Part 29's. The Casual Date 1
"If there's a problem call, we're a team now. Thomas is your boss. But I'll be your partner, as Thomas says don't try out of his control, otherwise he won't be able to save you if something goes wrong." One more person reminded me. This time with a different approach.
"Yes I know." I answered him short, actually when I left Antonio told me he had the right person to carry out his plan. He should have started by now.
"We'll meet again soon. You have dinner with me." Now he's trying to melt the mood with me.
"Yes. Of course, you have a business in the US?"
"I am a supplier of commercial boilers to the USA." Commercial boilers are room heaters used to scale buildings.
"Ohh really? Is that a real company? Or is it just kamulfase for intel?"
"It's a real company of course."
"Hmm.why would a company owner want to do intel work." He grimaced with my astonishment.
"It's a long story, maybe a moment I can tell it." We're just getting acquainted, there's no way she's that open to me. "You live in LA by yourself?"
"Yes, I don't have family in LA."
"You still like tailing your father's friend? You first met Thomas because you were trailing a man named Dench, weren't you?"
"No, last I was just curious about my neighbor's workplace, ending up meeting him. It was really an unexpected coincidence. But it turns out useful too. Oh, the first time I met Thomas wasn't when I met Dench. That's the second meeting."
"Be careful, I'm sure you have friends there. But if you're having trouble calling me, even if I'm in London, I can definitely arrange something for you."
"Yes thank you. It's good to have a reliable friend." He's kind-hearted too. Speaking of his nickname. Is she still single? "What age are you? You don't have a wife yet, Coldlin's name means you're single, right?" Now he's laughing.
"Yes. I'm 37, a lot of things happened I guess. Maybe wait for the right moment."
"Ahhh it turns out that the exact person already exists." I guessed again to find out.
"Why do you want to date me?" He asked but he laughed to himself with his question. "We're coworkers, we don't date each other. I'm just kidding." But I assume he's not kidding, I like the idea. It seems he will not disappoint.
"I don't want to date either. Too many emotions involved for a word dating. I think my life is still a lot of things that haven't been resolved." I threw my eyes at the path we were taking. How it feels to really love someone, I never let myself do it.
"Because vengeance is not comfortable with you."
"Yes, mostly."
"The revenge can destroy you."
"Not once have I heard that." I was tired of hearing Auntie say it. I see Colin now, and think Mr. Coldlin seems like the right person to date.
"I'm going on a date with you. But only tonight." He looked at me now, shocked by my candor.
"No." He grimaced and did not see me again. "No, we're not gonna have a date."
"Mr Coldlin. We were just friends last night, I'm not interested in having you, you can keep waiting for the right person and the right time. But I assure you I'm not the right person at all. We'll forget this in the morning. Let's just say I thank you for your generous assessment and your offer of help. I offered you." Anyway."
"You serious? Or are you making me some kind of psychological guinea pig?" I laugh.
"Come upstairs. I only have one requirement for this date?" I had my chin propped up and saw him without fear in his eyes. I'm serious about my offer, of course.
"Requirements ..."
"Don't kiss me." Prayer looked at me in wonder. I don't know what's on his mind. "When."
I know he's thinking hard now. Between ignoring the limits and thinking too long or maybe thinking he'll get into trouble about this.
