The Royal Family searched for Ellaine who disappeared from the palace. The person who first reported Ellaine's disappearance was a guest who wanted to meet this second daughter, Beckett. Had waited a long time and the person he wanted to meet did not come, he reported to the King. Beckett was intent on helping but he had other affairs, so only Leroy and his wife were looking for his second daughter throughout the palace.
Julliane, who had been watching Beckett herself in the park, began to panic. At first he thought Ellaine was hiding somewhere because she didn't want to meet Beckett, but her guess was wrong. His sister was not found anywhere. Edgar was afraid something would happen to his brother.
The one who knew of Ellaine's figure last time was the palace's gatekeeper. They informed the Royal Family of the Second Princess' departure to the forest. The King and Queen looked frightened looking at the direction the rangers were pointing at. They rushed into the forest looking for Ellaine. Jullaine and Edgar follow the King and Queen.
Somewhere else.
Carlos and Ellaine arrive at a lake near the palace. This lake is bluish green, seen some plants adorn the edge of the lake. With the sunlight the sparkle of the lake is more charming.
Ellaine was amazed to see this beauty. He did not know that around the palace there was a lake. Still enjoying the view in front of him, Ellaine did not realize Carlos was looking for something.
There is a boat on the side of the lake. The boat looks dirty but can still be used. Carlos cleaned it first and then drove the boat to the surface of the lake to make sure the boat was not hollow. There was no water on the inside of the boat. This boat can be used up to the middle of the lake.
"Will the Princess take a boat? I've made sure everything is safe" Carlos said, extending a hand.
Ellaine nodded realizing Carlos was in front of her eyes. He looked at Carlos' hands and the boat in turn. He smiled as he grabbed the hand of his bodyguard. "I want to, Carlos."
Ellaine got into the boat with Carlos. He was a little frightened due to the unstable balance of the boat. Carlos tried to calm his master while stepping foot into the boat. Carlos' free hand gently touched Ellaine's back to help her sit up. Ellaine's heart was pounding. Their bodies are very close. He did not dare to look at Carlos for fear that his feelings were clearly painted on his face. Ellaine kept her head down until Carlos started paddling. Head slowly raised. Now they have reached the middle of the lake.
"According to the Princess how is the view of this lake?" carlos asked still paddling.
"Very beautiful and reassuring. How do you know this place is Carlos?" Ellaine circulated the view around the lake. This beautiful scenery he will not forget for a lifetime especially with Carlos.
"When I first came to the Princess' palace, I got lost and found this lake, Princess."
Ellaine's hand caressed the surface of the lake. His hand touched the greenery floating in the lake. His smile continued to widen. All the fatigue he felt was completely gone.
'It feels cool and pleasant, ' inner Ellaine.
Carlos continued to observe Ellaine with a smile. If the master is happy, he is happy too. Silence was between the two of them. But this silence was not at all awkward. They both enjoyed this calming moment.
"Allaine! Ellaine! Ellaine!"
The screams calling out Ellaine's name broke the two of them together. It's time for them to come back. But none of them wanted to go back to the palace. Carlos immediately paddled towards the edge of the lake.
The figure of the King emerged from the forest followed by the Queen and her children. Julliane and Edgar breathed a sigh of relief as their sister met. Concerns were raised from the Queen's eyes. The king looks angry.
'Either why this lake is no stranger, ' Julliane's inner.
Shortly after Ellaine and Charles disembarked, the King immediately threw his hand at his daughter's bodyguard. His shock caused Carlos to take a few steps back.
"How dare you bring my daughter here!" shout Leroy.
"I'm sorry, Your Majesty." Carlos lowered his head deeply without caring about the pain in his cheek.
When Leroy was about to slap Carlos again, Ellaine blocked him. "Stop, Dad it's my fault. I'm the one who asked Carlos to bring me here." This was the first time Ellaine had seen her father this angry.
Leroy took off his daughter's hand. He clutched his neck to calm himself. "Are you crazy Ellaine? If you know the truth of this lake, you will not dare to go to this cursed place. There's been a dead man here."
Dead men? This lake is not the place where the Spirit King's friend died.
Stingers hit Julliane's head. He pressed his temple to endure the pain.
"I'm sorry, Dad." Ellaine. Tears began to fill his eyes.
"Sir Juli, are you okay?" ask Edgar.
The whole view was on Jullaine. Face paled. Julliane tried to look strong with a smile. "I'm fine, Ed. Maybe because my head is getting hot, it's getting dizzy."
"You see, no, this careless act of yours is causing your brother pain. We're all worried and looking everywhere for you, but you're having fun here without knowing any danger" Leroy said.
Tears that Ellaine tried to hold back from before being held by Ellaine began to wet her cheeks. Guilt gnawed at his heart.
Carlos wanted to interrupt, he could not bear to see Ellaine constantly being scolded. The idea of coming to this lake without knowing the rumour in it was from Carlos. The one who took Ellaine away was Carlos. It is not appropriate for his master to protect himself. When Carlos was about to say a word, Julliane made a sound first.
"It's not Elle's fault, Dad. My body is weak. Don't scold him in front of a crowd." Jullaine steps in between her sister and her father. His head no longer hurts.
The king took advantage of my situation to aggravate Ellaine's guilt. This is not true.
Leroy regulated his breathing. Then he turned around. "Oh, let's go back. Ellaine's met anyway."
Leroy set foot into the palace, followed by Edgar. The queen took Julliane to lead her to the palace. Although Julliane's face was refreshed, she was still worried. Before walking, Jullaine turned her head to Ellaine. "Don't blame yourself, Elle. It's nobody's fault."
"Thank you, Sister Juli." Ellaine was still lowered, her hands constantly wiping away the tears.
The Queen and Julliane started to step up. Ellaine didn't move from there. Carlos patted his master's back to calm him down. Ellaine immersed her face into the chest of her bodyguards in search of a deeper sense of calm. Carlos gasps. His arms tightened the embrace to Ellaine's body.
"I'm sorry, my Princess, I shouldn't have brought you here."
"No, as Kak Juli said it's not anyone's fault Carlos. I'm glad to see the beauty here for just a minute."
Ellaine looked up at Carlos. Carlos wiped the tears on Ellaine's cheek. Ellaine smiled, Carlos attention eroding her sadness.
Ellaine took off Carlos embrace and turned around. "Let's go back to Carlos' palace."
"Okay, Princess."
Carlos walked behind Ellaine. He wanted to get Ellaine to escape. Not just today, but for the next few days. He wanted to get Ellaine out of the palace and live with her. But that is just his hope.
Carlos was afraid that Ellaine would be unhappy with living with him. The luxury that Ellaine had always felt from birth would turn into simplicity. No more waiters or pretty dresses. Slum houses will replace palaces that are full of beautiful decorations.
Carlos will be happy to see Ellaine happy. Although maybe Ellaine's happiness isn't with her.
