Before Lein returned home, Lein sold the catch to a merchant in the safe zone in the tent of the MYRANT chamber of commerce.
Lein got 22,000 FEZ because what he sold was only a low-level Pyre Octopus. After the transaction, Lein headed to the transportation area and boarded a bus that aimed at the city.
