Chapters. 31. Champion 1

Actually my heart is still overwhelmed with sadness for this morning, but of course I hide it because I do not want to break Leon's spirit.

I try to be a parent without any problems. I could see all around us, Leon's friend being accompanied by their parents except Leon.

"Dear spirit," I've been trying to turn Leon's eyes to his friends."There's dear Mommy" I whispered back as I wrapped my hands around Leon's body.

"Thank you Leon's beautiful Mom," Leon replied with a glittering face that made me gurgle to kiss her.

I was pampered in Leon's arms.

"Mom isn't that the master of the house we're occupying?" suddenly Leon's question made me let go of the hug and follow Leon's index finger.

Sure enough it was a figure of Alfred and who followed no longer wrong Andre.

I hissed because I didn't want to see them, what else Alfred. Shame, awkwardness of course haunts me.

"Allowed Mom?" Leon is still focused on them.

"Yes dear," I said briefly without looking straight ahead, I busied my gaze around the hall.

The series of events began from the word welcome, prayer and arrived at the event that was waiting for the singing competition from the PAUD/TK level.

"Mom, Leon's groggy," Leon's great-grandson.

I stroked Leon's hair and gave him a whisper of encouragement.

"We call participant number 30. Please come to the stage," the host invited.

"Dear spirit, dear" I said and did not forget to kiss Leon's cheek.

Leon advanced forward feeling relaxed and groggy as Leon had said. This was the first time for Leon to stand before the crowd.

"Good morning, Mr/Mother. My name is Leonardo of the great zero class. I'm going to sing a song of my own creation" Leon said, making everyone whisper to each other. Let alone anyone else I was shocked to hear that Leon would sing his own song. For whatever reason I don't know about it, when I asked Leon if he wanted to sing what always comes as a surprise. And today Leon gave that surprise to many people.

Applause welcomes the end of Leon's song. I shed tears of tears.

"That's amazing" praised the host.

Alfred and Andre applauded. Of course Andre feels proud while Alfred certainly does not want to be on the stamp of arrogance.

Now is the time to announce the PAUD/TK singing champion.

"Okay Mr/Mother we have chosen champions 3, 2, 1 according to the value of the judges who cannot be challenged. Champion 3 falls to our protege Maureen with a score of 1090 please advance to the stage along with our two protege parents. Champion 2 falls to our protege Darren with a score of 1207 please advance to the stage along with our two protege parents,"

There were two champions but Leon's name was not chosen.

"Darling as Leon is greatest to Mommy" I whispered to Leon, who now had a sad face.

"This is what we've been waiting for. These students are very potential and deserve to be the first champion. The melodious sound becomes a ples value. We call the first champion Leonardo, give a big round of applause,"

My breath was restrained for a moment when I heard Leon's name mentioned. Leon hugged me happily.

"Mom, Leon is the first champion" Leon said in my arms.

"Please step on stage and be joined by the parents of our student Leonardo" the call from the host ended our embrace.

Leon got up and pulled my hand, leading forward towards the stage.

"Very pretty,"

"Well, it's worth it that his handsome son turns out his Mommy is very pretty,"

"Where's Daddy?"

"As a girl,"

Such was the speech of the parents of the students until it was heard in the ears of Alfred and Andre. Hearing the compliment made Alfred's jaw harden.

"Sir does not want to accompany Leon and Miss?" andre's question made Alfred stare intently.

"You're kidding Andre? where's your common sense?" snapped Alfred.

"I'm sorry sir, my common sense....."

"Enough," Alfred coded with a finger so as to make Andre's lips clenched .

On the stage I stood elegantly. Before going to school, I changed my clothes. A white stripe shirt with a span skirt was my choice. Long hair accidentally in the booth with bangs.

"Thank you, teacher and teacher. This is the first trophy for Leon. Leon is very happy" Leon said.

I smiled at Leon's courage.

"Thank you Mom for the passion for Leon. Leon wants to say something, Mommy Abel is not Leon's biological parents. Leon is an orphan. Leon was adopted as a child by Mommy Abel" Leon said innocently.

My body froze at Leon's confession I never expected. My heart was tight to accept the confession because I really thought Leon was my own flesh and blood and did not want others to know Leon's identity but now my desire was as if destroyed by the confession of Leon himself.

Not only did I turn out Alfred and Andre were also shocked by Leon's confession in front of the crowd. Unconsciously Alfred's heart was filled to hear the name of an orphan.

"Oh," so everyone whispered but they saluted me for sincerely adopting Leon.

"Don't love Leon is Mommy's son and will always be Mommy's son" I said with teary eyes.

To celebrate Leon's victory I took the time to eat in an open-air cafe. I also invited Mr. Seun with his wife and Dea.

Seeing Leon's smile and laughter made my heart pinched at once remembering Alfred's choice this morning. How could I just let Leon go, me and Leon had just felt happiness but wanted to be forcefully snatched away.

"Darling why Leon told everyone about Leon's identity? Mommy did not expect. Does Leon doubt Mommy's affection?" I said with teary eyes in between eating the dishes we ordered.

Seeing the look on my sad face Leon then grabbed my hand and clasped it with his small palm.

"No Mom, sorry Leon has made Mommy sad," Leon's great-grandson seemed to hold back tears.

"Until any time Leon is Mommy's son," I immediately hugged Leon.

"Thanks you Mom. Leon love Mommy,"

I smiled at the touching words of Leon.

"Son Leon seems to have singing talent" said Mr. Seun because Dea showed the video when Leon performed on stage.

"But Leon doesn't want to be Kek's artist" Leon said.

"So what does Leon aspire to be?" ask Mr. Seun's wife.

"Want to be a CEO like Daddy-Daddy's friend Leon Nek" Leon replied innocently.

"Do you know what CEO is?" ask Dea.

Leon nodded because he didn't know.

"Honey the CEO is the leader or director of the company" I explained briefly.

"Oh means like the owner of the house, Mom?" leon remembers Alfred. I nodded in agreement because I honestly did not understand Alfred's position. Spelled assistant but exceeded the responsibility of an assistant.

"So to achieve that goal Leon must be active in learning," I said.

"Sure Mom," Leon replied.
