Healing Reika

"I can cure him." Lein nodded.

"!!" Edvart and Anna shed tears upon hearing that Lein could cure Reika.

"Is that true, Lein!?" Edvart approached Lein and held both of his shoulders.

"True Mr. Edvart." Lein nodded and looked into Edvart's eyes without any sign of lying.

Edvart could also see Lein was not lying and because he believed in Lein and also because no one could cure Reika anymore.

"Please.." Edvart took a step back and bowed his body.

Reika, Anna, and John are shocked by Edvart's actions of bowing to Lein and asking for help.

Reika did not think that her husband was willing to bend his body to others for the sake of his recovery.

"Don't bow uncle, just give me a reward later." Lein.

"Haha." Edvart was surprised by Lein's words and then he laughed.

Edvart is increasingly fond of this intelligent Lein, he says that he only needs rewards later which means he did heal Reika not for the sake of Anna or John.

Lein will heal Reika for her own benefit and does not require any polite actions.

"What do you want in return for Lein?" Edvart asked.

"I'll think about it later, for now I'll heal Aunt Reika first." Lein.

"Well, what are the necessary medicinal ingredients?" Edvart is serious.

"John already told me that Aunt Reika was exposed to Icy Illness because of the strange rose, which means her healing ways are also different." Lein

"What is needed is not medicinal ingredients or potions, but pure salt from the central continent." Lein's words tell her what it takes to cure Reika.

"Pure salt? Why?" Edvart asked because he did not understand why he should use pure salt.

"Pure salt will be dissolved using holy water and produce saline liquid." Lein explained.

"These fluids are used to replace lost body fluids, correct electrolyte imbalances, and keep the body well hydrated." Added Lein.

"So that's the case, but why does it look so easy?" Ask Edvart.

"Indeed, but the most important thing is not the pure salt or its holy water, but the energy that was put into Aunt Reika's body along with the time of entering the salt liquid." Lein.

"Energy?" Edvart narrowed his eyes.

"Yes." Yeah." Lein nodded and looked into Edvart's eyes.

".... Alright." Edvart did not ask further.

"Anna, come with me to the MYRANT chamber of commerce, they must have pure salt from the central continent." Take Edvart.

"Why not just tell Grandpa Tien?" Ask Anna.

"It's related to the healing of your mother, father and you who must act." Edvart sighed.

"ah! Alright!" Anna realized.

"John, you're coming too." Edvart also invited John.

"Good uncle." John nodded.

"Do you want to stay here or rest in another room?" Edvart asked Lein and Jonas.

"It shouldn't be long, right? Then we'll just be here." Answer Lein.

"All right, wait for us." Edvart and the others went to the MYRANT chamber of commerce.

Lein raised his left hand and used Divine Power for Reika.

"Uh?" Reika realizes Lein's actions but she doesn't know what it's for.

"It's..." After the divine power entered Reika's body, she felt a sense of warmth and it seemed like her body's condition had improved a little.

"With this you should be able to speak freely, Aunt Reika." Lein.

It turned out that Lein was using Divine Power for Reika so that Reika could speak.

"That power... divine power isn't it?" It was the first sentence Reika spoke as she could speak.

"ah! I'm sorry!" Reika realized her mistake.

"Thank you for making my body better, Lein." Reika thanked me.

"No problem Auntie." Lein nodded.

"And as for the previous question, right, it is divine power." Lein answered Reika's question.

"I used divine power because I can feel you also have it, Auntie." Lein took a chair and sat down next to Reika.

"!?" Reika widened her eyes in surprise.

"How did you know?? Only the church and my husband know that I have divine power." Reika asked Lein.

"Easy, because my divine power is greater than yours." Replied Lein in a relaxed tone.

"Ah, it's also true why I can forget about it." Reika sighed.

"Are you a follower of Goddess Ariel? or who?" Lein curious.

"I'm a follower of Goddess Ariel." Reika answered.

"I've guessed, after all, Goddess Ariel is the most famous." Lein.

"Then what about your great divine power? Are you a follower of Goddess Ariel too?" Reika asked with sparkling eyes.

"..." - ".Lein put on a disgusted expression.

"W-what? Why are you putting on such an expression?" Ask Reika.

"I believe that there are gods and goddesses, but I don't trust them." Answer Lein.

"Why? Shouldn't you trust them?" Reika asked confusedly.

"Then I'll ask you too, why do mortal beings believe in gods and goddesses?" Ask Lein.

"Is it because they are stronger? more intelligent? or because they're superior?"

"That's..." Reika didn't know what to say.

"I don't know what other people think, but the reason I believe in gods and goddesses is because my mother was sick after giving birth to me."

"Then my father's friend who was a priest came and healed my mother with divine power and in the name of Goddess Ariel."

"Then my father always told me that my mother was healed because of the building of Goddess Ariel, that's why I believed in Goddess Ariel and became her follower." Answer Reika.

"So, well it's natural for someone to believe because of what they see and what they feel." Lein.

"Then why don't you trust the gods and goddesses?" This time it was Reika's turn to ask.

"My life is hard, I don't have anyone who can help me and no good-natured person to help me."

"I don't trust gods because to trust them means to hope for them. Pray and hope it's not needed in my life."

"And being always hopeful, I probably won't try so hard to solve my problems, because I believe that the gods will help me."

Lein said the reason why he did not believe in gods and goddesses. A logical reason and also the reason Lein said was not wrong.

Reika did not know what life Lein had been living to the point that she did not believe in gods and became this kind of person.

"Then how did you obtain such great divine power without trusting them?" Reika asked.

"Because I made a deal with them." Answer Lein honestly.

"Deal!?" Reika surprised.

"Yes, deal." Lein nodded.

"Ahh I don't believe.a man makes a deal with gods and goddesses." Reika shook her head.

"It can't be trusted." Lein also did not care whether Reika believed it or not.

"Then, one more question, do you hate gods and goddesses?" Ask Reika.

"Hm, I don't hate them but I don't like them either, I'm neutral." Lein is not on his side.

"So that's enough to calm me down." Reika smiled.
