Chapter 59 The Relief

Letta kept thinking about what was lacking. Ian loves Julliane sincerely, even when he knows Julliane's curse is still there, he still loves her. There is no way people who only love the physical Julliane willing to travel long distances despite opposition by both parents.

"This is Julliane's last letter, you should read it."

Ian opened the letter. His eyes widened staring at the letter and Letta took turns.

"Don't joke! This is impossible!"

"That's Ian's truth."

"So all this time the one with me wasn't Julliane but someone else?"

Ian read the letter again. He did not want to misinterpret the meaning of the letter.

There is another letter that does not say the name of the sender or the recipient. However, Ian knew the letter was written by the same person.

Ian's tears washed over the letter. He threw it away, then groaned loudly. His groans are getting smoother. His eyes hopelessly looked at Letta.

"So even if it's safe, the person who will be by my side is not the person I love. It's not funny."

"Olivia has to live, Ian. Even though it's hard you have to let go."

"Whatever I have to choose, I still lose the person I love. I don't know what to do."

Ian's eyes widened looking, Letta's body disappearing slowly, he couldn't defend himself without the spirit summoner. Julliane's death is approaching.

"You know what's best for Olivia. I'll give you his fate" said Letta, who has disappeared.

Ian covered his angry face with both hands. Her tears kept flowing. Remembering their brief togetherness. Not all are good memories, they have misunderstood and quarreled. However, he is happy with Julliane.

The drastic change in Julliane's nature is not due to a curse but rather her body inhabited by other souls. Ian continued to regret not realizing it earlier. All along, the person she loved was Olivia not Julliane.

Ian clasped Julliane's hand tightly.

Then again he kissed Julliane's lips gently. "I love you, Olivia. Be happy in your world."

Olivia opened her eyes slowly while remembering the last time. He was in Julliane's room and fell asleep.

He spreads his gaze around. His body seemed to be floating around in the universe. A stranger approached him. The girl had tattoos all over her face.

"Julliane?" ask Olivia.

"It's nice to meet you, Olivia," Julliane said with a smile.

"Where is this?"

"Nature between life and death."

The stars around them turn into a series of video flashbacks of Julliane's life. Olivia watched all the videos. There were events that he did not recognize either his life as Julliane or in the novel Flower Palace.

"That's when I repeat my second life" Julliane said as if she knew what Olivia was thinking. She stared back at her marriage to Beckett.

"Second life?" ask Olivia not to understand.

"After my death in the novel you read, I met the Spirit King. He gave me a chance to repeat the time."

Julliane and Beckett's wedding video turned into a bloodbath. Yuvinere's family died horribly along with the knights who protected them. Olivia pointed to the video.

"That's..."

"That was the end of my second life. I kept getting close to Beckett hoping he loved me. I vilified Ellaine until she became Beckett's lover. But it turns out that he was only using me for the sake of rebellion. He doesn't love me sincerely." 

The video changes with Julliane's life in a luxurious residence. He hugged Kyler who had returned from a long journey. The young duke pushed Julliane to her knees despite both of them wearing the same wedding ring. Julliane shed tears holding her head in pain.

"That's my third life. There's more." Julliane shifted the video.

This time Julliane waited in her room for day and night, but no one came. He came out looking at his painting and Lionel was smiling. It turns out that all of that is just a lie. Julliane languished in the room until her death without being visited by Lionel even once.

"There is no true love, only conditional love. They married me for profit. For the sake of the army, fame and money," said Julliane lirih.

"What about Ian? Have you ever tried to approach her?" Olivia stared at Julliane.

"In my fifth life, I married Ian, but there was no love between us. He just pityes me, and I still feel guilty for him. My curse cannot be broken. And it ends up just like my other life."

Olivia is speechless to see Julliane's tragic life. He wept as he hugged Julliane, trying to take away the pain of the Cursed Princess.

"Thank you Olivia, I'm sorry I chose you."

Olivia took off her embrace, not understanding what Julliane was saying. "What do you mean?"

"I'm tired of repeating time. In my last life, I asked the King of Spirits to exchange myself for a person of pity to know my fate. I hope that person can change my fate. And she's you, Olivia."
