The Tomb of Beskamen I
The tomb of Beskamen II rises, while the tomb of Beskamen I goes underground.
'So there was a mummy at the end of this tomb...'
Pyramids and mummies. He felt something was missing.
"Is there a sphinx here?"
When referring to Egypt, there are three things that often come to mind.
Pyramids, sphinxes, and mummies!
He had seen the pyramid and Grano called the mummy, so all that was left was the sphinx.
"What is a sphinx?"
Grano tilted his head.
"He had a human face, the body of a lion, and... Well, that kind of thing..."
Kang Oh tries to explain what a sphinx is, but Grano doesn't seem to know what he's talking about.
"Is that a monster?"
"It's a 'monster', but..."
"To my knowledge, there are no sphinxes in the Baritone Desert" Grano said.
'Well, I guess there just might not be.'
There is no direct rule stating that if there are pyramids and mummies, there must be a sphinx as well.
"By the way, what kind of monsters appear in this dungeon?" Kang Oh asked.
"Only one kind of monster appears here" Grano said.
"What's that?"
"That."
Grano pointed forward.
Ruffled, ruffled, ruffled.
He heard a leg something quickly coming towards them, as well as some presence.
The light reflected from the bronze mirror illuminated them.
"Celtus!" Kang Oh yelled.
Eyes shine.
A beetle as big as a human face, Celtus!
They are rare monsters that can sometimes be found in deserts or forests.
Kang Oh always wanted to meet them.
"God."
Kang Oh smiled.
Their nickname is the Golden Insect!
They are beetles with golden shells and if defeated, they will drop gold.
A large group of Celtus appeared. From a glance it was seen there were over thirty of them.
"Come here, you're a lot of money!"
Kang Oh could not control his excitement and ran over.
"Geez, I knew he'd be like that."
Eder's expression seemed to say, 'Of course that's what he'll do.'.
"If you were obsessed with money when you were young, they say you were bald when you were old ..." Grano looked at Kang Oh with a worried expression.
"He's so obsessed with money that I wouldn't be surprised if he went bald tomorrow" Eder whispered as if this was the only chance to insult Kang Oh.
"so. It's kind of funny to see the bald-headed Mr. Kang Oh" Grano chimed in.
Either way, Kang Oh pushed towards the middle of Celtus and swung his demonic sword.
"Ha ha ha ha!" he laughed like a madman.
"Ck, tsk."
"Ck, tsk."
Seeing that, Grano and Eder simultaneously clicked their tongues.
* * *
Kang Oh swung down, hitting the shell of Celtus.
Thumping!
Each time the Celtus received damage, they would release gold powder rather than light shards.
So, Kang Oh tickled every time he attacked them.
Is it like swimming in a gold pool?
"Dude, look at that golden powder fly."
Kang Oh grinned.
Fluttering, fluttering.
The Celtus has transparent wings under its golden shell. They flapped their wings and flew towards Kang Oh.
They're after his head, chest, and stomach!
Kang Oh tilted his head to the side, which allowed him to dodge Celtus' tackle, and deflected Celtus toward his chest with his demonic sword.
Finally, he dodged Celtus who was eyeing his stomach by turning his body to the side.
Kang Oh performed all these maneuvers smoothly.
In the midst of that, Eder and Grano joined in.
As soon as he started fighting, Eder threw his Cursed Land Domain.
Thump!
Thump!
He activated the curses of Ruined Ramparts and Rusty Sword consecutively.
"Look!"
Eder beat up the incoming Celtus with his shield.
His shield is shining brightly.
Shield Party!
Shield Bash increases the damage done by the shield and has a fixed chance of being hit by stun.
Thumped.
Celtus started to fall to the ground.
Eder advanced forward, chasing after the Celtus he had sent flying.
Heavy Punch!
He hit the shell of Celtus with his rod.
Explosions.
Due to the effect of the explosion, Celtus flew even further.
Another Celtus flew towards him.
Eder sent them flying with his shield, mace, and feet.
He also started to get excited when he saw that golden powder.
"Ha ha ha!" he laughed out loud.
Indeed, there was something about gold powder that would bewitch a man.
Thumping!
Four Celtus attacked Grano. The sound of their wings flapping was quite boisterous.
Grano cast a spell and raised his free hand.
Water Wall!
Water rose from the ground, forming a wall of water in front of him.
Bam!
The Celtus family banged their heads against the wall, but they did not have enough strength to pass through.
Instead, they floundered miserably as their wings got wet.
Grano extended his hand.
The water wall turned into waves and scattered everywhere.
Woosh!
The waves completely swept over Celtus.
No cleaning without water!
There was only one problem: water also swept away the golden powder in the air.
The more time passed, the more the number of Celtus shrank. In the end, Kang Oh's attack topples the remaining Celtus.
"God."
Kang Oh grinned.
He saw more than 30 Celtus bodies scattered around him, as well as gold coins.
Kang Oh usually asks Eder to take all the loot, but this time it's different.
He bent his back and started picking up the gold himself.
"One two three..."
"They dropped 10 gold."
Kang Oh smiled. It was the feeling of walking across the street and finding some money lying on the ground.
Then, Grano came and took three coins from his hand.
"Huh?"
"I got 30%."
Grano smiled mischievously.
"Ehem. Of course."
Kang Oh decides to keep the rest of his gold in his chest.
However, Eder decided to come now with three golds in hand.
"I'll take today's payment in advance."
Eder also smiled mischievously.
"Ehem."
He had to give her the money, but it felt like Eder had stolen it, rather than giving it away for free.
The only thing that could fill this empty feeling was gold!
"Time is not money, insects are money" Eder said.
"Yes, kill everything that will make money."
Kang Oh advanced with his eyes wide open.
A few moments later.
The crack!
The demon sword Kang Oh had destroyed another shell of Celtus.
Bang out!
While Eder hit the shell of Celtus with his rod.
Wooshs.
Grano wiped them out with water.
Kang Oh's party did not want to lose a single Celtus and thus, killed every Celtus in sight.
* * *
Beskamen I's tomb is quite complex.
There were crossroads and even three forked roads as well. There are even forked roads that go down and that go up.
Grano knew where his boss was, so they had no trouble finding the right path.
They should not have at least...
"It's this road."
Of the two lanes (one up and one down), Grano chose the one down.
"Then let's go here."
Kang Oh pointed towards the opposite path.
"Mr Kang Oh. I know how much you love Celtus, but... If we keep going the wrong way, I'll have a hard time finding the right path" Grano sighed and said.
"Just one more time!"
Kang Oh clasped his hand.
Exactly right.
He wanted to take as many detours as possible to kill more Celtus.
Therefore, he deliberately rejected Grano's instructions and walked on a different path.
"Haa, okay. This will be the last time... It's really gonna be the last time."
******* in out of Grano's dignified face.
"okay."
Kang Oh grinned and continued the path he had chosen.
* * *
Thundering.
A rock as big as a passageway rolled behind them.
"Run!"
Kang Oh, Eder, and Grano dodged the boulder and ran through the passageway they had just passed.
"Huk, heok. I told you this is not the right way!" Shouted Grano while running.
"Haa, huh. This.it's too late. Hoo, hoo! Do you... have a way to get us out of this mess?"
Kang Oh ran diligently.
The huge rock started from the slope, so it got faster and faster.
Which meant it closed the distance between her and Kang Oh's entourage.
"Uahk, I swear I have the worst luck!"
Eder, who was standing guard at the front, had swapped places and was running behind the two of them.
In other words, he would be the first to be crushed by a boulder.
Eder is not the only one. At this rate, Kang Oh and Eder will also be flattened.
'Should I use the Devil Trigger?'
If he used the Devil Trigger, then he would gain access to all sorts of dark-related abilities. If he were to use the Abyss Transfer, then he could dodge that huge stone!
Plus, if the time was right, he could also call Eder to safety.
The problem is Grano. He could not think of a way to save her either.
At that moment, Grano stopped.
"Please hold my robe tightly."
"Do you have a way out of this?"
"Rurry!"
Kang Oh and Eder reach for Grano's robe.
Grano took the magical device from its subspace. It was a mirror with a magic circle engraved on it.
He lifted the mirror up high and shouted, "Teleportation!"
As soon as he said his keyword, the mirror started to emit light.
Slurp.
Kang Oh's party is sucked into the mirror.
They disappeared and the mirror rolled onto the floor.
At the same time!
Rat-a-tat-tat!
The rock passed Kang Oh's party.
It walked all the way to the end of the hallway and hit the wall with a 'thud', only then stopped.
The hallway was filled with silence and dust.
The mirror is still on the ground.
Although it had been broken, the magic circle and the broken shape fused into something that looked like a smile.
It was as if he was smiling because he had finished his task!
* * *
Normally, spatial magic was extremely complex and even difficult to try.
Therefore, it takes a lot of time and preparation.
Otherwise, it would require a large magic circle like the intercity gates, as well as people to nurture it.
However, teleportation was a kind of spatial magic, yet it did not have the restrictions described above.
In other words, it does not require much, if any, preparation, and does not require much time for casting.
One can even activate it instantly like a Grano with a magic device.
And yet!
It had a big problem; people could not choose where they would end up.
Plus, it has a very short range.
So then!
Kang Oh, Grano, and Eder fell to the ground, still inside the Tomb of Beskamen I, in an unknown passageway.
Thumping!
"Ughhh!"
Eder, who was below, squirmed. He had basically become a human hamburger and tried to get out of it.
"Mr Grano, please move!" Kang Oh who was in the middle shouted.
"Ah, I'm sorry."
Grano finally got a grip, understood the situation, and stood up.
Next, Kang Oh and Eder stood up, and cleaned themselves up.
Kang Oh looked around. Fortunately, there were no large rocks rolling towards them.
"Well, we're back to the beginning."
Gran sighed.
Teleportation was great to avoid danger, but the random location where they were moved to should be the start of the dungeon.
Kang Oh just grinned.
"Heh, I think how else. Let's just go ahead and kill Celtus on the street."
It seemed like he had another chance to kill more golden beetles, or Celtus.
"In exchange, you will follow my lead. I don't have any more magic tools that can get us out of harm's way" Grano looked at Kang Oh and said.
“If we are a little more careful ..” Kang Oh disagrees, affirming otherwise.
"Do as you please. If that's what you want, then I'll go" Grano said firmly.
"I'll go with you, Mr. Grano."
Eder clings right next to Grano.
"Ehem. Okay, I get it."
Kang Oh has no choice but to follow Grano.
Afterwards, Kang Oh's entourage passed through Beskamen I's Tomb at an astonishing speed.
Grano never once chose the wrong path. Plus, there were no more large stones rolling.
"Here."
Grano stop.
There were tightly sealed stone gates on both sides in front of them.
"We really got here fast."
Eder looked at Kang Oh with a gaze that said 'If not for you!'.
Kang Oh felt as if he had been stabbed. He avoided Eder's gaze and asked, "Is the mummy inside?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Let's see this mummy, okay?"
Kang Oh stepped forward and pushed the stone gate.
Crunched.
Stone gates began to open on both sides.
