to forget he also hugged Neff, who looked down deeply hiding a cry.

Still in tears, Lana kept saying all of Aubrey's words.

"Ellza's? Are you coming with us?" barnabas asked while crouching in front of Diell.

Diell shakes. "I want to see you happier"

Lana felt a drop of water wash over her cheek, as Lana conveyed Diell's words. Luke's tears finally came down hearing Diell's determination.

"All right, sweet boy. Please take care of your father" Barnabas stroked Diell's head gently.

"We're leaving!" Aubrey stroked Lana's head once more, before her body decomposed in midair. Barnabas gave him a wave of hands one last time before disappearing.

Lana roared in Luke's chest as she could no longer see the two of them. Barnabas and Aubrey gave him a sense of home after ten years of lonely living. The two of them were a precious family to Lana, just like Hans.

"Lana, you know this has to happen. And it's better like this" Luke whispered. Trying to comfort Lana, despite her stingy voice, Luke was obviously grieving as well.

"Yes Lana, there's still me" Lana felt a chill stuck to her back. Diell hugged him from behind.

"Thank you" Lana wiped her tears, then turned to look at Diell with a smile. Lana didn't want to look sad in front of Diell.

"We better get home!" Neff did not wait for a response, he got up and walked towards the front door, which still gave off a new smell of paint.

"Come!' Luke pulled Lana up.

"I love you" whispered Lana.

"What's this?" Luke smiled hearing that.

"That's my way of comforting you. You always smile when I say it" said Lana.

"A very good way" said Lukas admitted it.

That smile was an automatic reaction, as Luke felt very happy every time he heard Lana's expression of love.

"Do we have to keep doing it during the day?" lukas asked, while pulling Lana's innocent body closer.

Lana who just wanted to wear clothes, had to cancel her intention.

He can only resign when Lukas returns to immerse him under the covers.

"Actually no, Diell prefers to venture out while we sleep.he once said, he would get bored if he kept looking at you while sleeping" Lana replied.

"And you just said that after I asked?"

Luke pinched Lana's cheek in a fit of anxiety.

Currently they are still vacationing in the Maldives as part of their honeymoon, but later if they return to Merian, **** daytime will be next to impossible.

Luke was very grateful, because after Diell's death, he lived his days like a priest. Luke couldn't have imagined that Diell was around him when he was 'doing it'.

But Lana's reply earlier relieved him. He just had to pretend to be asleep before.

"There are still a few hours to go before Lana sets" whispered Luke, who immediately made Lana bristle.

And of course Lukas had forgotten his determination to treat Lana gently, especially after knowing Lana was not as calm as he imagined.

Luke's hope is that Darla will give him more time for this holiday.
