Several men began to approach Ellaine again since her brother left, most notably Beckett, Kyler and Lionel. They don't want to take off the golden opportunity of a departure from Julliane. Their wait paid off. Despite knowing that this second princess did not like their existence, these three main candidates still met Ellaine.
Carlos kept trying to hold himself back from exploding in front of them. To him the sweet greeting of the man who approached his master was nothing but a falsehood. There was something the men were hiding. His master knew this, but was silent. Not interested or refusing either.
He went to Ellaine's room and saw her master crying again. Almost at every meeting with the main character candidate Ellaine cried. Carlos could no longer bear to open his master's room.
Ellaine gasped at Carlos' arrival, wiping her tears. He did not ask Carlos to accompany him. Carlos just kept staring at Ellaine full of anger.
"Does the Princess like them?"
Ellaine's eyes widened to hear her bodyguard's no-nonsense speech. His attitude towards the man who met him was misunderstood by Carlos.
"I don't like them Carlos."
"Then why would the Princess still meet them? They don't really love the Princess either."
Ellaien was unable to answer. The matter of the government is a secret that should not be revealed to anyone easily. He tried to find an excuse, but nothing was right.
"They intend to use the Princess only. Prince Beckett wants to keep his position in his Kingdom by marrying a Princess. It was Duke Orsin who kidnapped the Princess at that time. He wanted to win the Princess's heart by trying to save the Princess, but his plan failed because of Princess Julliane and Prince Edgar. While Young Master Crowley's finances are in trouble, he covers it up with a life of luxury." Carlos put emphasis on every word.
Carlos heard these rumors from the waiter. Since the truth of this rumor is still in doubt, Carlos finds out while he is on leave. The rumors about them are true. He didn't want Ellaine to live with someone like them.
No words were spoken from Ellaine's mouth. Carlos shook his head while rubbing his face with both hands.
"Daughter knows?"
"Political marriages were common among Charles' nobles. Seeking each other's profit for both sides is reasonableness." Ellaine turned her face away, unable to see Carlos face. The sadness on Carlos' face was strong, when he saw it his heart would waver.
"What about the Princess's feelings? Will the Princess be happy?" Carlos' voice began to tremble.
Maybe one day his feelings for Carlos will change. Perhaps he could love one of the men who approached him. He held on to that hope. Hope that could collapse at any moment. Ellaine already knew the answer. He won't be happy.
Carlos gritted his teeth. He slammed the door hard. She could not let Ellaine suffer for a lifetime with her unloved one. When Ellaine lives happily with a loved one and loves him, Carlos is willing to let go. Carlos will erase his love of looking for another partner.
Carlos went back to his room. He wrote to Julliane. Ellaine must not have told her about the arrival of the men to the palace. If it was for sure Julliane would be here. Only Julliane can help Carlos to get Ellaine out of this strange situation. Carlos handed a letter to one of the servants.
When the waiter was about to send it out he did not accidentally collide with Rati. The Queen's eyes were fixed on Julliane's name written on the envelope.
"Did Julliane send a letter? Or was it from someone to Julliane?" ask Queen.
"This is a letter from Sir Carlos to the First Princess, the Queen," said the maid, looking down.
Bad thoughts begin to enter the queen's brain. Was his daughter in a relationship with a bodyguard? Is that why his daughter rejected many noble men?
The queen took the letter. "I will send it myself. You go back to work."
The waiter was farewell. The Queen's trembling hands opened the letter to her daughter. He tries to strengthen his heart at the worst possible. Allegedly wrong. It was about the ugliness of the man who approached Ellaine and the request that Julliane return to the palace. The queen stepped into her husband's study.
Leroy who was struggling with his documents looked up at the Queen. The queen thrust the paper at Leroy.
"Read."
Leroy read it slowly.
"What should we do, honey?" ask Queen.
Leroy ripped the paper. "Even if that's true, we can still take advantage of one of them. Ellaine could definitely survive and certainly the welfare of the Kingdom was more important. Julliane doesn't need to know about this."
The Queen approved her husband's words. The second daughter is a strong man. However, his little heart said. 'What if Ellaine suffers?'
The little voice of the heart was so small that it slowly disappeared.
