Chapter 42 The Flip Attack

The monster was different from other monsters. The monster has two heads, the left like a goat with pointed teeth while the right is a lion like its body. The tail is a snake. 

The three main candidates must unite forces to fight against this monster. And I was alone... No, I can't give up. The life of the palace is in my hands. It's all my fault that they didn't come because I was kicked out.

Julliane created a rope to silence the two monster heads. The monster squirms. His tail attacked Julliane. Carlos who had risen slashed the tail. Water protectors were created to protect Julliane's face from splashes of blood. Ellaine took refuge behind her brother with a limp.

"Don't stay away from me, Elle" Julliane said. 

"Okay, Sister Juli."

The rope on the lion's head came off. With a savage gaze the monster lunged towards them. Julliane made a whirlpool that slashed the monster's body. Carlos kept on guard by drawing out his sword.

The vortex of water disappeared leaving the body of the monster lying down. Julliane breathed a sigh of relief, while Ellaine fell down. They finally survived. 

"Sister Juli is great, thank you for saving me."

"It's nothing, Elle. Now go to the palace. This place isn't safe."

Ellaine nodded. Carlos held his master back. It was unexpected that the monster had not died. The claws were ready to pounce on them. By reflex, Julliane created a water protector.

However, the claws did not hit them. The monster growled in pain. The monster's gaze was sidetracked at the person who attacked it. A man drew his sword without fear. His eyes were extremely sharp, even though his body was filled with wounds. The scars on his face are beginning to show.

Ian's?

Ian glanced at Julliane then ran away from the monsters from the two princesses. Julliane turned to Carlos and Ellaine. 

"Hurry to the palace, before the monsters attack again."

Carlos nodded and ran over with hesitation. He circulated his gaze around so that his negligence was not repeated. Once at the palace Carlos put Ellaine down. 

"Help Juli, Carlos."

Carlos shook his head slowly. "The safety of the Princess is more important."

"Are you against my orders Carlos?" said Ellaine sharply. 

Carlos closed his eyes while gritting his teeth. He looked at Ellaine with sadness. 

"Hurry up, Carlos," orders Ellaine.

Carlos flinch, he worries which one to choose. The safety of his master or the command of his master.

The sound of footsteps approaching them. "Sister Elle, where's Sister Juli?" 

Edgar Daritadi took the people to take refuge in the palace while searching for his brothers. I am grateful to have met one of them. At least her brother survived.

"Sister Juli is fighting a monster. Help her, Ed," pinta Ellaine while holding Edgar's hand.

Edgar nodded. "Okay, Elle take good care of herself. You protect Elle." Edgar looked at Carlos for a while and then immediately looked for Julliane.

"Okay, Prince."

Ellaine turned towards Carlos. He was upset that Carlos obeyed Edgar more.

"Why don't you obey my orders, Carlos?" ask Ellaine growled.

"I'm sorry, Princess. My life belongs to the Princess. The order given to me is to protect the Princess. I'm ready to accept any punishment as long as you survive." Carlos looked at Ellaine closely.

All of Carlos's earnestness reached Ellaine's heart. His frustration began to fade. It was not wrong to choose a new bodyguard. The hopes of living with Carlos begin to take possession of him, but are soon thrown away. She's already engaged. 

Ellaine cupped both hands. He prayed for his brother and sister to return safely.

Ian's eyes began to blur. Utilizing Ian's negligence, the huge monster attacked. Ian dodged it but the monster claws managed to scratch his cheeks slightly. 

Little monsters started to hit him, Ian dodged and counterattacked them. Breathing gasps. He had difficulty maintaining his consciousness. 

The mouth of the huge monster approached Ian. Unable to move anymore, Ian laid down his life.

I'm sorry, Father, Mother, I can't seem to be King. I'm sorry Juli, my actions back then were so stupid.

The huge monster's body stopped. His four legs are tied. Both his heads were roaring. The huge monster shot up into the air enveloped by water bubbles. 

Julliane created a current within the bubble trying to crush the huge monster's body. Not wanting their leader to die, small monsters attacked Julliane. Julliane throws down a little bully. Ian pointed his sword at the monsters while protecting Julliane.

Not wanting to linger any longer, Julliane gathered her strength to destroy the body of a huge monster. The followers of the huge monster started to tremble. Julliane took advantage of the monsters' fears by eliminating them. 

Jullaine's eyes searched for the remaining monsters. Nothing, everything is dead. Julliane dropped herself to rest. Ian followed him. The sound of sighs of relief was heard. They both laughed.

"Why did you come here Ian, instead of not wanting to see me again?" goda Julliane turned her head to Ian.

"I'm worried about you. And forget our quarrels that day." Ian turned his face to look at Julliane.

Julliane. His hand cupped Ian's face while pointing him left and right. 

"How's this? Your handsome face is hurt." 

Ian blinked his eyes, not believing what he was hearing.

"I'm handsome?"

Julliane's face flushed red, she put Ian's head back. "You heard wrong, your face is ugly."

Ian chuckled softly. He got up smiling. Julliane was also interested in him just not being shown clearly. His wish to be forgiven was shining brighter.

"Have you forgiven me, Juli?"

"Yet" replied Julliane briefly.

"Aw.." ringis Ian.

Julliane immediately turned around again looking at Ian who was holding her face. He removed Ian's hand from the wound.

"Don't touch it later it will be an infection. It should be treated immediately so as not to cause scars. Do not use makeup to cover the wound that is still open, wait to heal first" Julliane said at length.

Ian laughed until he shed tears. His small wound need not be worried to that extent. Jullaine was annoyed that her attention was not heeded.

"As far as you go, I have to go back."

Julliane cleaned her dress, she headed for the palace. Ian stopped his laughter from following behind him. 

"Why are you following me, Ian?" julliane asked still continuing in her footsteps.

"I need a break. I didn't sleep because I kept driving the horse all the way here" Ian replied honestly.

"Well, I will prepare the room, after that you can return" replied Julliane ketus.

They arrived in front of the palace. Beckett, Kyler and Lionel gathered there along with Leroy and Edgar. A man curled up full of wounds. Ian gasped immediately at the man but was blocked by Kyler and Lionel. Beckett grinned towards Ian.

"What's up, Dad?" ask Julliane.

Leroy turned his sharp gaze at Ian while clenching his hands. "This monster attack was the Kingdom of the Constain."
