He Who Opposes Death, Eder (1)
The jet-black energy that exploded back into his blade, and the demon sword immediately calmed down.
The sword appeared unchanged.
However, Kang Oh knew what had changed.
The wisp of darkness, which had made the mist from its blade like smoke, had disappeared. Instead, the blade had become a darker black color.
"What's all of a sudden?" Darion asked.
He could not help but feel curiosity. A second ago, the sword got out of control, but it calmed down soon after.
“The demon sword has grown stronger,” said Kang Oh briefly.
Then, he opened the window of the demon sword item.
[Devil Sword Ubist (Lv31/+1)]
The sword where Ubist, the Demon Beast King and the Predator Abyss, was sealed.
The subtle darkness was within his blade. It was made of an unknown alloy.
Untradable.
If you die, there is a high chance that the magic sword will fall, or you will become a monster under the control of the demonic sword for 24 hours.
+ Predator: Eat anything and all items. When it was fully charged, the demon sword would become stronger and gain special abilities.
[Satiety: 0.01%]
+ Gluttony: By consuming BB rank items or higher, you enter the Gluttony mode. All abilities are duplicated for a limited time.
Steal stats from fallen enemies while Gluttony is active. This feature can only be used once in a day.
+ Abyss Blade: A jet black sword made of darkness. It was capable of cutting out the intangible like ghosts or spirits.
It can absorb incoming magic every 30 seconds. If magic is absorbed, satiety increases. (+1 strengthening ability)
Rank: SS
Ability: Attack Power 80, Physical +16.
Provision: Completing the Magic Sword Trial.
Chasm knife!
Not only did it allow him to pierce through ghosts and spirits, but it could also absorb magic!
For Kang Oh, who had to deal with the Skeleton Mage, it was truly a useful special ability.
Now he had nothing to fear from magic.
"You're all dead."
Kang Oh leaned his sword on his shoulder and orderedly walked forward.
A ball of fire flew towards him.
'Come!'
Kang Oh stormed the fireball and swung his demonic sword.
The fireball swirled like a vortex and was sucked into his sword!
[Ubist has absorbed the fireball. Satisfaction has increased by 0.02%.]
Kang Oh rushed forward and swung down, hitting the Skeleton Mage's head.
Darkness Attack!
The explosion!
The enormous impact caused the Skeleton Mage to tremble. Soon after, the Skeleton Mage was split into small pieces of bone.
[You have defeated the Skeleton Mage.]
[Stats have been stolen via Darkness Strike.]
[Magic +1]
Kang Oh looked at his demonic sword and grinned.
'As expected of an SS rank masterpiece.'
The Abyss Blade increased in speed as he defeated the magician at an astonishing speed.
It was because the spell the Skeleton Mage used, Fireball, could be absorbed by his demonic sword.
"They're coming" cried Darion.
As he said, the two Skeleton Warriors approached quickly.
Kang Oh peacefully looked behind his sword, but Darion's voice made him come to his senses from his stupor.
Although the Skeleton Mage was no longer a problem, he still had to bring his A game to defeat the Skeleton Warriors.
"Come here, you're having points!"
Since they produced so many experience points, he treated them that way.

Kang Oh explores and hunts inside the He Who Opposes Death, Eder's Secret Laboratory for three days.
'This is the only place left.'
The only place he had yet to explore was the passageway protected by four Skeleton Warriors and two Skeleton Mages.
The last boss was probably waiting for him inside.
Plus...
Great wealth awaits him!
Of course, he had to take care of the four Skeleton Warriors and the two Skeleton Mages first.
“I'll take care of the witches. You take care of the soldiers,” said Kang Oh.
"I'll take care of the witches, so please take care of the soldiers" Darion said.
"I can absorb their magic, so I'm more suited!"
It was a more rational and correct choice, yet Darion stubbornly shook his head.
"Four Skeleton Warriors were harder to deal with than two witches. You're stronger than me, so you have to look after them" Darion said, unwilling to back down.
"You're a level higher than me!"
"You beat me in a duel!"
"I'm your master!"
Kang Oh used the last trick up his sleeve.
"I didn't do it. Do whatever you want."
Darion is going on strike!
Kang Oh and Darion stared at each other intently.
Darion's eyes looked aggressive.
Over the past few days, Darion had endured all sorts of abuse and been forced to work like a dog, so all that was left was a grudge.
'The next time I make a contract, I have to remember to add a compliance clause.'
He is not sure if Darion will renew his contract, but that is what he will do if the opportunity arises. Kang Oh then makes a new offer.
"Let's decide with the rock-paper-scissors!"
"Good."
* * *
"Umuak!" Shouted Darion while dragging the Skeleton Warrior along with him.
'No problem. You're still just Darion.'
Kang Oh is clearly the winner of their rock-scissor-paper game.
"You wait and see!" Darion yells.
That's what the line villain said.
"Now."
With Darion acting as bait, the Skeleton Warriors have been lured away from the witches.
Kang Oh rushed towards the Skeleton Mage.
Then, the two witches threw fireballs at him.
Fireballs come from left and right!
Kang Oh cut the approaching fireballs from the right and advanced towards each of the witches.
Whooshing sound!
Kang Oh swung his sword. His sword split through the air and hit the witch's head.
The witch spun from top to bottom like a spinning top.
Kang Oh continues his attack.
After showing his weakness with his Hyper Intuition, he continued to attack the helpless witch.
Red shards exploded from his body!
In the end, the mage could not resist his attack.
The other Skeleton Mage immediately met the same fate and returned to his grave.
"Master Kang Oh!" Darion anxiously called as soon as Kang Oh finished off the witches.
"I'm coming!"
Kang Oh rushed towards Darion, who was surrounded by four Skeleton Warriors.
Moments later, they defeated the last Skeleton Warriors.
"Heok, heok," Darion gasped.
That's close. It felt like he had escaped death twice in a row.
Of course, that only applies to Darion; kang Oh is fine.
After all, the road to the boss was now open.
"Are you okay?" Kang Oh asked in a daze
Then, he started dragging Darion.
"Let's kill the boss!"
'He Who Opposes Death, Eder, ' he thought. 'I wonder what kind of man he is!?'
* * *
They were greeted by a giant hall.
Upon entering the hall, a shadow was cast and a gigantic fist flew overhead.
The two quickly threw themselves out of the way.
The explosion!
As soon as the fist hit the ground, the earth shook and dust flew everywhere.
Thump!
Thump!
A golem, composed of countless bones, pushed through the cloud of dust and approached them.
His fists were large, his forearms thick, and his body was square; although his legs were as thick as pillars, his legs were short.
It had no head, but the pattern on its square body was shaped like a face.
It was the boss monster, He Who Opposed Death, Eder!
It might not be higher than level 100.
Stab!
Kang Oh's blade pierced through Eder's body, causing the bones to explode.
Eder stepped on the area where Kang Oh had just been.
Of course, Kang Oh sensed danger with his Hyper Intuition and dodged the attack.
Thud.
The ground retains the golem footprints.
If Kang Oh had not dodged his attack, then he was already dead.
"You rat!" a voice came from Eder's body.
"What are you saying, you pile of bones!" Said Kang Oh. 'You are just a monster!'
Eder raised her hand to the sky. A red light shone from his square body.
Then, the thick bones covering his body exploded out.
"She!"
He could hear Darion screaming.
"Damn!"
Kang Oh quickly stuck his sword on the ground and hid behind it.
"Go behind me!"
Darion threw herself towards Kang Oh and managed to get behind him.
Bam, bam, bam!
Countless bones made contact with his sword.
Every bone that came into contact with his sword shattered like glass, but some of those pieces also hit Kang Oh and Darion.
[You've been scratched by broken bones. You've taken 32 damage. The wound is formed.]
[You've been punctured by some sharp bone fragments. You have received 80 damages.]
While they defend against a barrage of Eder bone shards, Kang Oh's eyes turn into the eyes of a predator looking for its prey.
He could see something green appearing every time Eder used his special ability.
His Hyper Intuition urged him to aim for that 'something.
There was something suspicious inside the golem; his Hyper Intuition told him that it was his weakness.
'That's core!'
What kind of monster is a golem?
Although they were extremely tough and powerful, they could be destroyed easily if their cores were destroyed.
If that is the case, then ...
Kang Oh protected his body with his demonic sword and stepped forward, towards where Hyper Intuition guided him.
"Ugh, what are you doing !?" Shouted Darion from behind.
Bam, bam, bam!
Even more bones hit his sword. So, they were exposed to more bone fragments!
It might have been worse for Darion, but it didn't matter. Darion's not his business now!
The bone splinter became worse the closer he got.
Kang Oh's HP immediately dropped below half. Clearly, Darion was closer to death than he was.
"Geek!"
Darion kept shouting from behind him.
Even so, Kang Oh continued to advance.
How far has he come?
"Stay away from me!"
Kang Oh must have heard Eder's voice, even in the rain of bones.
'As I expected. Such a powerful attack has a weakness.'
The weakness was that the core of the golem would be exposed.
Since the technique made use of the bones that protected its core, it seemed like it was an obvious weakness.
Before long, no more bone fragments flew towards him, as if he had entered the eye of a storm.
He lowered his sword and saw something green!
The core of the golem was a green ghost that looked like a human!
Kang Oh grinned.
'Good.'
The Abyss Blade, which absorbed magic, was also able to cut through ghosts and spirits.
"Be the experience point!"
Kang Oh raised his sword, ready to attack.
"Wait-wait!"
The green ghost quickly shook his hand.
"And drop some good stuff."
Kang Oh was completely unaffected by his request.
No need for words!
The demonic sword fell.
Then, the ghost shouted, "I'll give you money! No, I'll give you everything I have!"
* * *
The jet-black sword grazed the front of his ghost body; kang Oh had changed the direction of his sword in the middle.
"Uh."
Eder groaned, though the demon sword did not actually touch him.
'That damn sword is the enemy of all ghosts.'
The demon sword was the nemesis of ghosts; he was like a rat in front of a snake. Eder stiffened and his eyes trembled.
The hidden dungeon boss, Eder, shouldn't be an easy opponent.
Normally, attacking Eder's core would trigger the second phase of the battle; Eder would turn into a ghost witch and would retaliate with all sorts of spells.
But that's only if everything goes as usual.
As the demonic sword approached, he instinctively realized what it could do to him.
Ghosts may be immune to physical attacks, but Ubist's darkness allows its users to penetrate the intangible, thus making it a nemesis of ghosts.
If he were to be hit by a demonic sword just once, he would die!
So, Eder didn't even try to fight him.
"Everything?" Kang Oh asked, staring at the trembling Eder.
He was interested in the word: "everything". That was why he changed the trajectory of his sword in the middle.
"Y-Yeah. Everybody!" Eder's voice vibrated.
"Hm."
Kang Oh pointed his sword at the ghost's neck.
Although ghosts could not break out in cold sweat, it felt like that.
"Just kill him" Darion said.
Darion spoke in time, which was not like him. He probably didn't mean it, and just wanted him to finish Eder off.
"Should we?"
"T-please!" Eder pleaded, clenching his hands together.
'He Who Opposes Death, Eder...'
As the name implies, he was the type of person who would do anything to avoid death.
"Please listen to what I have to say!" Said Eder suddenly.
Kang Oh decided to cheer her up.
* * *
Long ago…
Once upon a time, there was a physician who was rumored to have the power of God.
The healer helped a few people, then more, and more.
Their fame grew so rapidly that it was said that they had defeated death itself.
Wealth, honor, power.
They got everything.
The healer became proud of their great strength and that pride soon turned into arrogance.
"I have conquered death" cried the physician in high spirits.
The Healer Who Conquered Death!
What a noble title.
But that's when everything went wrong. The words of the physician had angered the Goddess of Death, Deborah.
"Let's see if you have really conquered death" Deborah told them in a dream.
He could not recognize her, as her black veil covered her face, but he could hear her voice; as cold as a snow-covered mountain peak.
When the healer woke up the next day, they began to suffer from an unknown illness.
They tried to heal themselves by all means available to them, but nothing worked.
There were rumors that the healer had been cursed by the Goddess of Death herself and that they could not cure their own illness, so there was no longer anyone looking for the healer.
Thus, the physician's reputation, as one who could conquer death itself, was thrown to the ground.
The healer, who had lost everything, only had a grudge left.
They were absorbed in their research, to cope with any death that occurred!
Healers do not care what method is used. They try anything.
They tried medicine, holy medicine, magic, and even necromancy!
However, the Death Goddess's illness was too powerful.
In the end, healers froze their bodies inside glass tubes. Fortunately, they can stop the progression of their disease.
With necromancy, their souls can exit their bodies and continue their research.
“That's me,” said Eder, kneeling in front of Kang Oh.
He Who Opposes Death, Eder, is none other than the healer, Eder, He Who Conquers Death!
"Mm, I get it." Kang Oh involuntarily nodded his head.
To be honest, he wasn't too interested in Eder's circumstances, but he was interested in his treasure.
Especially gold!
Since she was the head of her family household, she needed money; money to pay off her family's debts, money to buy a house, money for gaming capsules, and money to send her little sister to college.
"So how much can you give me?" Kang Oh asked.
