Part 24's. Seeking Allies
I returned to California just three days after a lucky break to see the investigators on the third day. They get people who fit the description and then they can handle it themselves. I only joined the second double interrogation of the shooter on the first day.
"You're back." Darren greets me now that I was in the office this morning.
"Yes Sir. It's settled. I can help out with the other case."
"I thought it would be a long time, but by leaving that note he made a mistake of his own. You're observant to see it in the first minute. " Darren gave me a compliment.
"Thank you Sir."
"Which other one is? I didn't see Alan and Mitchell?"
"They have a case in San Diego. Probably a serial killer. There are four cases with the same pattern."
"This morning comes an emergency request from San Diego, there's a madman who seems to be drinking the blood of his victims."
"Drink the blood of his victims?" Now I shudder in horror.
"Yes, it's a sadistic murder, I think a psychotic. I saw the TKP photo that was sent was very messed up. Request the contact data of the detective who asked for help to Hilda. Data has been sent all."
** Psychosis: A mental disorder characterized by detachment from reality. Psychosis can occur as a result of mental illness such as schizophrenia. In other cases, the condition may be caused by a health condition, medication, or drug use.
"Okay sir, I'll do it." I need to ask permission now. "Sir, I can take my cut for 2 days in two weeks, there's a wedding invitation from a friend in London."
"OKs. But you know if there's a sudden case that has to be dealt with immediately if we're short on people it could be your license to cancel."
"Understand Sir."
I managed to ask for a leave of absence. In two weeks I'll be in London. I sent Thomas my cut schedule. He quickly replied that he would send the ticket.
"You know that Dench paid his wife 10 million dollars to secure their divorce deal."
"really? It seems a small amount, his wife just got it.No use! The woman only earned 3 million dollars. I don't think she had the courage to threaten her mafia husband."
"Maybe you can work on it." Anna laughs.
"I fucked? Braking how?"
"Hmm.you know he's got a lot of dark accounts. You can blackmail him." Anna grimacing.
"That's a really good idea, why didn't I think of it." But if I do it myself it will be very risky. I need someone who is already a bastard*at to work on it. Who's got a fucking friend here.
"But you can't intervene directly you know that. You have to use someone else's hand."
"Yes. Who's the son of a bitch here who can help me." I was thinking who I knew.
"Antonio Morales's..." Ahhh yes, that handsome Morales, his specialty is the smuggling bastards from the border. He must have someone he can pay for his dirty work. He must be working with informants anyway. Anna mentions it because she is often asked to check their financial data, she has a good relationship with Anna.
"Ahh you're absolutely right. That handsome guy. I'll take her to dinner tonight."
"You have to be careful. He's a playboy." Anna reminded. I'm laughing now.
"I brought him money. He wouldn't dare mess with Anna's business partner. I'm not interested in any relationship with him anymore. I'm looking for him to give him money."
"I hope you're right."
