The POV Haris

I stared at the bandage wrapped around Diana's hand, and a plaster stuck to her forehead. The woman was silent without a word until the nurse left us both in the hospital room.

Diana just got into an accident, she got hit by a car while trying to chase after me. I was terrified when fresh blood poured from my forehead soaking up almost half of his face. Although I hated his arrogant and always condescending vices, I was not crazy enough to expect misfortune to befall him.

Luckily, God still loves him. Even with a fairly hard impact, he only got a relatively mild injury.

Actually, this was not his first desperate act. A few years ago when I asked to separate, Diana immersed herself in cold water until she was almost hit by hypothermia. He always used pressure beyond common sense, so that I couldn't dwell. I'mtired.

"Happy?" Diana opened her voice. I who had been looking down immediately turned to him. My forehead also grimaced his words.

"Happy?"

"Yes, you're satisfied won't see me in pain?"

"The pain you made yourself, Diana. Be aware that our relationship is not healthy."

Diana looked at me sharply. "Everything is fine if you're not playing crazy! Don't ever dream of dumping me!"

"I wouldn't be like this if you also wanted to understand and appreciate me!"

"How much should I pay?"

I was grieving, laughing. "Heh, can everything in your eyes be bought with money?"

"Of course, if you leave me, you will only be miserable. Your mother and sister in the village will probably feel the impact with this action of yours."

"Diana, are you threatening me?"

"I'm just making you realize, what less am I as a wife? Why don't you feel lucky?"

I shook my head slowly, until now Diana felt innocent. It was just me, the ungrateful human in his eyes.

"I'd better go first. You rest."

"Haris, where are you going? We're not done talking!" said fierce.

I ignored Diana's screams, we really need time. Especially Diana to think back, what we had discussed long before I met Keysha.

Just as I opened the door, my steps were immediately stopped by the existence of someone standing before me.

"Where are you going, Haris?"

"Papa?" answer a little confused. I looked away at Diana who called her parents on purpose.

"After what Diana and I have given you, you want to just walk away? Where's your responsibility, Haris?"

I was shocked, so our problem had already reached my in-laws' ears. Diana had always covered it up, at least I didn't need to explain anymore. I glanced at the frozen Diana, was my mind wrong?

"Why not answer? You think, I don't know if you've betrayed Diana? Basic humans do not know themselves, have been invited to live a good life even act, sorry I handed Diana to you!" Papa Diana shouted in front of my face venting her anger. I just kept quiet, because she was the same as Diana. They both don't like to be disputed.

"Every month I pay for your mother's life in the village, but where's your revenge? Just a bunch of thorns, scorn!"

I flinched, what does it mean for Papa Diana to transfer money to my mother? Didn't Diana transfer it with my salary. I looked at Diana questioningly. This time she avoided eye contact with me.

"What are you doing? Asking for an explanation from Diana? Not necessary. I suggested that. I guarantee Diana with all her expenses that can't be covered for half of your salary. Am I not generous enough? But, you're even delicatent. Indeed, the villagers do not fit the thinking of the city people. If it wasn't for Diana, you wouldn't be able to work in an office right now."

I swallowed everything round and round, all reality and the contents of his heart actually he overflowed. How I have no self-respect anymore. How I live only as a troublesome person. Even my own wife makes you as low as trash.

"Then what does Papa want?" challenge fast.

"Punish Diana, and leave without bringing anything from home!"

"FATHER!" Diana was hysterical while I heaved a sigh of relief. Beyond a doubt, it turns out that Papa Diana paved the way for me out of the shackles that had been strangling me all along.

"Well, I'll take care of it!"

"No! I don't want to!!!"
