Cursed Daughter Looking for a Mate

Cursed Daughter Looking for a Mate
Chapter 55 Forced Back

"So, that's what you got Ian?" ask Julliane to make sure.

Ian confirmed. "That's what my informant said, Juli."

Julliane sighed softly. Ready-to-war troops, the supply of weapons and armor, mercenaries recruited and the amount of money spent for the sake of the war, is not news that Julliane wants to hear.

"I told you, this one Prince can't be relied upon, Sister Juli" said Edgar, who was next to Julliane.

Since Ellaine's marriage, Edgar continued to accompany his first brother when he met Ian. He did not want to let Julliane be alone with Ian, because it could be that the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of the Constain was taking away his first brother without saying anything.

"What do you have?" asked Ian annoyed.

"The Crown Prince of Lortamort Kingdom is now sickly. There will soon be another Crown Prince election. Prince Beckett will definitely return to his Kingdom" Edgar replied proudly.

"That doesn't help anything" Ian said sniffly.

Edgar and Ian looked fiercely. On the other hand, Julliane processed the information she got. Troops, sickly Crown Prince, Crown Prince selection, engagement.

Don't-don't...

"Sister Juli, let's just go home, don't get close to him anymore." Edgar pulled Julliane's right arm.

"Don't listen to him, July," Ian whined at Julliane's left hand.

"Sir Juli."

"July."

"Be quiet you two! I was thinking!" shout Julliane.

The two hands that were gripping Julliane's hand dropped rapidly. Julliane's sharp gaze was on Edgar.

"Why do you antagonize Ian when with Carlos you're ordinary!" nagel Julliane.

Edgar bowed slowly, a small laugh coming out of Ian's mouth.

Julliane's frustration was not over, she turned towards Ian. "And you, stop acting like a child, Ian! You're older than Ed, but you're pretty much the same!"

Ian's laughter instantly turned into disappointment. The two men fell silent to Julliane's anger.

Julliane gasps to calm herself down. His head feels dizzy. These few days the headache goes away, goes away for no apparent reason. He did not miss meals, although he was still depressed due to his imminent marriage.

"Are you okay, Juli?" ian asked worriedly seeing Julliane's countenance turn pain-free. Edgar was also worried suddenly his brother pressed his temple.

"It's okay, I have to go home and write a letter to Beckett. Tomorrow I will end my engagement" replied Julliane trying to look strong.

"Alright, just rest in the palace" Ian said. Edgar thought the same.

Ian led Julliane to the carriage, clasping the first princess' hand tightly. His eyes radiated a spotlight not wanting to part with that adoration of his heart. However, he was able to harbour his selfishness temporarily for the sake of Julliane.

"I'll be waiting for you tomorrow for your good news here, July," Ian stared fixedly at Julliane.

Julliane smiled at her tired smile. "Just calm down, I'll make sure that one prince doesn't dare to come here anymore."

Without any prior warning, something soft landed on Julliane's forehead. Julliane's eyes widened, Ian peeked at her forehead. His headache began to disappear replaced with emptiness.

"Tomorrow I'll make sure it sticks somewhere else" Ian teased.

Julliane's ears are reddened. He immediately boarded the horse carriage without saying anything. Edgar follows Julliane while warning Ian with body language.

Julliane's carriage was getting away. Ian continued to look at her while continuing to smile, impatiently waiting for tomorrow. He turned around, his smile turning into fear.

"Dad, Mother?"

The king who was standing next to his wife approached Ian with great wrath.

"Your actions this time do not reflect the behavior of the Crown Prince, Ian!"

"I know you're drunk on love, but I can't believe you dared to cheat on Mom and Dad, Ian" she said.

"But that does not justify all your actions at all!" The king raised his voice. This was the first time he was disappointed in his son.

"Take it easy, honey. Let's just go home, including you, Ian," the Queen ordered.

"But-"

The king interrupted Ian full of annoyance. "Otherwise!"

"Before I go home I want to see Julliane one last time. I promise I won't run, Dad and Mom can watch me from a distance" Ian said.

The King and Queen looked at each other, then nodded at the same time.

"Alright," replied the Queen coldly.

Ian heaved a sigh of relief even if it was only half. In the Royal palace of the Constain he would be showered with lectures for several days.

'Sorry July, I can't see you tomorrow.'

Ian had been at the palace gate waiting for Julliane to come. He wears a hood so that it is not recognized even though it looks suspicious. However, the one who came was a blond, green-eyed man.

Edgar looked at Ian suspiciously. As soon as he heard his first brother's friend wanted to meet from the palace gatekeeper, Edgar's irritation arose. Already knew Julliane was tired instead wanted to ruin her brother's rest time. Edgar meets Ian in his brother's place.

"Do you want to come here, Prince Ian?"

"Where is Juli?"

"He was sleeping. Your business is done, isn't it? Now go."

Ian turned towards his father and mother's waiting carriage full of annoyance. Not wanting to add to their anger anymore because for too long, Ian immediately conveyed his needs and a letter was handed to Edgar.

"Tell me in July, tomorrow there's no need to come. My mom and dad came to take me home. The rest is in this letter. Then take care of Juli, as long as I'm not around."

Edgar realized Ian's sincerity. Ian's message was well received and will be delivered to Julliane.

"Well, this time, it's for Kak Juli not for you."

"Thank you, Edgar."

Ian looked up at Yuvinere's palace, hoping to see Julliane again.

Julliane Yuvinere

Sorry I had to leave so suddenly. My mom and dad came. Looks like we'll have to wait again. But this time it will be very difficult. My longing grows every time we part, July.

So rather than my heart keep wanting to scream. I'll just say it now. I have so much to say but my father and mother are waiting for me to write this letter. One sentence is enough. I'll say it again when I see you. Not just at that time, but every day.

I love you Julliane.

^^^People who love you.^^^

^^^Ian Constain.^^^

A tear ran down Julliane's cheek.

Why am I crying? I should be happy, right?

Not being able to see Ian and himself being replaced by the real Julliane left his heart torn to shreds. The one who will hear Ian's love speech every day is the real Julliane. The one who will live with Ian forever is the real Julliane. There is no place for him.

Julliane's cheeks are getting wet, she hiccups. He kept beating his chest to shackle his overflowing feelings.

The throbbing in his head was unbearable. With great effort, Julliane wrote a new letter that would be delivered with her farewell letter. He hugged the letters tightly.

I'm sorry Ian. Ii'm sorry...
