“*Sometimes we need to lend a hand to ask others for help. Not always we are strong in facing problems. Share, if it can ease your pain.” (Mrs Boss)
🍃🍃🍃*
Time went on, and minutes passed. Despite thinking hard, Dika still could not find a solution. How could he give Kinara happiness while keeping Allen's honor.
Dika is currently in his office. The Grissham and Caitlin families are waiting, what final decision Dika takes. Agra was still not contacted. Ken gave orders to some of his men to search for Agra's whereabouts. When Ken goes to the hotel, the place where Agra and Kinara meet. Both are no longer there. They leave shortly after Ken and Dika leave the hotel.
Dika gasped as soon as he heard a knock on the door. He knew who the voice belonged to, he ran to reach the doorknob.
“Good afternoon, Dika.”
Agra was already standing in front of him with a fluffy smile, but her eyes were dim. He raised his hand to greet Dika.
“Why are you here?”
“Why? Can't I be here?”
“Come.” Permit entry.
“Do I need to make an appointment first?”
The two of them sat in their chairs, facing each other.
“It should be. I'm an important person, it's not that easy to meet me.”
Both giggle.
The two men stared at each other. As if wanting to know each other's situation through the eyes. Highlight Dika's eyes were full of anxiety while Agra's eyes were full of sadness. They both suffered differently, but were caused by the same person. Kinara's.
I felt something strange. Agra should be happy right now, but her eyes said something else.
“How was your meeting with Kinara?”
“Current.” Agra smile. “Berkatmu. Me and Kinara can meet, thank you, Bro!”
Again Dika did not find happiness from the sentence that Agra said. It was as if his heart was experiencing deep sadness.
“What are you and Kinara ..” Dika hangs his sentence. Why did he ask something that was clearly the answer. Dika could only swallow his saliva and regulate his breathing.
“I heard you postponed the press conference?”
Dika nodded. “Yes, but I didn't mean to get in your way, Agra. Something happened beyond my expectations. I just need a little longer to think.”
“What all this has to do with Allen's pride?” Agra guess.
“Kua know? Did you hear that from Ken?”
“Not from Ken.”
“From Carissa?”
Agra shakes. “Not of both. I know of someone who sacrificed his happiness to protect the self-esteem of others. He doesn't even care what it's like to be me.”
Dika's forehead wrinkled. He doesn't know what Agra means, but if it's not from Ken or Carissa. Then where did Agra know the reason for delaying the press conference.
“What time is the press conference?”
He saw his watch. “In a minute, an hour from now. I still haven't made up my mind to your father.”
Agra smiled bitterly. It's all because of my father, but I have to endure his pain. It is I who must suffer for his selfishness, the inner Agra.
“Then what is your decision?”
“I don't know, Agra. My head almost exploded thinking of a solution for you guys.”
“You want Kinara happy, right?”
Dika looked at Agra's face. Both beads they clashed against each other. Dika smiled thinly. “Of course, for him I went so far.”
“Then you have to end it. Keep stepping.”
“What do you mean?”
“Set me, you can get engaged to Allen. That way the problem will be solved, me and Kinara can be together. Everything you do will not be in vain.”
When he got up from the chair, his eyes bulged with hardened jaws. “You think this is messing around? Allen and I don't love each other. How can I live with him.”
Seeing Dika's reaction, Agra laughed.
“I don't love either, Allen. I can't possibly get engaged to her.”
“I know that, but replacing you is not the right solution!" Dika hit the arm of the sofa.
“Why? You're the one who arranged it all, then you're the one who's engaged.”
“Don't be like a child! I can't, Agra. In my heart there is only Kinara.”
“But Kinara only loves me. What's wrong with you sacrificing a little more for both of us.”
Dika approached Agra, clutching the collar of his shirt. “I've opened the way for you! I gave up Kinara for you? Do I have to sacrifice again? Engaged to Allen, cih ... You think that's the best solution?”
Dika pushed Agra's body to fall on the sofa. “Go home, I'll take care of everything. I won't stand in your way and Kinara to be together.” Bending head. “If I have to replace your position, I will try it. Anything I would do for Kinara.”
Agra laughed a little. “There are times when you need to ask for help, Dika. Not all problems can be solved by yourself, give me your hand. So this time I'll help you.”
“What do you mean?!"
“I'll take care of everything. You just need to be quiet, sit sweet and wait for the results.” There was a deep twinkle of sadness in Agra's eyes.
“You're going to cancel that engagement?”
Agra just smiled bitterly.
Get up from the chair. “Whatever my decision. I did it for Kinara.” Agra turned his face away. Rubbing roughly his face, there was a puddle of water in his eyes. “I need a little help. Don't let my parents and Allen's parents come to that press conference. Can you do it?”
Once again Dika's forehead was wrinkled.
“Let me and Allen arrange the rest.”Agra smiled before saying goodbye.
What are you gonna do, Agra? inner Dika.
***
Dika was still sitting in his work chair with his head supported by his hands. He had not eaten all day, only a few sips of water filled his stomach. The problems of Agra, Kinara, and Allen made him dizzy half to death. Whatever path he took would have left one of them injured. Currently Dika could only follow Agra's instructions.
Ken came in in a hurry. His breathing was irregular, in his hands were several sheets of paper.
“Young Master, have you heard the results of that press conference?”
Dika put his face on the table. “I don't want to know, Ken. I don't care if Allen's self-esteem gets ruined or not! None of my business!" Dika believes Agra and Allen's engagement is canceled. That way Agra can be with Kinara.
“No, Young Master. Actually, this is beyond our expectations.” Put that paper down.
Head up. “What do you mean?”
“This is the latest news." Pointing a pile of paper. "Agra and Allen's engagement goes on, Young Master. They both just delay the time until next month.”
Wake up from the chair. “You're kidding me, Ken?”
Ken shakes.
“Then what about Kinara?”
Ken shook his head again. “I don't know, Young Master.”
“If Agra and Allen remain engaged. What it means Kinara did not choose Agra.” Dika picked up the hanging suit and immediately put it on. “We have to go home Kinara.”
“Good, Young Master.”
The car is out of the office. The clock is currently stuck. It's been half an hour stuck in traffic. His seat was not calm, as if he wanted to get to Kinara's house immediately.
“I ride ojek only, Ken.”
So panicked Dika almost got hit by a motorbike when he got out of the car. The current one in his mind only wanted to know Kinara's whereabouts.
🍃Home Kinara🍃
Dika waited for the door to open with a thumping feeling.
“Where is Kinara, Bi?” the question was contrasted with the hunting breath.
“Mrs return home, Young Master.”
“Sial!” Hit wall. “What happened to her Madam?”
“Aibi don't know for sure, Young Master.”
“How was it before leaving?”
Dika has to make sure of that.
Aunt Ane bowed her head. “Mrs keep crying, Young Master. Many times Aunty asked what was up, but the Madam did not answer.”
My God, is there still not enough punishment I received? Why is it like this? inner Dika.
“How long have they been gone?”
“About three hours ago, Young Master.”
“Good, Bi. Thank you.”
Dika decides to wait for Ken to arrive, then they will follow Kinara to the village.
