Awakening /Resurrection

Suddenly, a truck came in a hurry.

Bruckk!

Jae Woo's body flew into the air.

Dizziness similar to falling from the sky without a parachute overwhelmed him. His entire body screamed, feeling a pain that felt as if his entire body was smashed into pieces. The eyes of his family members became increasingly distant ...

'Ah. fuck.'

Jae Woo lost consciousness.

When he woke up, the first thing he saw was his little sister.

"Big brother!"

Their faces were covered in tears.

He would ask them why they were crying, but he could not open his mouth properly.

"Do you recognize me?" ask Yura.

"Sister! Brother!" Mina said anxiously.

"Min."

When they heard her say, "Mina", they were overjoyed and hugged her.

"You're finally awake, brother."

"Really relieving. Seriously, what a relief."

He miraculously came back to life.

A week has passed since Jae Woo's recovery.

He was still bedridden, but he had no problems communicating.

Till now.

"What did you say?" ask Jae Woo.

"You've been in a coma for the last 2 years" said the doctor.

"Excuse me?"

Jae Woo doesn't believe it.

"That's not true.. isn't it?" jae Woo asked, looking at his sister.

'Please tell me it's not true!' his eyes are like crying.

His sister took his hand.

"Sister man..."

"It's okay. You've woken up."

They said, squeezing his hands tightly.

However, their consolation had no effect at all on him.

'2 years?'

It was not 2 days, 2 weeks, or even 2 months. 2 full years!

Jae Woo just stared at the ceiling. He couldn't accept this at all.

"..."

But since her younger sister is beside her, holding her hand, Jae Woo can barely cope with her shock.

"What happened to me?" he asked, wanting to ascertain why he had been in a coma for so long.

"You were hit by a truck" Yura said.

"Truck?"

As soon as he says 'a truck', Jae Woo recalls a picture.

A white truck drove up to the sidewalk, a car light that made him dizzy, and his body that froze in panic!

"Big brother!"

"Are you okay?"

"What about the driver?" jae Woo asked, his face pale.

"They said he died. Right at the scene," Yura replied.

"What about compensation?"

Jae Woo wants to know about compensation. Compensation for 2 years of coma.

Yura and Mina shut up.

"Didn't you hear me?" ask Jae Woo.

"..."

Both cannot answer easily. If they give the wrong response, then Jae Woo might be in shock again.

But based on their reactions, Jae Woo knows what happened.

'We did not receive proper compensation for the accident! Then, my hospital bill...'

"How far do we owe?" ask Jae Woo.

Since they did not get decent compensation, they definitely took out a loan to pay for his medical bills.

He sounded very worried for her.

"It's okay, just tell me," Jae Woo said as gently as possible.

"I'm not so sure, but we sold the house," Mina said as Yura's replacement.

"You sold the house!?" Jae Woo's face immediately wrinkled.

In his 3rd year of high school, Jae Woo loses his father in an accident. They lost the breadwinner, so things got harder.

Thus, Jae Woo quits school and decides to become a pro-gamer to make money.

And it went well.

He was once the best of the best in 'Warlord', the top virtual reality game for the past 5 years.

He is called the 'Human Dragon' in the game. Like, he was so powerful that people compared his skill level to that of a dragon.

Because of this, he made a lot of money selling expensive items and in-game currency.

He had taken many loans, but he had managed to buy a two-story house.

He wanted them to live safely in that house!

But because he had a random accident, the house went into smoke.

"Haa," Jae Woo sighed deeply in frustration.

Then, he saw his sister staring at him.

"Yura, you're in your senior year, right?" Jae Woo forces himself to smile and change the subject.

If he continued to bring up the house, then his mood would be bad.

"Yes." Yeah." Yura knew what she was doing and nodded her head.

"It must be hard to keep learning and taking care of me at the same time. I'm really sorry about that" Jae Woo said.

"You don't have to regret!"

Her apology only made her eyes water, which made her choke as well.

"I'm sorry for you too, Mina." Voice broke.

"It's okay, 'cause you're okay." Mina's eyes also turned red.

"Don't cry, stupid," Jae Woo told Mina.

"Bleh. Your eyes are also red, sister," Mina said as she pointed at her eyes.

"I'm just tired," Jae Woo bluffs so as not to look weak in front of them.

"Yes, yeah. Of course." Mina nodded her head excessively.

"I'm serious!" jae Woo's insistence.

"Of course!"

He obviously couldn't convince them.

"Males can only cry three times. When they were born, when their parents died, and..." Before she finished, Mina interrupted.
