Cavern Worm That Should Live Alone

"Rye, what attack did you use?" Lein asked Rye who was still shocked.

"Ah, I'm a spear user! But with my ability, I usually attack enemies by throwing my spear." Answer Rye.

"Throwing spears? What are your abilities if you can tell." Lein was a little curious about Rye's abilities.

"It's okay, my ability is to create sand spears. So I usually create a lot of spears and throw them at the enemy." Rye told me her ability.

"Are you throwing manually or using where?" Lein asks how Rye throws her spear.

"Manual, I'm not very good at mana control. So I just use mana as a booster." Answer Rye.

"So then, is there a limit to how much you can create a sand spear?" Lein asked again.

"Where, if I lack mana then I won't be able to create a sand spear." Rye answered honestly.

"Where? Good, your job right now is to throw your sand spears at any place around the Cavern Worm, let me kill them."

"And don't worry about where, I'll provide mana if needed." Lein uses flying magic for Rye.

"Alright, I also can't really kill the Cavern Worm with my spear." Rye agreed with Lein's plan.

Rye familiarized herself first with the flying magic for a while, then after a few minutes of being able to control it, Rye was ready.

Rye created countless sand spears and threw one by one spears around the Cavern Worm to confuse them.

Lein flew between the Cavern Worm while looking for an opening to attack. It just so happened that there were two Cavern Worms opening their mouths.

"Dragon Language: The Fire Bomb." Lein made two fireballs and threw them towards the mouth of the second Cavern Worm.

As before, the Cavern Worm whose mouth was hit by a fire bomb explosion lost their heads and its body fell down.

The bodies of the two Cavern Worms that fell down produced a huge sound and vibration that made the Cavern Worm around him think that there was a strong enemy.

Half of the number of Cavern Worms approached the two bodies that had died while opening their mouths wide to attack.

"Haha, I didn't expect it to be this easy." Lein created many more fireballs and launched her into all the Cavern Worms that opened their mouths.

Rye who was above the sky opened her mouth in astonishment at the scene below her as half the number of Cavern Worms were killed with a simple strike.

"Who is this guy really? If what he said about helping us was true, then he would be a great help to us." Inner Rye.

Rye constantly created a spear and threw it towards the surroundings of the surviving Cavern Worm.

It didn't take long for the two of them to kill around 30 more Cavern Worms easily.

Rye went downstairs and saw that Lein was cutting off all the tail of the Cavern Worm and storing it in her inventory.

"Do you just need a tail?" Rye walked over to Lein.

"Yes, I don't need her other body parts because it has no selling point. Just take it all if you need it." Answer Lein.

"Thank you, I'll just take the meat. The meat of the Cavern Worm was a meat that was well-liked by us Gias Race." Rye walked towards the end of the Cavern Worm's body that was unprotected by the hard skin.

"They like the Cavern Worm meat? Are they crazy to like meat like that!?" Lein widened her eyes in disbelief.

Meat Cavern Worm does have a soft and chewy texture but the texture changes 180 degrees when processed.

The texture of Cavern Worm meat will be hard as stone when fried, boiled, burned, or processed by other methods.

"Wait, how did Ras Gias cultivate the meat of the Cavern Worm?" Lein became curious as he also wanted to eat the meat of the Cavern Worm.

"Dried, smoked, and eaten raw with some seasonings added for flavor enhancers only." Replied Rye who was still cutting the meat of the Cavern Worm.

"Instead? Don't you feel disgusted?" Lein was a little surprised by his methods.

"Again, even if it's not tasty, we also have to eat it because not many species have meat with a soft texture here."

"Most of them have a hard meaty texture." Rye shrugged her shoulders.

"Right as well, humans did not want to eat the flesh of the Cavern Worm due to the appearance of its monsters. Maybe I'll try that too.." Inner Lein.

"I'll take a little of his meat too. I became curious about her taste after you said that." Said Lein who cut the meat of the Cavern Worm as well.

"Of course, take it. The meat on one body of the Cavern Worm could for around ten thousand people eat for one day."

"There are about 30 more here, so they can all be used for three hundred thousand people to eat for one day." Rye.

"A lot too, do you often eat the meat of the Cavern Worm?" Ask Lein.

"Hm, arguably not often but not also rarely, although it can be to eat a lot of people but the Cavern Worm is rarely found." Rye touched her chin.

"Wait..." Lein realized something strange.

"What's wrong? Uh..." Rye also realized something.

"The Cavern Worm is a monster that lives alone, not in groups..." Said Lein and Rye simultaneously.

"Why then do they attack us in large numbers? Are they interested in us?" Rye thought hard.

"No, even if they're interested in us, they won't bother each other." Lein shook his head.

"Then, why did this happen...." Rye still couldn't find her reason.

"There was one thing that came to my mind, and most likely this was true." Lein narrowed his eyes.

"really? What'sthat?" Rye was curious.

"Anarchy Order's. They must have done something with the Cavern Worm." Said Lein in a serious tone.

"!! - How could I forget!" Suddenly Rye shouted.

"You found me next to the tent, didn't you? The tent was used by the Anarchy Order to make a plan."

"Because of her quiet environment, I tried to approach the tent. Yet they realized my existence and made me faint with strange magic."

"Then as you can see, I don't have any wounds on my body. It could be that they deliberately allowed me to serve as food for the Cavern Worms."

"It seems like what you think is right, Lein..." Rye explained why she could be near the tent.

"Hm, so these Worm Caverns actually wanted to prey on you but it just so happened that I came and made them unable to eat mua ya..." Lein touched his chin.

"Yes, it's most likely that way." Rye nodded.

"How long will it take for us to get to the Tundra Country?" Ask Lein.

"Not far, only a half-day trip if walking." Rye replied while pointing in a direction.

"Half a day by walking, then if we fly at high speed, it will take about one to two hours only." Inner Lein.

Lein uses flying magic for herself and for Rye. Then Lein used his mana to lift all the bodies of the Cavern Worm.

"Rye, lead the way, I'll follow you." Lein.

"By bringing along the numerous bodies of the Cavern Worm, are you able to withstand it?" Rye was a little worried.

"Don't worry, I'm stronger than you think." Said Lein in a serious tone.

"All right." Rye nodded then flew towards the Tundra Country followed by Lein who was carrying an awful lot of Cavern Worm bodies.
