COLD REVENGE'S

COLD REVENGE'S
Part 39's. Distress Orders

"You're long in LA?"

"Not just a week actually. In three days I have to be in Chicago. Business is not Thomas's job."

"Ohh so."

"There's trouble?" This senior is serious about his work. He always tried to help the people below him.

"No, other than I'm afraid my work is revealed now. But like you said, I can't ignore the truth either, if like you said they need me to work together later. But I wouldn't suspect a double agent for this."

"Thomas will figure out how, after all, the DEA and FBI are different institutions." It should be so. Thomas wouldn't want to lose a valuable agent like me. "Robert he's not bothering you, is he?"

"No, it seems he still thinks I'm valuable. Until now he had only asked me once to go up to his apartment. I'm sure I can refuse. Besides, I can ask my friend Antonio for help as a fake girlfriend, so he doesn't bother."

"False boyfriend? Your friend seems so nice."

"Of course, I've given him a lot of benefits."

"What kind of advantage?" Shit I let go of talking. I froze for the right answer.

"Ehmm no .. He's just an old friend who can be relied upon. Old friend when I was in agent training I helped him a lot." I hope that answer satisfies Colin, but I even know that answer is not at all satisfactory.

"You're talking about profits, so don't lie."

"Nothing, only I used to help her a lot." I hope he's done it. I need to find another conversation soon. "Where do you live in LA?"

"You're even trying to switch the conversation?" He looked at me while driving. Damn why I could die this step.

"You're not the one who uses it that way, your brain is too smart for that. The way you say you gave him the advantage is clear about money. Tell you what, I'll report you to Thomas if you don't confess. Let him interrogate you himself. You don't dare talk because it has to do with Herron. You don't even dare talk to me."

I'm really cornered now.

"Colin. No.." - No..."

"Speak, or I'll talk to Thomas."

"There's nothing. I told you you were wrong. It's only because we've been friends for a long time and I've always helped her. There's nothing you don't suspect...." I insist I won't tell him now.

He was silent for a moment. But next I heard a more dire threat.

"If so, I'll make sure you're out of anything related to Herron. Even the news development. I'm not messing with my threats."

"You son of a bitch*at!" I scolded him with annoyance. "I told you there's nothing, sia*lan!"

"Thank you." He smiled, winning. "You're done, Thomas has threatened you you can't take any action without his consent. You're the dissident. I told him getting you involved in this operation would be too complicated a result."

"I didn't do anything! You're not..." He raised his hand coldly.

"I'm lazy to argue with you, shut up." He cut my words. "I'll make sure you get kicked out of this case. And this time there's no compromise."

This senior cannot be compromised. So sucks. How could he be so suspicious like this, when I only mentioned one word 'luck' but he was driving me everywhere.

What if he really‐ is serious about his threat. He even silenced me and refused to talk until now.
