Conscription in South Korea is a form of state defense and every citizen's support for national defense.

As the name implies, citizens who participate in the conscription program will serve the country by becoming military soldiers will serve the country by becoming military soldiers in a predetermined duration.

Military authorities analyzed that mobile phone users helped reduce depression. Therefore, in July 2022, the South Korean Defense Ministry officially decided that military soldiers are allowed to use mobile phones with restrictions on time and access to certain sites.
