Julliane immediately approached Beckett who was drowning in the palace.

"What do you need here, Prince? It's not clear that I rejected you" Julliane said.

Beckett smiled obliquely. "I'm sorry it's not you I want to meet, Princess Julliane."

Beckett turned his gaze to the person behind Julliane. Julliane followed Beckett's point of view. There stood Ellaine who greeted Beckett.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Prince Beckett."

Julliane wondered why her sister wanted to see this one Prince. Beckett's true nature is terrible, but why is his sister still interested in Beckett?

"No problem. I didn't wait long, Princess Ellaine." Beckett glanced at Julliane smiling triumphantly.

Beckett thrust his arm at Ellaine. Ellaine embraces him leaving his older brother still sculpting.

This guy after I refused even approached my sister. I can't let this.

A few days earlier

Ellaine went to the capital with her sister. Her brother used to daydream at the jewelry store. Actually, he knows the reason. It has to do with Ian Constain. Her brother has been like that since the departure of Prince Constain. Despite that, in front of him and Edgar, Jullaine still often smiled to hide her feelings.

"Sir Juli is a little strange" said Ellaine, who was in her room with her bodyguard.

"really? I think Princess Julliane is fine" replied Carlos who accompanied Ellaine to tea.

Ellaine snorted in annoyance because Carlos did not care about her brother. "I'm just talking to you about this, Carlos. All you have in mind right now is practice."

Carlos was stunned because of his employer's remark. Sometimes he does not have time to pay attention to what his employer likes.

"I'm sorry, Princess." Carlos down.

Ellaine felt guilty seeing the sad Carlos. He felt the sadness of Carlos. The person he loves.

Ellaine has loved Carlos for a long time. Carlos is the same. This happened when Carlos caught the man who stole Ellaine's bracelet as a child.

Ellaine spent time in the capital accompanied by her bodyguards. Her sister wants to try a stove cake at a new restaurant. Her sister always compares the flavor of the stove cake in every restaurant to find the best.

When he was about to go home, a thief hit Ellaine and took her bracelet. The bracelet is worthless. Ellaine was about to let it go, but there was a boy chasing after the thief. Their body differences are quite far away. The boy could have been hurt. However, the boy manages to catch the thief and returns Ellaine's bracelet. Ellaine, flattered at the boy's actions, rewarded him.

The boy refused. He felt he did not deserve a prize. It just helps others. Moreover, now that he stinks, he does not want the noble in front of him to feel uncomfortable.

"You dare to refuse a gift from the Princess?" ask one of the guards who was upset at the boy's sassness.

Ellaime immediately approached him, telling the boy to stand up. "It's okay. What's yourname?"

The boy, even though he was standing, still lowered his head. "I'm Carlos, Princess."

"Your strength exceeds that of boys in general. Do you want to be a knight?" tawar Ellaine's.

Carlos immediately looked up to Ellaine. Before Carlos answered, the bodyguard interrupted. "Daughter don't give this child any hope. It must have been just a coincidence. He's gonna be a knight."

"We still don't know, sir. I want to give this kid a chance. How's Carlos?" Ellaine stared at the bodyguards and Carlos in turn.

"I would like to, Princess. I'll definitely be a strong man to protect you and the entire kingdom" Carlos said excitedly.

Ellaine was moved to hear that someone wanted to protect her. He chuckled because Carlos overestimated his words. All this time his bodyguards guarded him full of arrogance. Just because of escorting the Royal Princess, they felt like they were strong and respected. There was no intention to protect him earnestly. He hoped that one day Carlos would become his personal bodyguard.

Carlos continued to thank Ellaine for bringing him from this place. The life of begging on the streets does not need to be done anymore. The slums he lived in did not need him to go again. He promised to avenge all Ellaine's deeds by serving her. Even his life was willing to sacrifice.

Ellaine woke up from her daydream due to the knock on the door. It turned out that his father had come. Carlos immediately stood down, inviting the King to sit down.

"There's something I want to talk to you about, Ellaine," the King said firmly.

Ellaine realizes her father's intentions, asking Carlos to leave them alone. After Ellaine's bodyguards came out, the King stared while tightly grasping his son's hand.

"These are difficult times for the Kingdom, Ellaine. I want you to marry a noble immediately. I was hoping for Julliane at first. However, because she rarely mingles with others, Julliane rejects people who are beneficial to us. Only you can count on Ellaine."

This was the reason Ellaine kept burying her feelings for Carlos. They will never unite. The difference in status between them was simply too great. His father would not allow Ellaine to marry Carlos who came from the common people.

Ellaine nodded slowly. "Good, Dad."

Leroy thanked his daughter. He went on with his work. The reason Leroy didn't find out more about Ellaine's abduction was because it would cost the kingdom money. Moreover, the person who kidnapped his daughter has been caught and got a proper reply. Looking for a clever mastermind hiding is just a waste of time and money.

Inside the room, a tear dripped from Ellaine's eyes. Although he would not be happy, at least his family would be happy.

"What's the matter Princess?" Carlos who had just entered was shocked by the grief of his master. He approached her to wipe away Ellaine's tears

Ellaine turned her back to Carlos, shaking her head. "I'm fine. My eyes are just a twinkle, Carlos."

Carlos knows that his master is lying. There could not be any dust in a princess' room, but she had no intention of asking further. Once Ellaine covered something, she would not open her mouth even on Carlos once.

Ellaine continued to nod as long as Beckett spoke. No one got into his ear. However, as soon as Beckett asked to be fed, Ellaine was stunned. He glanced at Carlos who continued to look ahead.

'For her, I am just a princess who needs to be protected, nothing more, ' Ellaine's inner self.

Ellaine's hand grabbed the snack. He immediately put his hand to Beckett's mouth. His hands stopped seeing his sister running towards him.

"Sister Elle was quick, Sister Juli was wounded" Edgar said in a hurry.
